A crease formed between her brows. “Nostalgia for what? I remember next to nothing of my mother. And she was all I had in the human world.”
-
“I cannot. There are times when I might fall unconscious after a immense release of my power, but beyond that no.”
-
That damn Mousey, he really just enjoys bugging me…
With a deep sigh she looks at Max. “Alrighty then. What ever the Mousey wants the Mousey gets.” Pinching the bridge of her nose she asks. “So when do we leave?”The sharp noisy beeping of the intercom sounds at her desk. “What now?” She mutters to herself. “Hang on a sec Max, i need to see what this is about.” Pushing a button, the rough voice of one of the SUF house dicks comes out. “Miss Bell? We currently have Aydin in custody. Should we bring him up to you now?”
“Yes thank you. Please do.” Turning back to Max. “Well Aydin is on his way up. Is it just going to be me on this one or the whole team coming?” Leaning back in her desk chair she takes out a whetstone to sharpen her knives as she waits. -
Humph. “So you doubt my skills then?” Turning her smirk into a genuine smile she goes back to their previous topic. “So when are we going after this /Kane/?”
-
“Its fine. It has just been a while since I have thought about it.” Raising her eyebrow at him she asks “You believed that I would kill you if you refused to help me?” Her smirk grows.

(( Apparently I am still in my room…-___- Start reading peoples posts Maxie~ *Shrug* *Goes with the flow* ))
“Max.” With a sharp turn she directs her next blade at his head to which he merely ducks laughing. “You should know better than to just walk in on me. For that matter, we need to get braver interns. I didnt even come close to him! So pathetic.” Shaking her head she looks at him. “So whats this about the mission?”
-
Ava glares at him. “It’s not all that funny you know.” Quieter she continues. “I didnt have a choice.”

Why do I have to this? Ashen asked herself as she stood in the entryway to the club. Couldn’t I just turn around right this instant and go for a nice cup of green tea at home? Surely Em wouldn’t begrudge me that. I mean come on-I am not even a social person! What does she expect from me?! But I promised her I would check this place out just to appease her. And I keep my promises, despite how stupid they are. Oh how did I get myself pulled into this?
Checking in her coat, she keeps her computer case with her. Well if i am to waste my evening here at least i can get some work done. I still have to finish reviewing those applications…
Tapping the nearest waiter on the shoulder Ashen asks him to get her a table. “Could you get me a table please?” Noticing a group of rowdy Alphas heading into another area of the club, she adds. “A quiet table. And perhaps a pot of tea?” As she is led to a table on the edge of the room she gives him a thank you before becoming immersed in her work. Ignoring the other members she opens her laptop and pulls up several documents. -
Moodily she pushes her food around its dish. “I killed him.” She says abruptly.

And a one. *Thunk* And a two. *Thunk* Three. *Thunk* Four. *Thunk* Five, Six and Seven. *Thunk, Thunk, Thunk*
In the darkly lit room, Bell could barely see the moving targets. Trusting her instincts she threw her blades as the animated dummies moved towards her. To bad Mousey and Maxie refuse to let me use the interns anymore. These pathetic animations are alright for simple target practice. But nothing has a sweeter joy then the shedding of rich crimson blood…
A loud rap on the door disturbs her thoughts. “Enter and make your motives known!” She commands keeping her back to the door. A tall male intern enters the dark room holding a manila envelope. Believing the room to be empty he talks to the air. “I have document for a ‘Bell’…” Holding up the envelope, a knife goes past his ear to pin the package onto the far wall. A putrid smell enters the room as the poor boy shats his pants.
“Oh that is just disgusting” drawls Bell’s voice softly from the dark. “Tell Max to send a braver kiddie next time. I dont need you all stinking up my place every time you have to bring me a note.”
Hastily the intern makes a hasty retreat shutting the door behind him.
With a sigh, Bell flicks the lights back on and opens up the window to air out the room. “Every single time.” Shaking her head she grumbles to herself. “Interns these days…”Going over to the back wall she pulls out her knife to open up the envelope. Reading it twice she continues to grumble to herself. “Stupid Max. This is so basic! You dont need my help in this! Argh…”
Grabbing a sweater and placing her knives back in there appropriate sheathes she heads out of the room locking it behind her to go complain to Max. -
Startled she looks up from her dessert. “A while.” She tells him nervously. “I was changed by my father as a girl.” She stopped not wanting to continue. Its been a while now since I have thought of him.
-
Shaking her head at him “You are a freaking British philosopher. I am sure the humans all love to listen to you bitch away.” As she tucks into her sherbet she adds softly “I wouldn’t know”
-
“Humph” Despite being against it Ava sits down and orders a blueberry sherbet from a passing waiter. Turning back to Isen she becomes more and more stressed “It’s not like we had a choice in the matter ourselves. It was turn or die! And now our choice is /to/ /turn/ or die in this war against the fire creatures! None of us had a choice in the matter!”
-
Pulling up next to him she asks “Why do you even bother?! I mean its just such a human trait. You don’t need to you know.” Still she follows him inside as he head towards a building.
-
“Oh no you don’t!” Leaning down on her mount’s neck, she creates a tailwind behind her increasing her speed so that she an Isen were once again level with each other. “Come on infant! Don’t let a old woman like my self beat you!” Once again Ava pulls ahead as the tailwind increases her speed.
