Rea kept quiet until the other girl left. “My parents were the least violent people I’ve ever known. It was the hunters!” she growled and her face took on a sharp, canine quality. “When can we get them?”
-
“W-wolf hunter territory?” she whimpered, her eyes widening with fear. “Why- why would they- I thought they only killed werewolves that killed people?”
-
“Really?!” Rea responded excitedly, all but forgetting Fang for the moment. “What is it? Did you find them? Are they okay, because if they’re okay, then that means my mom and dad are okay!” her tail popped out, wagging. “Or- I mean- did you-” she was getting too excited for words, and so she just shut up and bounced in her chair.
-
Rea smiled, then frowned. “So… will he, um, not be able to come back to the school then?” she asked, disappointed. “I was sort of hoping he could- teach me things. Yeah. That’s it. Er- wolf things- heh heh” her face began to take a pinkish tint as a blush crept onto it.
-
“That’s the thing. Fang isn’t in trouble, is he?” she yawned, rubbing her eyes. “Because Fang only followed me to keep me safe, and I heard noises. It was the full moon, I wasn’t thinking clearly…. I don’t even really remember what happened. There was the ghost demon thing, and then I was feeling sick…. and then the flowers…” she trailed off. “But, the point is, Fang was only trying to keep me safe, and he didn’t hurt anyone!”
-
Rea looked up at the ceiling. “I can’t help but feel like that’s some bit my fault…” she got herself dressed and walked down the hall to Ms. Vine’s office. “Ms. Vine?” she called softly, knocking on the door.

(lol if Eni could hear him now: “I DIDN”T TOUCH YOUR STUPID COOK, BUT SHE THREW A POT AT ME!!!)
Eni hardly noticed Blaise as she swung her blade again, this time managing a much larger cut across his midriff.
“You should have left me alone.” he snarled and she felt his blade on her shoulder. She jumped back, but the cut still ran from shoulder to collar bone, nearly breaking her spell amulet that held her few remaining human memories. She fell backwards and took to the sky, releasing a flurry of flame at Nicolas.
Eventually, though, Nicolas ran out of steam, and Eni leapt forward and drove the obsidian knife into his chest. He made a surprised noise, then slumped over, dead. “No, I shouldn’t have. You could have told anyone about me, and I can’t have that.” she waved cheerfully to Blaise and her cook, and then began walking out.
-
She walked out and down the halls to her room, grabbing her toothbrush and beginning to brush her teeth. She looked in her bathroom mirror and noticed heavy circles under her eyes. “Oh yeah, I look great.” she muttered to herself sarcastically.
-
Hours later, well into the next day, Rea awoke, her human body clothed in grey shorts and a black tank top. “Man, I lost my clothes again!” she complained, trying to untangle herself from the blanket.
-
Eni growled and the pot shattered before it ever even hit her, frozen bits of clay flying around her. She ignored the cook, jumping up and back into the fight with Nicolas. “I see where your loyalties lie, Nicolas and that really hurts me.” she said, slashing the obsidian blade at him and increasing her speed. “Well, you will have to die then,” she darted under a burst of flame and managed a small cut across his chest. “I have no tolerance for traitors.”
-
The crowd threw her back, and Nicolas was there, slamming a fist into her gut. This wasn’t right. He was human… and then it began to make sense. He had been caught, and turned, and the fire crystal she had given him was boosting his powers. Her split second of shock cost her as she was thrown through the wall of a nearby building.. “Oh, Blaise will not be happy about this.”

By the end of her sentence, Rea was out, sleeping with her paws neatly tucked under her head.
-
She yawned again. “Tell me more about that….” she said, beginning to drift off again, her breathing slow and relaxed.
-
“Because they’re so pretty?” she asked, letting out a sleepy yawn. Though only moments before she had seemed wide awake, now she was drooping to the floor and getting comfortable again. Interest was still there though. “Or do they have some sort of magical property?”
-
“Pentas flowers? What do they do?” she asked, her ears perked up and her eyes bright. “I mean, I assume they do something.”
