Okarin manages a chuckle, “Yeah, I guess so.” He moves just a little bit and glances down at his chart, “…lets see here…” He skims the information then reaches into the pouch with his medicine, “You ready to take your meds?”
-
“No.” he grins, sitting up and stretching. He was only wearing cloth shorts and a baggy t-shirt. “You’ll have to catch me first~!” he stands up, twisting around. “And then I’ll take my medication.” he slides across the floor on his socks.
-
Okarin lets out a laugh, but subtly goes to the door and double-checks that it was locked, “Alright!” He begins to run after Akio, at first giving chase intentionally, but when he tried he still struggled to catch him, being as tired and out of shape as he was. Eventually he managed to catch Akio by the arm, “Ah… I got you…” He panted, already out of breath from such a short run.
-
Akio stops when Okarin holds his arm. “Aw, I lost.” he looks at Okarin’s arm. “You’re holding me! How sweet of you!” he twists  Okarin around. “We should dance away in the little moon light we have, acting as if it was the last night of our lives!”Akio stands in the moonlight, his ice-blue eyes stood out against his black hair that fell over his face slightly. “I hope you have a wife so we can make this a teensy-weensy scandalous!”

He laughs a little, “I don’t think you’d want to do something like that with me, I’m not really the romantic type.” Okarin says, maintaining his professional attitude, despite not having been trained for the event of a patient coming onto him.
-
“That’s too bad.” Akio turns away from him, tugging his arm out of Okarin’s grasp. He reaches up and his pointer finger just barely touches the window. “I’d like to go outside one day. That would be nice. Maybe right when the sun rises, during winter. That’s when eveything is still, and there’s no noise.” he walks back to his bed sitting down. “That’s why I enjoy staying up all night, when it’s quiet, so I can enjoy the silence. And once I hear noise, I fall asleep. So I can ignore the noise. The talking. The empty screams from patients.” Akio laughs a bit. “I hope I can leave this place soon…”
-
Okarin nods understandingly, “I’m sure everyone here wants to leave.” he runs his hand through his hair, “I barely get to go out myself, haven’t left this place for over a week.” he sighs tiredly, in the pale moonlight his gaunt paleneness, almost skeletal thinness and the dark bruse-like circles under his eyes seemed apparent. Okarin kneels down in front of the bed, pulling a couple pills out of his medicine bag, “But during the day if you want you might be able to go in the yard for a while, and Ill continue to work hard so someday you’ll be discharged.”
-
Akio scans him. “I want to make sure you get sleep, okay?” he smiles, pulling his long hair back. “I enjoy your visits. You’re a good man, Doctor Okarin.” he leans forward, a little too close to Okarin’s face. He opens his mouth, his oddly white teeth gleam. He points to the pills and then his tongue.
-
Okarin nods “You don’t have to call me doctor” he says, putting the pills in Akio’s mouth, “it feels kinda weird.” he punctuates his sentence with a small smile.
-
Akio takes a moment to swallow the pills. He pulls his head back, sitting up straight. “Anything for you!” he beams. “You should be on your way now. I’m sure you have some other patients to take care of. You should know that I’ll miss you.” Akio nearly whimpers. “Carry on now,” he shoos Okarin with his hand. “Before I start crying. And that’s not something you’d want to see.” he lifts his legs up, putting them on the bed. He lays down, covering his eyes with the back of his hand.
-
“Alright…” Okarin says, scribbling a couple more notes on his clipboard then turning to leave the room. At the doorway, he hesitates for a moment, “…I’ll more than likely be back tomorrow.” He walked to his office, pouring some old coffee into his empty mug, then sat at his desk, taking half of his coffee in one gulp them turned his attention to his notes, writing in scribbily handwriting on other papers until eventually he passes out at his desk around the time the sun came up.
-
Akio waves good-bye to Okiran. He lays in bed, staring at the ceiling. He soon drifts off to sleep.
-
Mary is the first nurse to arrive at the ward, as usual. After cheerfully greeting the receptionist, she heads into the locker room to change into her uniform. Now ready for work, she makes her way to Okarin’s office to see if there is anything he needs done. She opens the door and says “Good morning Mr.Ari-” she cuts herself off as she sees that he’s asleep, “Oh, you’re asleep.. again.” She giggles a little as she walks toward him, “Wake up, sleepy head.” she says as she gently shakes him awake.
-
Okarin picks his head up off of the desk, running his hand through his hair, pushing it off of his face, “…Ah, Mary…” He murmurs, looking into his coffee mug from last night and drinking the last few drops of it then he leans back in his chair, pushing two sheets of paper towards Mary, “I want to organize a group session, do you mind getting one of these people and bringing him to room 3-108?”
-
Mary picks up the papers and quickly skims them,”Hmm… my choice?” she contemplates, narrowing her eyes in consideration, “I choose Cobalt,” She lays Akio’s paper back down on the desk, “He seems more… interesting!” She says as she back up at Okarin, smiling slightly.
