“Could you teach me?” she asked, grinning. “I bet you could teach me!”
-
“Are you afraid of fire?” Rea asked kindly. “Because, if you are- well, we can try bonding the other way- the natural way.” she smiled. She hadn’t even considered that he might be afraid of fire, and maybe she should have. “To be honest, I’m really nervous about this whole witch thing. I mean sure, sometimes when I get really angry or excited weird stuff would happen, but only sometimes. Other than that- nothing.”
-
“Sorry. Do you want to go talk to Ms. Vine?” she asked. “I think she’s the one to do the bonding stuff.”
-
“Oh my gosh that’s awesome!” I sorta thought you would freak out, like, I mean I guess maybe not so much since you’re a big cat so you can handle yourself!” Rea paused. “Ah, I’m being too excited aren’t I.”
-
“You mean…. you’re not freaked out by it? You still wanna bond with me?” she said, surprised.
-
“REALLY?!” she said, loud and excited. “I mean uh, cool. That’s cool. Maybe we should get to know each other first, though, haha.” she blushed. “Well, I’m Rea, and… ” she trailed off. Introducing herself immediately as a werewolf was probably not wise, but he would know as soon as they bonded anyways… still, she felt suddenly unsure. Not unsure about wanting to bond with Aaron, for some reason that seemed like the most right thing she could do, but unsure if he would still want to bond with her. For now, at least, she could possibly pretend it was transformation magic. It sort of was…. but she didn’t want to lie to Aaron, not if they really followed through with bonding. “and I’m a second generation werewolf.” she scrunched her eyes shut and prepared herself for rejection.
-
“W- when I asked… yeah…” she looked at him shyly. Her nerves were killing her right now. Her hand fidgeted with her skirt, and she couldn’t seem to meet his eyes.
-
Rea smiled and sat down. “So… skipping classes, huh? I- I guess you don’t need them…” tell him tell him tell him! Rea crossed her legs. “So… Ms. Vine said we could bond, probably.”
-
Rea found him, eventually. “Um, hey. Mind if I sit here?” she walked over to him. “Oh, you… you probably don’t recognise me like this. Â I’m Rea. We… met the other night?” she stood nervously before him, fidgeting slightly.
-
Rea blinked. “H-human?” she stuttered. “Really? Well, if you don’t mind… I wanna find Aaron.” she walked out the door, mulling over this new information as she cleaned up her face.
-
Rea sniffled and nodded, blowing her nose. “Wait…. you said I made the situation last night better? How? I attacked that one girl, and I poisoned myself.” she stifled a yawn.
-
“I’m sorry….” she groaned, covering her face with her hands. “I’m acting really selfish, aren’t I?” she sighed. “It has just- been a while.” a long time. Years, that she hadn’t seen her family.
-
Rea seemed to wilt. “But that’s my parents….” she said, her ears and tail drooping. “What if they’re dead by the time you get to them?” she banged her head on the table and then began quietly sobbing. “I already lost my brother, isn’t that enough? Why does everyone have to take things away from me?”
