Group Description
Wanteds are the outcasts of society. Given the term “Wanteds” to show the government was after them, these Wanteds are hunted down because of their abilities. Whispers of witchcraft run through the streets where these Wanteds reside. You don’t rat on someone in the streets. Never tell a fed you’ve met a Wanted. You’ll be taken away. Your death will be slow at the hands of the government. Wanteds are cast away by society to save their own lives; thus possibly sacrificing a Wanted in the process. In a cruel world with an even crueler government, no Wanted is safe. Ever. Alliances will be made, friendships will be tested, loyalty will be questioned, and more victims shall fall to the shadows of death, here on the streets of Sauport, where the wanteds reside.

Markie sits on a bench in the cold and looks around, his breath can be seen and he cracks his fingers, “Watch out for the people in white siuts, they are here, they are here, they are here to take you. Blood drips on the ground, cold cement, the world is cruel, the world hates you.” Markie sings under his breath. This was daily. Markie sat on a bench and waited, and waited, and waited for some one to come up to him and talk to him. Markie sat, and sat, and waited.
-
Tessa looks down at her feet, pieces of white, freezing snow tangling themselves in her brown hair. She was moving at a brisk pace, whisps of black smoke seemingly following her. Her hand was slipped inside her coat, clutching onto a package for dear life. It was the last package she had to deliver for the day, probably drugs. It didn’t matter what was in the package; delivering the package was what mattered. The receiver was exactly where he was supposed to be. Trading off the package, she stashed the ration cards she received for the run and collapsed on the bench next to Markie, hoping she’d thrown those feds off her tail. Whether they were after her as a Wanted or as a smuggler, she wasn’t sure.
-
Markie let his hair fall over his eyes, “It’s quite cold today..” Markie smiled and sighed under his breath. Markie took something out of his pocket, a bright blue flower. Flowers were rare, and to find one at this time of year, was like finding gold. “Would you like it?” Markie held out the flower to the girl, he put up his hood and looked at her.
-
“It is.” Tessa answers, not bothering to turn. She had her father’s coat like always, and a scarf she’d gotten from the market. Her curls blew around her face briskly, dotted with white and damp from the snow.
-
“Take it, the flower means good luck.” Markie held the bright flower up to her face.
-
“Thank you.” She says softly, holding the small flower deftly between her pale fingers, letting the bright blue petals lay in her palm. The small shadows were pooling under her boots, creeping around her legs. Unwinding the scarf from her neck, she laid it across his lap gently. “You’re much smaller than me. I don’t need it,” she explains quietly. She didn’t see much children around here anymore. “You shouldn’t be in Sauport all alone.”
-
“Heh..I’m alright. Don’t worry about me.” Markie looks at the flower, it freezes. Markie looks up at her and winks.
-
“Excuse me a moment.” Tessa narrows her eyes, standing up and dragging Markie with her to a momentarily empty side alley. “You realize what you just did could’ve gotten you killed, Wanted?” She says coolly, face devoid of emotion.
-
Markie smiles and builds ice around a wall, “Brave enough to do that?”
-
“Stop.” Tessa snaps, letting go of his wrist and kicking roughly at the shadows detaching themselves from corners to pool at her feet. “You’re going to get yourself killed for being a Wanted, and me killed for assisting a Wanted. I’d rather keep the both of us alive.”
-
Markie rasies an eyebrow, “It’s okay. I know what will happen, they never see me. I’ve been doing this for a long time..” Markie smiles and sneezes.
-
“You can’t be any older than eleven.” She hisses quietly, shaking her head. “I’ve been doing this for over 17 years, and I’ve had a number of close calls. You cannot act as if the threat of death isn’t there.” She raises a thin eyebrow, looking down at Markie. “You are very brave, I admit. But acts such as that shall end you up in a grave, boy.”
-
Markie sneezed, “What’s the point of life?” Markie tapped his foot, “Simple but hard. I know the answer, but clearly, you do not.”
-
“My purpose of living is to find my mother’s killer and to end violent crimes of his sort.” Tessa says almost automatically, her face taking on a blank quality before it wears off. “Do not act condescending with me, child.”
-
“CHID!?” Ice shards came out of the ground and almost got Tessa, “I’m not a child. I’m a human being and I might be young but, I’m a boy and a boy with a life where he doesn’t follow the goverment. The reason they haven’t came to me is because I am strong and they go after you because you are weak. You follow the rules like everyone else. They’ll come to you.” Markie screams and leaves the ice shards melt.
