Cobalt looks up at him from the ground smirking again. “Will you bring me a snack?”
-
“Eh? Sure, what do you want?” Okarin turns back to look at Cobalt, digging through the pockets of his lab coat, finding enough loose change to probably be able to buy something from a vending machine.
-
Cobalt stands and walks over to him still smirking and once by him he leans over and whispers in his ear. “You” starts to giggle and laugh as soon as he says it.
-
Okarin manages to force a small laugh, he steps away a little, “Ah, sorry buddy, that’s not really something I can do right now.”
-
Cobalt tilts his head, “Why not? You asked what I wanted and that is it.” steps around him so he was in front of the door.
-
Okarin sighs, trained smile still on his face. He reaches deep into his pocket, touching a different syringe, one filled with sedative that all hospital staff are required to carry whenever in the wing with the unstable patients, however he was reluctant to use it. “Do you mind moving a little? There’s other patients I need to attend to.”
-
“Not till I get what I asked for.” Cobalt giggles his eyes wide with insanity.
-
His smile falters, “Sorry about this… But I really do have more work to do…” He murmurs. With one quick movement of his arm, Okarin pushes Cobalt’s head to the side and injects the contents of the syringe into his neck.
-
Cobalt his eyes widen and he staggers, “You f*ck*ing b*st*rd.” Takes a staggering step towards Okarin before he slumps against him.
-
Okarin pockets the serine again, then lays Cobalt on the ground as comfortably as possible, although being the weakling he was he couldn’t carry him properly to his bed. “…Sorry buddy.” He sighs, smile vanishing completely from his face as he makes a note of his actions on his clipboard and reading over his next case, “…Akio…” He whispers under his breath. He tucks the clipboard under his arm, refilling the needle with sedative as he walks down the dark hallway, shortly reaching the next room he was assigned to.

Akio had been resting on his bed for hours on end, the light in his room had gone out earlier that day, none of the nurses wanted to spend too much time in his room, so no one was bothered to fix it. The only light that came into his room was from the small window that let just a bit of moonlight into his room, enough for the naked eye to see. Akin had heard the foot steps outside of his room. He stays perfectly still.
-
Okarin knocks on the door, then waits a few seconds before walking in as not to startle Akio. “Hey, you asleep? Sorry to disturb you.”
-
Akio rolls over to look at Okarin, most of his hair falls to the floor. He smiles. “No, not at all, actually. You know,” he hangs his head off of the bed. “I was just pondering about you, I was waiting for an excruciating time for just someone, just someone, to come and visit me. Glad you came.”
-
Okarin dispenses one of his smiles reserved for patients, “Ah, well that’s good.” He looks up to the ceiling, “Did the bulbs die?” He makes a note on the clipboard, “I’ll get someone to fix it tomorrow.” He crouches down a little to be on the same level as Akio, “Anyway, how’ve you been doing lately?”
-
Akio glances at Okarin and closes his eyes. “Awful…” he pauses, taking in a deep breath and exhaling. “I rarely get anyone to visit me, like the nurses. They used to come every other hour, but now they only come around twice a day.” he opens his eyes, looking down. “I miss seeing people.” Akio takes his hand and strokes Okarin’s cheek. “At least you’re here.”
