Torrad smiles a bit and leads the way, “Nolegs! Walk.” Nolegs then walks along with both the tall man and the young woman, “What is your name again friend? I am Torrad Melkolfson.” He says, holding his hand out to shake, “And you know Nolegs by now.”
-
Torrad walks back over, seeing the girl and dog both in one piece. Or at least as one of a piece as Nolegs could be… Now, he had his axe on his back and a large amount of firewood in a leather sack on his back. “Alright, my friend. Are you ready to leave then?”
-
Faye looks up at Apollo and smiles, getting up, “I’ll be okay… I know it can be tough, I’m just glad I preped myself beforehand…or else I might have been dead…like for real…” She ups a communication link with him as he goes off into the other ship.
-
Torrad smiles and walks back in the direction of where he was cutting the wood, “Nolegs! Protect!” He says, pointing at the girl.
Nolegs pants and nuzzles her head into the girl’s arms and chest, letting out a soft whimper of reassurance.
-
Torrad nods and smiles at the girl, “Do not be afraid, my friend. I was planning on going back to my home as well… would you like for me to accompany you on the way back? Nolegs can stay here while I get my firewood.”
-
Nolegs pants and sniffs the girl, enjoying the sensation of being petted. Torrad walks up and smiles, his two-handed axe still resting on his shoulder, “Hello, young lady!” He smiles a bit, “I see you’ve met Nolegs.” He looks around a bit, “Erm, why are you out here at this hour?”
-
Torrad smiles at the young lady, “Hehe, I must apologize. Sometimes her words work out a bit too well…” He lets out a sigh, looking at Nolegs, who was now chewing on a bone, “What…where did you…” Nolegs looks up and sniffs the air, hobbling away and barking, “Nolegs! Ack…” He wanders after her, keeping her in sight, but also close enough to hear the group.
Nolegs runs up to the lost girl, slowing down and panting.
-
Torrad nods and smiles a wide grin, “That would be her! She has the way with words that I do not, so I let her do the trading while I take care of other things…like the firewood.”
Nolegs looks up at the trees and barks a few more times.
-
Torrad looks at the two and smiles, “Ah, so this is the Liv you spoke of, Eyiolfr!” He smiles at the two, “I would introduce you both to Anna as well, but she is back at my home, while I am gathering the wood.” Nolegs pants and looks up at Liv, not worried about her anymore. She looks back at Eyiolfr and wags her tail as well, enjoying the company.
-
Torrad pulls the young woman to her feet, having a firm grip on her hand, shaking it after she was up, “Torrad Melkolfson, at yer service, m’lady.” He looks down at the dog who attempts to lick her hands, “That’s Nolegs. She seems to like you.” He lets out a hearty chuckle.
-
Nolegs looks over and barks for a brief moment, running over and sniffing a young woman, “Nolegs!” Torrad shouts, following the dog a short distance, then looking down at the woman, “Well! Looks like that didn’t work out for you.” He chuckles and holds out a hand, his axe still on his shoulder. Nolegs sniffs her a bit more…
-
Torrad shrugs as it doesn’t even move, “Am I just seeing things? Is that what it is?” He looks back at the man in front of him, “So…I think I’m nearly done, got to gather up the wood…” He smiles at the hunter, “Oh, if you tell Anna you know me, she may give you a discount on things…maybe.” He laughs a hearty laugh. Nolegs looks back at the hunter and barks, wagging her tail and panting with her tongue.
-
Torrad nodded as he talked to the man, “Ah, I see.” Nolegs begins to bark, looking up in the trees at something up there. Torrad looks at her, “What is it girl?” He follows her gaze and sees the faint shape of…well, something. “Aye! A monkey!! They really do exist!” He looks at it and just stares. “Huh…thought they were only legend…”
-
Torrad points behind him with his thumb, “Cutting up a plethora of wood. When I head over to the thing, I’m making sure Anna can be warm at night and day.” He smiles, looking at him, “What about you friend? Out on a hunting trip I guess?”
-
Torrad shakes his head, “I guess you could say I’m an…outcast in a way.” He smirks and waves in the direction of the village, “I do live here, but I’m a farmer closer to the outskirts.” He looks up at the man, smiling, “I bet you’ve met my sister, Anna. She takes care of the trades and such, having a way with words and all.”
