Welcome To The School Of Bonding! (Chapter 1)
-
Ms. Vine stood up, Genie hanging on her shoulder. “Don’t worry, do you have your acceptance letter? It is not uncommon for students to come in a few days late, dear. No worries.” She held out a hand for his letter. “Currently the students are getting breakfast, so you are not missing anything important.” She tilted her head, noticing how he didn’t look at her. That was the sad thing, really, when students came in feeling isolated and alienated. Some came from the human world where humans were cruel and skeptical of anything that was different or odd. But that was okay. She and her staff would assist them all.
-
“Hey! Did you eat already? Nice outfit by the way.” She grinned, joining Goldmyth’s pace toward Liv.
-
*Liv went up to the line and got a orange juice and two beagles before going back to piper and seeing goldmyth. She sat down next to her room mates*”naw meat,” She sighed.
-
“Oh thanks. It’s just uniform though. And yes, I did eat, not the best breakfast I had.” Goldmyth popped a pebble in her mouth, the rick squished in between her teeth like a gummy bear.
-
“There’s cold-cuts over there,” She pointed over to a small crowd of students–some wearing uniforms to sweatpants. “The line’s not too bad.” She took a bite of her bagel sandwich happily. “So who do you suppose your familiar might be?” She examined the crowd, students mixed with familiars dreamily. There were foxes, peacocks, snakes, even dragons. She couldn’t help but notice the panther that sulked in the corner shadows, and elbowed Liv. “There, in the shadows…it’s the panther from last night. Should we apologize?”
-
Ace searched his pockets for the acceptance letter then soon realizing that he only had the picture of the school and that the rest of the letter was back on his bed at home and he broke down sobbing and fell to his knees “I’m so sorry I left it at home I’m so stupid I’m sorry please don’t beat me” he says backing himself into a corner and shaking in fear.
-
Ms. Vine’s red lips went into an ‘o’ of surprise. “Oh, dear, it’s fine. Com here.” She held out her hand as if talking to a younger distraught child, a small smile coming to her face. “It’s okay. No one’s going to hurt you here. This is a chance for you to start anew, a place where harm won’t come.” She knew her words were nearly meanigless to him most likely, but the friendships that bloomed here wouldn’t be. “You will make friends! Not only a familiar, but witches and warlocks like you.” Genie climbed down from her partner’s shoulder to hop onto the boy’s knee and look up at him. “You’re okay.” She soothed, rubbing his back.Â
-
“I wasnt’ with you last night, so I don’t really know. What did you do to him?” Goldmyth smiles and popps another rock in her mouth
-
“Uh, aye,” Liv nodded and stood up.

*Aaron was half way done with his rack of ribs*
-
“We sort of threatened him.” She said sheepishly with a smile. “Well, we didn’t know he was a familiar, we thought he was one of the monsters of the forest….“
Amanda moved behind them, her lips thin as she examined the back of their head strictly. “What’s this about the forest? You’re still on that?”
Piper jumped back a few steps, gritting her teeth as she whirled. “Oh. Amanda.”
Amanda ruled her eyes, and her toucan fluttered his wings. “You better stay out of that forest,” He chided and Amanda nodded with a scolding look. “A girl, a trouble maker like you three was here last year. She went into that forest because she thought it would make her school-famous. Instead, she went missing after her Nighmarian Unicorn was heard screaming. The next morning they found his horn, covered in blood…” A smile seemed to flash across her face for a moment, but it disappeared. “So stay out of there, unless you want to be Stephanie Blanc.” Then she sashayed away, her thoughts of herself being higher up clear in her movements.
-
“Y-you know what I am and you dont hate me for it?” Ace said then seeing the monkey he smiled and stood still not making eye contact out of instinct and said “so what am I supposed to do now?” and then his stomach growled really loudly.
-
“Ifreann na fola!? Pó mo thón A’m naet (not) belivin it… maybe,” She muttered when Amanda was a safe distance away, she lit her hand on fire and toasted her beagle before biting into it.
-
“Why would I hate you for something we both are?”  She smiled, standing up to head over to a scroll. It acted as a touch pad as she scrolled through the names, “Now, what is your name?”Â
Genie, hearing his stomach growled leaped onto the desk and dug out a power bar to bring over to him. “This should settle you until breakfast which is open until noon when lunch starts.”
~~~
Piper glared after Amanda’s retreating figure, unconsciously hugging into Liv and Gold’s side. “She bothers me so much…but that’s weird. You really think some girl actually went missing in there?” Her eyes sharpened and she straightened up. “I don’t believe it either…what if Amanda’s just trying to scare us off from something she’s keeping in there?” Her eyebrows raised at the thought. “Oh, the conspiracy!”
