Into The Woods (Chapter 1.2)
-
*Liv shielded Abilard again from the ceiling, when it stopped cracking she looked up at Orsin*
-
“Fine” His voice molded into a more wolfish tone as he changed, and lunged through the portal as it was no thinner than it was the last time they exited. Here, he could smell smoke and water and a bunch of other things that did not belong. Fang shook his head furiously, letting out a low howl.
~~
The woman threw her hands out, “This measure of damage will surely be noticed, and while this school is forgiving they do not tolerate breaking their only laws…Suspension will be given to you…you will never see this school again, perhaps miss the chance to bond with your precious little devils!” She hissed, her voice sounding raspy and desperate. “We are your only chance!”
Piper snatched at Lonan likewise to Liv with Abilard, and he growled at her antics but changed into a smaller form of a cat size for her to hold in her arms like a child. “What do we do?” She shouted over the crumbling of the ceiling. “Do we make a deal or get suspended?”
-
“Cant we just kill her?” Liv asked curiously.(lol she doesn’t wanna decide XD)
-
Orsin spoke up, “Well, in my opinion, why don’t you GO FIND IT YOUR FUCKING SELF LAZY ASS!” Orsin growled loudly, “That’s all. You’ll find it better.”
-
“Kill us?” The woman laughed loudly, “But we are already dead…perhaps you have heard, of what this cellar was once used for…”
Piper’s eyes widened. “It was used for captured witch hunters from the salem witch trial days…Oh my god, you’re a ghos-” The woman pushed back the sleeves to the gray dress she was wearing, promptly ignoring Orsin to reveal long scars along her arms dark and infectious. “These scars were given to us by your demonic kind, given to us in this very room you stand in of dried blood.” The “rusted floor” flaked away copperly at their feet, swirling around in the water. “We are humans. Humans that are dead! Humans that are trapped here so we are unable to get the device ourselves.” She shot a cold glare at Orsin, which could have stopped a bird in the middle of its morning song.
-
Orsin looked at her and make a grossed out face, “No figure.” he giggled at his own joke, “Sorry.” he coughed, “You may continue.”
-
Rea yipped thankfully and jumped through the barrier. She immediately hunkered down, folding her ears flat against her skull. She let out a growl and ran up close to Fang, answering his howl with a low song of her own.
We leave the saftey
of our resting halls,
Shall we forward?
Or will we fall?
Back, back, back
or to the dark? -
“Well, we didn’t do it ta ye,” She frowned, Abilard made a series of coughes. He had dropped the bottle with mandrake root stuff in it on Liv’s lap. Liv’s clothes and hair was smudged with scoot and dust from the ceiling and the fire that had been up. She had little burns and a cut on her cheek, she started to feel the sting of them.
-
She flicked her hair, gazing at Liv. “Look at us.“ She demanded, her eyes fiery though dark, “Look at our suffering. The pain you’ve caused us.” The plague wiping through Scotland and Ireland back in those times, women children and hard working men losing their strength and smiles…the sicknesses that made the light go out of loved ones eyes, and a witch on a stake hexing everyone who she could remember the name of. Then, hope, then hope for society as came about the witch hunters–the hunter of witches. However, as far as the hunters took out these witches the witches uprised to smite out the hunters like bugs. The hunters became the hunted, and with that an uneasy truce came between witches and humans and unbearable grudge blocking the two races from seeing eye-to eye.
Piper frowned as well, and shook her head. “This is my fault. If I hadn’t wanted to go to those woods so badly..” Tears of frustration beaded around her eyes as she pressed Lonan to her. The small dragon began whispering to her, and she sniffled a bit, calming down. “Let’s just leave. I’ll explain something to Ms. Vine later…” She looked around the wreckage having that feeling deep within her stomach of dread. You know, when you got in trouble in school and had to wait the whole day before you got home to see what your parents were going to punish you with? That feeling. “Orsin! Can you help us up?”
~~
To the darkness we go, then we will not hesitate or look backThe barrier, where we were meant to be, may be boring but its safe indeed
He let a low howl back to her, her decision, Fang personally preferred to keep her in a place where he could protect her better…but…who was he to lock her up in a tower away from the world?
(Ok I’m not a poet so don’t judge Fang’s poetic thing. <-<)
-
*Liv got up and held the bottle, she stuffed it as far in her pocket as possible. She stared at the dead ghost woman thing before looking around for a way out, she held Abilard close to her. He kept coughing though*”Ye can farget aboot the deal makin,” Liv said quietly.
-
Rea nodded and padded into the dark. Something pulled her there. She needed to see what had caused so many smells.
-
Fang moved alongside her, his hair standing on end naturally at the thought of someone harming her, his temporary pack member, he frowned as his paw landed in something wet. He shook his paw a bit, letting a low distinctive noise of curiosity.
-
*Liv looked around, it was very very late so their was no outside light to look for. Abilard seemed to be sick from all the dust getting in his nose, He wasn’t muttering like usual, just coughing and sneezing. Liv held him nervously, she walked up to a wall and cautiously extended a hand to it. She ran it along to try and find a way out, she didn’t care about the consequences they may face when they get out she wanted Abilard to be ok*
-
Rea shook herself and trotted forward. She began smelling human, and her hackles rose. Her teeth glinted in the low light of flickering flames as she saw them, and something else, leading to pull her lips back in a snarl.
-
*Abilard Coughed*”So-some…ting…dere,” He looked out into the darkness in the general Direction of the wolves, Liv didn’t notice so continued her wall scanning with her hand.
