“If you’re with THEM I don’t want your help,” Tas growled at the newcomer with the gray case. She was fading case, your could see it in her eyes. If something wasn’t done soon, the beast would gain control of her. “Are your with O.R.C?”

The twin lunar beings drifted slowly around each other, almost as they were in a slow dance under the presence of the scattered moonlight caused by overhanging clouds. With the naked eye it was a bit hard to tell what phase of the moon it was- which side of the coin favored which of the two siblings, but at this time it didn’t matter to them; they weren’t in combat this night. The boom of thunder roared out to the distance once more, causing them to glance skyward before catching their gazes again in thought.

“It… couldn’t be a sign, could it?” the Phantom began, his simple silhouette of deep, defining colors still able to suggest expression. “For whatever reason they may be trying to signal us, it wouldn’t be too hard to imagine these odd thunderstorms coming from Zekrom, or-”

“No, I’m afraid,” the Seraph cut in, a hand reaching her face in thought. “Last I checked- as in, before reaching this dimension- he was with his brothers, or back at the castle.” She bit her lip as she considered the possibilities. “They… the Deities and our Progenitors had tasked only me to accompany you, and there are better ways of contacting us than something as vague as thunder.” Perhaps there was someone else watching over, not from where they came from? If the readings of the surplus of energy were anything to go by, it would be foolish to believe this was any normal human realm.

And those musings could be confirmed from what observations Nichts has done earlier. However, once he fully registered the phrasing of Nitida’s words, the mentioning of their superiors, the man of shadow suddenly turned directly toward her. “Wait, what did you-”

He stopped short when a lone yet familiar figure suddenly stumbled upon the alley. Tch, speak of the devil; though not their devil or even remotely one, he was still indeed a fellow who was watching them even though it was not to the scale they were going at. The Lord huffed as he withdrew his words, joining the Curator as they hovered over the human, scrutinizing him. Considering the different planes they were in, it was impossible for him- or anyone- to detect the two through normal means when they were idle, their presence in the boundaries stable.

That is, until there was high abnormalities back where the circus was, causing the both of them to be in immediate alert. They could feel and detect every flux of energy even when they are not wholly in the Dream Realm, people suddenly dropping into deep comas and the volatile readings of others in the area. Odd cracks trailed the ground around sewers as fungi spewed and slithered across in the same direction.

The two faced each other once more as Nitida gulped, searching the wispy form of her brother. “You… you were there, right? You were at the circus-”

“And I have done nothing!” In an instant Nichts was in defense as if she was suspecting him, his azure eyes glinting a dangerous cyan as he growled. “I was merely looking into some entities that caught my interest, but I have nothing to do with that.” His figure shifted and twisted closer to his natural form, nearly glaring daggers. “You spoke with the others and followed me here because you don’t trust me, did you not? Thinking I’ll stir and cause havoc in this new world, in this new dimension as if I were in a clean slate, hm?”

Nitida winced and withdrew at the sharp retort, her carmine eyes widening as she clenched her jaw and hands. Warm light engulfed her and she firmly shook her head as she hovered closer, causing the Phantom to turn away while still training his eyes at her. “No! Brother, no. I meant nothing to accuse you for this! You say you saw ‘entities of interest’ at the circus, and if you are implying more as we suspect then they may be involved in this ordeal.” She slowly reached out a gentle hand to him in reassurance, only for him to flinch away. “Yes, they summoned and informed me, arriving of my own will. But I had no intention of hunting you down. I followed you here because we were concerned, worried.” He was just about to call that out, his face contorting as he was about to rasp but she was quick to continue. “What would happen if something befell you, Darkrai? Coming alone to this dimension with no foresight to its contents. There is no telling what could happen!”

His eye twitched at the use of his true name, and their gazes locked once more with varying degrees of intensity and convection. For the briefest flights of moments, the lights and the shadows that were cast in the alley curled and churned ever so slightly in the Overworld in response to their bout.

Mirabelle looked at the horned man for a few moments, only for eyes to snap to the man in the suit. If there was anything Mirabelle was weary of, it was a man in suit, or anyone or anything that looked even remotely military. Her eyes narrowed a bit and her face goes from concern for the woman to an sort of bitter scowl for a bit. Then he seemed to turn to metal to her surprise. He then said he had a “gene suppressor” that she needed. Mirabelle then stopped to think. Could I make one? Mirabelle thought. She could not only manipulate her DNA, but manipulate the DNA of other organisms as well by sending her own micro organisms and bio-bots into their bloodstream, or even have an organism grow inside someone and manipulate their DNA as it grows. However, this would be dangerous, Mirabelle did not know her DNA nor did she know where in the woman’s genome the problem was. What gene or what genes were causing the problem, if that was even the problem.

Mirabelle’s face softened as her mind went back to woman, she could worry about that man later. There was tall man in front of her. Maybe he’d know what to do? She went closer then looked at the strange talking troll. and looked up at the troll, tugging lightly at this tall man’s slacks so she could get his attention. “Hey Mister Hey Mister!” She said as she did so. “Something bads happening to her…” She starts. “I think she is turning into something and its bad. She’s trying to hold it back. I think she might be a werewolf, or something like that…I think she’s gonna turn soon! Very very soon!” Mirabelle looked up at the troll now quiet. She gulped. She didn’t say it, but she was not sure what should be done. She looked to him with her bright hazel eyes as child would look to an adult, for a guidance. She had a look of fear and uncertainty.

Vorgun tried to understand the concern of the young girl now pulling at his slacks. He Heard her mention a transformation and the word werewolf. He didn’t know what that was but the anger on the woman’s face and the concern of the other woman had him confused. Vorgun hated confusion; it clouded his mind and made him angry. He looked back to the fallen woman and saw how her pupils were different from normal humans. Just as quick as he extended his hand to help he retracted his arm and pulled his mace out of his puzzle modus. He was beginning to lose his temper and growled to the woman, “You…I donn’t knnow what you are but itss nnot a nnormmal hummann.” He kept his mace pointed to the changing woman only to turn and bark at the other, “You there. Tell mme…what iss a werewolf? After you tell mme i ssuggesst you runn…i ssuggesst all of you runn. I donnt wannt to hurt annyonne” Vorgun held his mace in one hand and grabbed his head with the other. His head was pounding and his anger began to get worse. The golden ring on his left middle finger began to pulse a bright red as he clasped his head. He turned to the young girl and mumbled, “Runn. Pleasse. Jusst. Runn.”

Th little girl’s eyes widened as the man pulled out the mace and she stood between the two. “No no no no. It’s not her fault!” Much like many animals, and dogs, Mirabelle could sense the emotions of people and other animals. And this man had air and anger. The little girl was getting distraught. Now there are potentially two problems on her hand and people who were going to fight, violence at this point seems almost inevitable. But the man asked her question, it seems like she should answer it. However the first word out of her mouth was “uuhhhhhhhhhhhhh” She was trying so hard to keep calm in this situation.

Mirabelle’s eyes were darting about. She was at wrecked circus in between two people, both of whom are becoming so dangerous that they both are telling her to run from them. However, Mirabelle wasn’t going to run from this. It was in her nature to try to better things for others. To try to make sure everything turns out alright. She had more power then most people. If things go awry, Mirabelle is most concerned about one of these two killing eachother rather then herself. It then struck her that she still needed to answer the tall (relative to Mirabelle currently who is about 4 ‘6 range). “A werewolf…is a half man…” Mirabelle was gathering her thoughts. “Half wolf….creature. That is very strong. And kinda big…”

Mirabelle stopped there. And looked around. What she could she do? She saw the man in the suit. She narrowed her eyes at him again. “Why don’t you just give her the cure?!” She yelled angrily at him. He should have given her the cure if he had it! Why didn’t he! It made Mirabelle want to run over to the man and punt him in his sensitive area hard enough for him to fly 20 or so feet into the air. However he was probably heavier then a normal human, so he wouldn’t go up as far. He armored himself so, it probably wouldn’t kill him, like it would any regular human. Then the idea struck her. She looked at the troll trying to get his attention and was hopping. “ITS HIS FAULT!!” She whines as she points at the man in the suit.

She hops up and down. Her sentences began melding and mushing together as she repeated and bantered endlessly jumping up and down “IT’S HIS FAULT IT’S HIS FAULT IT’S HIS FAULT IT’s HIS FAULT!” Mirabelle stamped her foot down assertively, shaking the ground briefly and causing cracks in the rock below. This made it easier for the fungus to sprout from the ground outside of view, within boothes and crevances about the area, hidden mostly from sight. It began to turn from fungus, to a green flesh like material, web like muscle fibers and plates of armor what looked to be mostly transparent armor. Mirabelle wanted to keep mass near by, just in case she would need it….

However, flowers were growing visibly from the ground around the area and they were sprouting rather quickly in a variety of colors…

“Nix…” the sister offered, her voice gentle as she tentatively used one of the endearing nicknames they had, aliases that are hardly ever muttered from each others lips in a long time. The brother was almost unmoving, eying the still out-stretched hand in hesitation and reluctance.

Amidst it there was yet another fluctuation in the Dream Realm, and this time the two flinched out of their reverie at the force of it. The energy pulsating and resulting trauma was practically overflowing to them now, especially considering their sensitivity to the psyche; a hissing drone phasing through them as Nichts buckled over and Nitida nearly collapsing on herself from the stress. Back in their home dimension, a wince would be the most of the initial reaction they would get to readings such as these, as they were properly attuned and adjusted to its patterns and waves (and with plenty, plenty of experience). But in a whole new world such as this? It was akin to a newly hatched, sea-faring bird being thrown right out of the nest to the open, windy sky, and then into the raging waters down below.

The Seraph began to quiver as her eyes widened, clutching her arms and huddling into a ball, into the fetal position. These were the kinds of fits she dreaded the most about her receptive abilities, why she grew to her will to confront the source at all costs, why it thus grew to combat… She shook her head curtly and forced herself to calm down, still shaky as she pivoted and her face downcast. “I… I must go. I-I must…” she fragmented in both speech and figure, reaching for a ray of light so she can flash step to the circus. It was her duty, her obligation. The point of origin was so close, every fiber of her being wishes to reach out and soothe it. But…

“Nyx…!” But before she could so much move an inch closer, the Phantom shadow stepped to her side and grabbed her with both of his arms in an attempt to jerk her away. He tried to spin her to force her attention on him, so he can finally talk sense into her for this ridiculous intuition. Once their eyes made contact, another moment of distilled stillness as they tried to breach the walls they raised between them for so long. “Cress…” he pressed once more, having used two of her nicknames in some meager attempt to get her to listen.

The two searched in each others gaze in hopes to come into a mutual understanding, but once Nitida winced and bit her lip, she shut her eyes and forcefully slipped from her brother’s grasp. Eye widening, Nichts clawed after her once more as she flew to the edge of the alley. “Cresselia!” Thereafter her form shifted to closer to her natural, swan-like appearance before she dispersed into a ray of light- broke back into the boundaries of the Overworld and now into the Luminous Realm, a faint, iridescent aura representing her as she vanished into the night- to the circus now growing with mounting apprehension and supernatural flora.

The Lord twisted back before he reached the same ray of light- just before he too broke out of the Dream Realm, and he snarled in frustration. The insolent fool…! The creature pulled and pooled back into the dark as he settled in the Shadow Realm. He saw no use for him to directly interfere in whatever the conflict may be, or at least at this time. He sighed and then divided his priorities, keeping a keen eye on the disturbance as outside reinforcement, and now… to his little stalker, who had been senselessly muttering aloud to himself not long ago. The shadows flickered some in amusement, almost as if they were greeting- now acknowledging- the perverse human before them.

Vorguns eyes widened as she explained a werewolf to him. What ever it was it sounded dangerous. He glared at the woman wondering whether or not to attack. Suddenly the little girl caught his attention. She was hopping around shouting and pointing at metal man in the suit. She said it was his fault. Vorgun immediately turn onto the man in the suit and growled “whatss your part inn all thiss? What did you do to thiss wommann?” Not waiting for a response Vorgun leapt at the man spinning his mace towards the mans chest.

`”G-god this world sucks!” Tas exclaimed, slamming her hand down with enough force to crack the concrete. “No one is running! A bunch of idiots–the whole lot of you! Now–go! ” she yelled, and that’s when she changed. It was as If she was ripped from her human body, and replaced with the massive black wolf with with of shadow. The only proof that it had eyes been her were the vines of obsidian still one her from legs and the collar that somehow fix about her.

You would call me a werewolf? I am not. I am the greatest creation of a madman, and I will destroy all of you. But you, with the genetic suppressor, you will die first.

Vorgan landed right in front of the metal man only to stop his mac right in front of the mans chest. He sensed something. Something large and angry; an anger he hadn’t felt since he went on his own rampage. He slowly turned to face the large black wolf that took the place of the woman. The beast amazed him, as it was like nothing he had seen on his home planet. He shivered slightly at the mass of the creature and whispered, “Itss huge…how do i fight that mmonnsster?” Vorgun tried to get out of the way of the massive wolf creature as it charged the metal man but couldnt move quick enough and the creature crashed into him and knocked him into the dirt.

Agent 2 was knocked not that far away remaining undamaged however he had dropped the genetic suppressor. “SHIT,” he cried when he realized that he had a new foe to deal with until he remembered he couldn’t hit any of them so he signaled to agent 5 who swooped down and helped up Vorgun.

Mike interrupted the whole debacle, “All you guys need ta calm down,” he yelled after walking in the tent and seeing what was happening he then walked over to Tas and exclaimed, “oh how wonderful this is, I mean I got The two experiments, you know who you are, as well as the beforan and even Don Patch who I thought would be really hard to find,” he then turned his back towards Tas, “don’t try killing me I won’t stay dead,” he chuckled. He then said, “if you wish to leave wait till I finish my proposition,” and after took a huge breath as if to say something big.

Agent 3 (after a while) saw the flickering shadows and sighed, “guess this is as close as I can get to contact… fair enough, ” he spoke to the shadows, “so how’s this gonna work Morse code or… look, I’ve had a long day and who knows maybe you have to so take this and I won’t bother you anymore. ” he pulled out a letter and sat down in feeble hopes of seeing this shadow lord taking it. On the letter (if read) reads
Dear, Nichts a.k.a Darkrai

we have informed of your presence in this universe and ask that you arrive at the building without windows and a target painted on (the exact address would also be on the card) we also wish to inform you that this is completely voluntary, however there may be information on the abnormalities of this universe if you come thank for your time

Sincerely, Mike.

Mirabelle ran towards Vorgan to see if he’s alright. She puts her hand on his chest and she shakes him. “Are you ok…?” One of the agents then comes over and swoops towards Vorgun to help him up. Mirabelle looks at the agent with hostility, however, turns her attention to something more important.

The flowers as they grew felt a presence, a bright illumination. What was this she felt? It didn’t matter now, she had to focus on the situation at hand. Her friend jumped off her shoulder. The man in the suit was speaking, but Mirabelle didn’t listen as she saw the genetic suppressor on the ground.

Mirabelle strikes her right hand into the dirt as something moves underground towards her. White fibers erupt from the ground and surround Mirabelle’s arm. Her skin literally dissolve into steam and exposes her pink muscle, then the fiber surround her arm and latch to it, her right arm now a large appendage of white silk muscle. She stands up and out of the ground with it is a 2 ft long, dull yellow blade.

The appendage shaped itself into a muscular arm with a blade at the end instead of a hand. It was limp for a moment and Mirabelle could not move it. Then electricity sparked through it, and it pulsed for a moment, tensing, thorn like spines shooting piercing out her arms. Her arm relaxed, and the spines retracted back into the arm.

Mirabelle looked at her friend, as he wrapped his tail around the suppressor and started running back towards her. She didn’t let anyone jump to the rat while he scurried, the appendaged then stretched and shot forward, stretching some 30 feet to get to the rat as the blade pierced the ground, and the rat jumped onto to her arm. The rats feet were stuck to the arm like glue as the arm retracted back towards Mirabelle. In her normal hand she held the suppressor and held it reverse grip with the needle readied in her hand. “Two experiments!” She heard as she looked up at the man, listening to the rest of what she had to say.

Mirabelle held the genetic suppressor in her left hand and, standing defensively in front of Vorgun. Her weaponized right arm in front of her. Looking between the two, the black wolf and the man about to speak. The right arm extending spikes….which begin to dissolve and change some shape on the spot, emiting steam. The thorns are now a line of serrated blades on her right appendage, the blade at the end waving on her arm, looking like it’s about the shoot out at any moment, if it has to. If the wolf tries to bite her, she can block it with her right and it’s own biting would cause the blades on her arm to stab it in the mouth. However, she waited patiently. Maybe this man could calm the wolf down. Or maybe not. She didn’t know. Behind her determined eyes, was a fear, a hesitation….but she had to be ready. The wolf could lunge her at any time….

After a few minutes, the thunder storm had passed, and two cars had been toppled over…
Seriously father… this place is not your playground… find some other place to show me your anger!, Geminorum thought in her head.

Time to get to work.”, she whispered to herself.

Please hear me out when I say thins spirits of this planet, but i am in need of your help… there is a man who I need to find, he has eyes as red as an apple, and smells of flowers.. Please help me find him.“, Geminorum whispered to the ghosts around her… for to Geminorum, ghosts were everywhere.. and she could see them… haunting, imitating, sulking… Everything was there for Geminorum to see.

A slight wind passed by, and Geminorum knew she had succeeded in taking over the ghosts.

The shadows undulated around the man, curiouser and curiouser as he looked fatigued, worn from chasing the dark- literally- all day and into the night. They stirred as if in laughter as he began to speak, swaying side to side like the manifested waves of a kitten, and then he produced and offered a letter and an attached card. They settled as they peered over the contents without so much of a disturbance, but then all too suddenly halted, tendrils of black mass reaching out like water only to freeze like spikes of ice. The addressing line alone unsettled them, more so than the actual contents, and in an instant they were on the letter and dispersed like scattering haze or droplets of water, falling back into the matter and lay still, unmoving, cold.

Just a bit away deeper in the alley was a trashy garbage disposal, and at the very edge of the agent’s vision sat a figure, leaning over with his arms over his chest. He was a young man with wispy white hair, his gaze downcast and posture still. He wore a simple crimson red shirt and a black tattered hoodie, white designer slashes at the mid-torso like claw marks. His legs were crossed with simple fitted black pants and boots that reached up to his knees. He had black high-polarized shades with him but they simply lay at the base of his nose, his eyes were cast in shadow by his swept bangs. An intriguing, enigmatic character, but there was an eerie air to him that brought shivers to normal mortals; after all, it was just a casual semblance of a guise.

The Lord of Shadows smirked almost devilishly as he looked up, his azure eye gleaming. “Huh, how interesting for the natives to… know their, ah, guest of honor.” He tilted his head to the side then, his hair trailing over his face at the movement. “Mutually long day aside…” his eye glinted a dangerous cyan once more as he twinged slightly and continued, “the night has now fallen, and thus it is my territory. You ought to know that much if you knew of my identity, yeah?”

His eye drooped as he held out a hand, snapped, then produced the very letter the agent intended to give to him, his gaze almost piercing now. “So the little messenger bird traveled all around the city looking to meet with the Phantom.” Nichts rested his free arm on his lap and propped his head as he leaned a touch closer, looking straight at the man over the brim of his shades. “We can make this either a quick night or a long night,” and there were some dangerous undertones at that, “so if you want to talk, talk.”

=====

The bright shimmer, once she arrived at the circus, encountered this- literal- fortified wall of flowers that it left room to impress even her. She lofted over the barricade, particles gently brushing past the top as she looked over the scene. It appeared to be some conflict of sorts, consisting of an… interesting array of characters- true to her brother’s claim. Wielding a mace was gray-toned humanoid man with brightly orange horns, having a suspicion that he too was possibly not of this iteration of this planet. There were two a men- one that was clad in literal full body steel- among them that called attention and she felt a tinge of apprehension, similar to how she felt when she encountered the one that was following Nichts.

A bit of a ways away stood a determined little girl clasping a sort of medication syringe, but appearance alone seemed to neglect her true capabilities. It interested and fascinated her to realize that she was the one responsible for this barricaded wall of flora, that she was able to twist and manipulate her arm freely and willingly so.

A large, almost feral wolf were among the gathered, dark and cast with shadow, and she felt a sharp and shivering sting as she tried to assess the creature. If she were to guess the others were attempted to settle the beast; and she was almost positive this was the catalyst for the strong disturbance, as she could feel the distortion even from her current plane.

The Curator turned and looked up into the night sky, wanting to see for herself what current stage the lunar cycle was in this dimension. Behind the cover of the clouds was a half moon, the designated time of neutrality between her and her brother, and if the conventional cycle were the same, it was a waxing moon- her prioritized favor.

The Seraph smiled softly, then floated overhead the gathered and melded with the moonlight that cast. The short rays and glimpses then expanded to illumine the whole field, providing a soothing cool as she nurtured them. She then gently alighted closer to the ground, still appearing like a bright, iridescent illumination in the Overworld. She twirled elegantly as the light now suggested her silhouette, her form, as she gathered energy to lend a hand in easing and settling the situation.
