This is a stage in a witch and wizard’s life where they come to a decision of not only what course they want to take in magic, but also discovering familiar that will choose to bond with you depending on your choice of course. I hope you all find the familiar best suited to you.
Into The Woods (Chapter 1.2)
-
“Its magic, in a sense.” She smiled wistfully. “Not tampered with by witches, no, just a normal but ancient magic left to us by mother nature herself. There was magic in this world before witches, you know,”
-
She yawned again. “Tell me more about that….” she said, beginning to drift off again, her breathing slow and relaxed.
-
“Ah…dere ain’t much ta say, lass, just that those flowers are magic in dere own sense.” She shrugged, “Soothin’ properties and brings ta smiles with dere beauty gifted ta dem by nature.”
-
By the end of her sentence, Rea was out, sleeping with her paws neatly tucked under her head.
-
“And it twould seem she fell asleep.” The woman shook her head, and tossed a thinner blanket on top of the wolf. She reached up to caress the petals of a fresh bud, her voice thoughtful, “it twould seem dis year is gonna be much more interestin’ then any of us thought…”
-
Hours later, well into the next day, Rea awoke, her human body clothed in grey shorts and a black tank top. “Man, I lost my clothes again!” she complained, trying to untangle herself from the blanket.
-
She walked out and down the halls to her room, grabbing her toothbrush and beginning to brush her teeth. She looked in her bathroom mirror and noticed heavy circles under her eyes. “Oh yeah, I look great.” she muttered to herself sarcastically.
-
“Pardon me all students,” The announcement echoed through the school. “The left wing’s lower floor has been destroyed to the point of no quick repair. This means, of course, that the left lower wing to a certain point is off-limits and have wards posted around the damaged floor to keep nosy students out of harm’s way. Please note that classrooms F-3 to F-12 are off-limits as well, and your new places for learning these principles are posted in the lounge. Some of you may be outside, others will have to take turns of using new rooms until we are able to fix the problems caused. Other than that, please continue your normal day without delay. Breakfast specials today is a fruit salad and bacon wrapped bagel with cream cheese. That is all. Thank you.” Ms. Vine’s voice sounded especially cross and exasperated–a tone almost never taken with her students until now.
It awoke Piper with a twinge of guilt, and she rubbed her eyes. “Wow…Never heard Ms. Vine sound that way.” She said rather quietly, almost to herself.
-
“were gangin(goin) ta die…” Liv muttered and hung her head.
-
Rea looked up at the ceiling. “I can’t help but feel like that’s some bit my fault…” she got herself dressed and walked down the hall to Ms. Vine’s office. “Ms. Vine?” she called softly, knocking on the door.
-
“Yes?” The door was answered by Ms. Vine herself, with rumpled clothes she’d worn the night before and her blond hair usually tightly pinned up fell down her shoulder messily. In a strange way she looked a bit younger. “Oh, Rea.” She took off her glasses swiftly to rub her eyes. “Yes, yes, come right in. I’m glad to see you recovered well from the venom. I’m actually quite glad to see you, maybe you can clear up what happened last night.” She gestured over to her desk that was a mess of papers.
Piper sighed, “I know…We’re so dead. Especially because that ghost is out here on the loose…and I don’t think its too happy with us.” She ran a hand through her hair, smiling a bit sadly. “I’m sorry, Liv, how are you feeling?” She stood up to move over toward the blond girl leaving her dark familiar curled up in her bed to stir a bit.
-
Goldmyth laid on her bed, facing the wall, wearing the same clothes, hadn’t eaten, hadn’t gotten up. Just was there. Her breathing was deep and slow.
-
Piper looked over to Goldmyth, and remembered Orsin with a jolt and looked back over to her own familiar who was rousing quietly with a yawn, “Goldmyth, was it?” He stretched out fully, leaping to fly and join his partner’s shoulder. Piper cleared her throat, “Goldmyth? You awake?” She touched the girl’s shoulder carefully.
-
“A’m okie, besides this battle scar,” She chuckled a little trying to make the mood a little better and pointed at the bandaid on her cheek that would leave a thin scar when it healed. “AY! wat if weh caught the cac! (annoyance; the ghost lady :3) weh might nut get expelled if weh get it contained again!” She said standing up and smiled confidently.
*Abilard groaned in his little bed in his dorm and rolled around trying to go back to sleep. not wanting to face the world*
