Okarin nods, “Yeah, I can understand that, but if this goes well then I’m sure this’ll happen more often. I can probably pull some strings to let you out more.”
-
Mary looks back at Cobalt, “Come on, Cobalt. I really am sorry that I cant help you but you agreed to this, you’ll still get that steak dinner you want.”
-
“That’d be lovely, really!” Akio puts his leg down. “This building is bigger than I though.” he takes a moment to look around. “I wonder if we’ll bump into anyone…” he leans on the wall.
-
Cobalt looks to her blankly before he uses his shoulders to push himself off the wall and starts walking again.
-
Mary turns back around and starts to walk up the stairs.
-
Okarin shrugs, “probrably not this early, most of the nurses should be in some of the other wings.” He pulls up his sleeve and checks the watch on the front of his wrist, “…probrably the addiction or suicide wards by my guess.” He looks back at Akio, “this place is pretty massive, 4 wings and 6 floors, not including pathology in the basement.” He explains, taking out an old cast-iron key ring from his pocket and unlocking a door, it seemed to be an office space. Covered in a thick layer of dust, it seemed not to have been used for a long time. Inside, there were a few chairs laying around haphazardly.
-
Akio steps gracefully into the room, he goes on his tip-toes and spins around a bit. “I’m surprised you just told a patient what the whole building looks like.” Akio runs his fingers across the wall. “Do you trust me, perhaps?” he asks softly.

Mary glances back at cobalt, “Quit being such a baby!” She says while climbing the stairs, “This is a short walk and you’re getting a nice steak dinner out of it too, the least you can do is be more positive.”
-
Okarin shrugs, “I don’t think there’s any harm in telling you, you live here too, right?” He says, taking a seat on one of the chairs, disturbing some of the dust as he does, “Anyway, its pretty boring. Just white hallways and rooms.” He explains, leaning back and crossing his legs, “You’ve seen the gist of it walking through here. The only other interesting place is to me pathology, but I doubt you’d like it.”
-
Akio nods as Okarin talks. He walks to the middle of the room and sits down, stretching out his legs. He holds himself, look over at Okarin. “Doctor…?” he says softly. “Will you be my friend?”
-
Okarin looks down to his hands, interlocking his fingers in his lap. “Ah…” He pauses for a second, thinking about what to say, “…Well… I’ll try, although I cant let it interfere with my job in any way.”
-
Akio stands up, walking over to Okarin. He slightly bends over so his hair falls on Okarin’s lap, he shakes his head. “I promise, it will never, ever, ever interfere with your job in any way shape or form.” he sticks out a pinky. “Pinky promise?” he says softly, tilting his head to the side, grinning ear to ear. He looked a little out of it.
-
“What is there to be positive about? There is nothing here but white wall and floors. I barely leave my room and you people can’t even let me out of this straight jacket or take this stupid muzzle off my mouth.” Cobalt snaps back starting to get annoyed.
-
Mary stops walking abruptly, “Well.. I’m sure that they’ll find a way to treat you sometime soon…” Mary says, losing some confidence, “In fact, I took you out of your room in order for research to be done. You’ll be helping to find a treatment by coming with me!” She adds as she starts to walk again, confidence renewed.
