Public Group
Group Description
An unlikely group for any superpowered individual. These are the heroes that want to do justice to all innocents, but haven’t been able to do that. This is the place for any superhero, no matter what power you have, or lack of them. Anybody who has the desire to save innocent people has a spot in this group. (The actual RP is in the forum. Please Rp there because it’s disorganized atm and I’m gonna go insane. Use the forum called Real RP because I don’t know how to get rid of other forums.)

-I almost fall into the water from limping but I keep myself up- “Crap..” -I whisper to myself then when I reach the middle of the pond I sit down and create a thin ice orb around me.- (When I say thin that means you can also see through it just incase you didn’t know.)

Heckie took a seat at the kitchen table and opened his laptop.
“Yeah,” he said into his phone. “It’s free.”
A paper on correct usage of peremptory challenge. How was he supposed to write a full research paper on that?
“No, no strings attached. They’re just some weirdos who have a house for some reason.”
He could probably get some mileage out of the discussion of traits that don’t disqualify a juror, but make them a poor choice to support your candidate.
“No, no, nothing like that. No it’s not a brothel!”
Honestly, this paper would seem a lot easier to stretch out if the core concepts didn’t feel like second nature to him. All the Saranac wouldn’t cure that.
“Yeah, no, just some ordinary folks who own a house. Not sure how they can afford a house but right now I don’t have a fat enough wallet to ask questions.”
Depending on state law, you get a limited number of peremptory challenges. No reason asked, no reason given, juror is replaced.
“Yeah, no, trust me, this isn’t going to interfere with our get-togethers.”
You should use these sparingly, because they’re valuable and you don’t have many.
“I appreciate it, Gears.”
Mr. Blair, can you name a reason you, as a defendant, might want to use a peremptory challenge?
Er.. The juror is… Ah… From a different demographic, and a same-demographic juror would better sympathize with your client?
He pocketed his phone, and finished his mug of coffee. This paper was most definitely not going to write itself.

-I drop brake the ice orb around me and I stand up then walk back home-

Heck looked up from his laptop as Dakota entered the building. “Hey, Fluff,” he said. “You’re not looking too good. When was the last time you slept?”
This statement also functioned as a summary of why Heckie shouldn’t have been allowed to speak to anyone.
Ever.

((She is a ghost until someone tells me not to.))
Jackie had been floating for some time, gaping in wonder at the swirls of light that broke up the darkness she had grown accustomed to. She could tell that the lights were people, but to be able to see, she was ecstatic.
Some of the lights seemed to be moving more than others, and some seemed to be floating along as she was. One of the floating ones turned towards her and she felt warmth coming off of them, as though they were offering a silent greeting. She gave the being a smile and then they parted ways.
The rest of her adventure seemed uneventful, with some beings greeting her but most just sticking to their own paths. She began to find it strange that she didn’t feel tired or hungry, and that she didn’t seem to be waking up from what she assumed was a dream.
She started trying to wake herself by pinching, shouting, moving too quickly, but nothing seemed to work. Jackie remained in her world of colors amidst dark and curled into herself.
She must be among the dead now.
Jackie cried loudly for herself, mourning the life that was taking from her. Never again would she ride her bike or play the violin. She wouldn’t see her parents or brother, or eat another birthday cake. Sobs wracked her body, shaking her.
So distraught was she, the girl didn’t even notice the damage she was doing to the space around her. Trees were uprooted and flung around, smashing into cars and buildings. The living and the dead rushed for cover from the child who could become a poltergeist.
But just as quickly as it had started, it stopped, leaving the street a mess and the people who had been around thankful that they hadn’t been killed. Jackie just let more tears fall and hiccuped before floating away from the destruction. She flew until there were no lights around her and she was totally alone. All she could sense were trees and animals, so she floated to the forest floor and sat.

Jackie started, not having noticed the other’s approach. She relaxed after a moment and turned in the direction of the other girl, though the light that meant she was human was… off, somehow. She wasn’t sure what to make of the person beside her. Jackie pushed the thought aside and answered. “I’m Jackie,” she said, her eyes still staring blankly ahead of her.

Bones keeps his head down on the way back, he avoids people, when he gets there he plops down on the couch

*Nova smiled at the response then relayed to her”Why are you in the forest Jackie?”.
-
“I wanted to be alone.” She let her chin fall to her knees and breathed a sigh, shaking her head at how strange the action was without her actually breathing. Her bare feet dug into the soil around them, though she could barely feel it, as though they were just passing through the earth. She supposed they were.
