Jaya shook his head as he nommed on a few more snacks. “Sure we can get the material but will you have the energy?”
-
Jaya snickered at the response, so typical by now. “I’ll have you know I can satisfy many in the bed just some creeps I would never share a bed with.”
Jaya thought about it, “A meeting room perhaps, or a place we can all chill.” -
Jaya looked at the food and back at the angels contemplating whether he should check it out as well before grabbing a few sticks and following.
“A lot more spacey than I thought it would be… Cool, though I wouldn’t mind sharing a bed with any of you.” Jaya chuckled as he looked around nosily himself. -
Jaya watched the three interact, interested in how well they seemed to balance one another out, finding it odd but amusing as he watched and ate, cooking Caligula’s a bit. Standing up with his done meat, Jaya walked towards the two, handing Caligula his meat.
He looked between the two of them and grinned, “I don’t think either of you are necessarily right, you cannot deny reality that is dangerous and leads to failure, always. Instead you have to accept it but try to change it, make your own means, so yeah you’re right about that.”
Turning to the other demon Jaya spoke once more, “There is a difference between pessimism and realism but you’re blurring the lines by not trying more. Though false hope is more detrimental both optimism and pessimism can hold you back if you don’t do anything to change. But that’s the whole point of this experiment we have here, to change, to grow as a community.”
“We’re all essentially like super powered humans at this point, these limiters created so that there’s a dependency. You may not think you can contribute much due to lack of strength but helping like with fruit earlier was important, contributing to conversations, making small talk and slowly building trust is important, your conversations with Celest does more than me bringing meat. So yes you can contribute and you’re doing a pretty great job.”
Jaya shrugged, “Celest isn’t the perfect angel and you aren’t the perfect demon but neither are Aureolin and I. I agree with her, no one’s perfect and you don’t need to be incredible. Aureolin is inexperienced compared to the rest of us, I’m the least stable, Celest is the most stubborn, and Caligula is not fit for fighting. We have faults.” -
Jaya shrugged at gave some of the skewers to the excited angel. “Careful with the food, you may be too hot for it.” Jaya winked at the angel as he joined her in cooking, eating some raw himself.
-
Jaya faked a wound, “Oh such sass!” He faked a gasp before laughing.
Jaya just shrugged at the new, not really because of perception, information, it didn’t matter after all. “Yeah these limiters honestly suck, doing anything is a hassle even though it doesn’t need to be. It’s like I’m in water or something with dulled senses.” As he talked, the demon skinned two rabbits and cut them into sizeable pieces. He grabbed a few branches and skewered the meat, stealing some fruit from Caligula’s pile to add to the shish kabobs as well as just making skewered fuit shish kabobs, offering to those around him.
-
“Love birds? Hah, I wish I had a love.” Jaya grinned before finally noticing the hair and slight differences, but didn’t comment. Instead he glanced at the pile where the fire was to be, narrowing his eyes it caught on fire before growing quickly to a nice fire. “Might as well cook this.”
-
Jaya sighed, “A man can dream.” He laughed, breaking the fake persona, “Still though, it would have been cool. We should probably give this food to the angels, they look pretty exhausted. Emphasis on the pretty.” Turning to the angels and walking to them Jaya announced their presence, “We have food that we offer to you angels.” Jaya presented the meat, “I can skin and cut them if you’d prefer.” -
“Occupational hazard? Just what is it that you do?” Jaya said, getting confused. “And how are there only woman?” He gasped dramatically and whispered, “Are you a pimp?”
-
Jaya looked surprised at the angels’ progress and appreciative of the work. He turned back to Caligula with another flirty smirk, “Old? Well I do like my lovers well aged like my wine. But seriously though the lack of flirting is odd, were you in hiding or something because that wouldn’t be possible, not with your look.”
-
Jaya looked thoughtful, “I don’t particularly have a goal, I’m just trying to follow orders and help us reach a peaceful end.” Jaya shrugged, despite how good words seem to contradict, it was the truth. “And yes I have been flirting with everyone, but is that really uncommon? It comes naturally to me, some of what I said was serious and some to tease but it’s all me. Why do you ask, getting a little jealous at my diverted attention?” Jaya switched to flirting once more as they neared the clearing.
-
Jaya shrugged, “You never know.” Jogging off a bit and with a few more throws Jaya collected his kills, about an arm full of kills were in his arms. He looked appreciative of the fruits in Caligula’s hands. “You know a way to a demon’s heart.” He flirted as he lead the way back to the angels.
-
Jaya rolled his eyes at the words but sent a wink Caligula’s way, “I’m great at secrets, I’m even better at making them.” He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively before laughing and changing the subject. “based on the noise I hear the angels have the materials needed for a house and the fire already. You can gather some more to be sure or hello me get this food, maybe help decide whether these fruits around are poisonous or not, I really don’t know what angels eat.” Jaya shrugged before throwing his knife at a fat rabbit in the distance, his aim rather good.
-
Jaya stood quiet a bit, watching the other demon. “I suppose you’re right… Hey what are you always writing down?” Jaya asked as he started looking for some food for real now.
-
Jaya laughed as he heard her scream and her actions as he finally caught up to their resident smoker. “So how are you doing Coffee?” Jaya said amiably as he flipped his knife, walking next to the other demon.
