Rea smiled, her tongue lolling out slightly az her fur began to obtain a light dusting of snow.

“…Well I hope you don’t get mad…. Because I think I might try that.” She said slowly, then shivered slightly and turned into a wolf. “Much better.” She said, sounding pleased.

“… Aaron, is there such thing as transformation magic?” she asked, laying on the snow.

Rea let out a laugh that sounded somewhat like a bark. “What if all my magic is good for is turning into a wolf and going crazy?”

Rea frowned. “All I’m feeling is frustration. Even if I can’t do what you told me, I should at least be able to do something! Maybe I’m not magical at all….”

“OK!” Rea had an intense expression of concentration on her face as she stared at a few blades of grass. She sat for ten minutes, staring at the grass and imagining what Aaron had described.
“…..aaaaany minute now.” she continued to stare at the grass.

Eni winged her way back over to the ‘base’. “Gekido. Stop that. Help me.” she said as she morphed back into her usual form. There were cuts, still bleeding, all over, not that it seemed to be hindering or bothering her…

Eni pivoted in the air to avoid the kick. “Oh, please. This wasn’t about you, Blaise. This was about him, and he’s dead.” a blast of fire and ice- she was off, taking to the air. “I’m sorry to cut this short, but I’m not quite ready to meet the family.” and with that she took the shape of a bird.

Eni smiled. She’d gotten what she wanted. “Oh my, did you not like that?” she swung her other foot with surprising force into the younger girl’s jaw. “That was interesting, how they all just froze for a second there- even you!” she laughed. “I mean, I had heard, but this test went so well!” her wings swung out, invisible, and slammed hard into Blaise.

Eni’s eyes sparkled, and she laughed. “Oh this is cute! Is it about the house?” she chuckled. “Oh well. Tell me, how do your people feel about attacking their own?” Her eyes remained golden and smug, but her expression morphed into confused terror, her hair changed to a soft auburn, and her skin tanned and flushed. She opened her mouth and screamed.

“And what’s that like?”

“This is concerning news. There are those who would see us dead, if they could get their hands on information like that…. I have a lot to think about. Go downstairs and notify the others that it is safe to return, please, and then you may rest if you like.”
(dare I try to resurrect this beast? I do!)

“So where do we start?” she asked him, smiling. “Books? Meditation? Ooh! Studying? Demonstrations, what?”

Rea nodded slightly, wiggling with excitement. “I understand.” even if she didn’t manage to use any magic, she would get to see Aaron’s magic, and she loved it.
