“I heard your date with my brother went very well!” I cough loudly. <i>This is awkward, </i>I think to myself.

*I smile at her and wave* “Hi. Late for class hm? Did you have a late night?” *I laugh and wink*

*I give up on the map and look over my schedule again.*

*I walk to class feeling a little lost and confused. As I approach the educational buildings I feel sick rembering the events from the night before. I pull out a small campus map and try to locate my class. Having no luck I sit on a bench and examine the map more carefully.*

*I nod* “Yea, that sounds fun. Thanks for walking me back I’ll see you after class” *I hug him goodbye and run in to get my bag.*

*I bite my lip.* “What if we stay with him? I mean you could go to a nice law school here and Nayr and I can finish out primary school together. We can go back to Italy in the summers, and there wouldn’t be any drama with Mother and Father.”

*I come out of the bathroom dressed and ready to go.* “We need to stop by my place and get my bag. Why do you insist on going to classes anyway? With your vocational background you could easily be a teacher here.”

“Grazie!” *I grab the clothes and walk toward the bathroom.* “It’s still early enough for giorno,” I say with another yawn. *I go into the bathroom and shower.*

*I wake up and rub my eyes, and stretch,* “Buon giorno,” I say with a yawn.

*I close my eyes and drift off to sleep with a smile.* “Ti voglio bene, fratello.”

*I come out of the bathroom with my brothers shirt on as a night gown.* “All of your clothes are too big,” I say with a grumpy tone as I fold his shorts back up and put them away.* “I could wear these things like pants.” *I turn off the light and climb into bed and rest my head on his chest, still terrified inside.*

“Non che,” *I slip off my shoes and start digging through his dresser* “I don’t want to talk about it.” *I hope deep down that it was just my imagination and try to shake the thought away. I pull some shorts and a T shirt out of his dresser and head into his bathroom to change.*

“No.” *I grip his arm tighter.* “I don’t want to be alone. Let me stay with you.”

“Yea,” I sniff. “I want to go home.”

*I bury my face in his chest and cry* “Oh god,” I sputter. *I glance at where the body should be but there is nothing there.* “I don’t know what happened.” *I squeeze his coat tightly and continue to cry into his chest.*
