    Aena:

“Actually, I haven’t moved from her for the last few hours. My foot began to spill oil, and now I can’t move it at all. But, I’ll still pull together a lesson in an hour or so.”

She grabbed some debris and used it as crutches. When she got to her feet, she tasered Ren, calmly, and without prejudice.

She walked to her room and started on repairs, wondering what to do today.

    Tom:

Tom took the vial and retreated to his dorm.

Alright, firstly I have to locate my soul. Ah, now I’ll carefully meditate, so I can move it out of my body.

It moved ever so slightly, but with no real result. In the end, Tom just drew an alchemy circle on himself and moved it out that way. With the last of his strength he capped the vial before sinking onto his couch. Unfortunately, a loose spark ignited his wastebasket, and it spread to his bed sheets. He couldn’t even call for help, as he had the sudden urge to sleep. He fell onto the floor, not sure whether he would finally die. Suddenly, he had an idea. He absorbed the energy of the flames, and that allowed for full consciousness , if only for a few minutes. He was right; his being was damaged by magical backlash, and that allowed him to live without his soul, for how long, he didn’t know.

    Tom:

Tom grabbed the crystal and put it in his coat pocket.

“Well, do it. Sunder my soul. If it’s for the right cause, I won’t hold it against you, and I’m a very good judge of character. I’m sorry Kuze, you’ll have to wait a while before we can spar. Who knows, maybe I can walk it right off. I am cursed, in a matter of fact, though mine is self inflicted.”

    Aena:

Aena limped to the crowd. She learned that her foot was indeed broken, because it was in more than one piece. Aena could detect faults in her machinery, but this was the first time where she broke part of a limb.

“You! You formed an energetic singularity. You could’ve killed someone. I’ve read enough theology to know that your logic is flawed. ”

    Tom:

“Well, Mars. I am a slayer with a wide arsenal of skills. I can offer you a deal. I’ll just alchemize a soul with enough potency. If you’re telling the truth, one made by me should be enough. But rather, take my soul. It is not of human origin, nor is it morally devoid, I can assure you that. Go ahead. Magical backlash has left in a position where my soul is unusable by me, and whatever is’t part of the anima is left is animating me.

But I want insurance. If you are lying, then all of these students are witnesses. If I do die, then You’ll reanimate me with your foul magics. Can you do that?”

    Aena:

“Alright, that’s every herb. Tommorow, I think I should take a break and check if my leg is broken. Thank you Mr. Q, Mr. Haru, I will try my hardest. I beg my leave, everyone, class dismissed.”

Aena limped towards Kuze, finding his heat signature to be different than anyone else’s. She sat down and started working on her leg.

    Tom:

“I hope you understand, I wish to keep it private, but I’ll tell you this: There was someone whom I loved and she wanted to be strong. She wanted to use that strength to make a place where there would be less people like her and me, and so I shall inherit her wishes.”

Tom’s face went from coy to stoic, and he activated blank, using alchemy to reinforce his skin. Then he took out his lighter and chalk and formed a reinforced sword, and took off his coat and holster.

“Do not be afraid to hurt me,” He said. Actually, Tom almost died like three times in the last few months.

    Aena:

Aena sensed that someone had disobeyed her orders. And that person needed to be tased. Several times, within quick succession. And if she ever saw that person, she would not hesitate. And another one, wasn’t as  bad; She would not tase that second person. A firm reprimand would be enough. In fact, if they attended class, maybe she would forgive them, but most probably not.

    Tom:

    Tom put down his book.

“I had given up on a response, but I couldn’t be more glad. Is the gym okay, I’m not an outdoor fighter.”

    Aena:

“A spar, right now. Oh, no. Well, if it’s Kuze, I can make an exception. Please, hurry back.”

Aena turned to Ms. Miwa, “Okay then, now let’s look at all the medicinal plants. You can feel these ones if you want.”

Aena could not feel, rather she judged the degree of hardness or softness.

    Aena:

Aena said jovially, too naive to figure much out of anything, “I’m more than capable of handling a few students, but thank you for asking, Mr. Q.”

She sensed curiosity in Ms. Miwa and began to list out all the herbs and their ailments.

    Tom:

Tom had no need for this class because he could identify toxins in different organic compounds.

    Tom:

Tom walked back in to the classroom. He saw like, two out of the people there with books, so he assumed it was  part of the class.  And so he continued on.

    Aena:

“But, but, I had some little things to share. It was to redeem myself for the botched lesson last time. I have specimens of safe and poisonous herbs and a I had a full presentation.”

Aena grabbed a piece of poison ivy and rubbed it against her hand. “For example, this one is very agitating.”

    Tom:

Tom jogged while carrying a book that said that mages that knew extensive mathematics would somehow be more accurate.

This? This is right? It has to be if it I found it here?

    Aena:

Aena saw that Mr. Haru was looking for the Mr. Q, so she brought him a glass of water and directed him to the right classroom. She stared murder onto Ren, and less so to Tony.

“You two! You have the choice of getting tased or actually running the laps.”

Then the ran to where Miwa was sitting, finding her with her thermal sight. To do all of this, Aena had to move at faster speeds than she should, bumping her toes into corners dozens of times.

“Ms. Miwa~, that’s quite enough. We should go back now,” She said warmly, but her voice was only mechanical.

    Aena:

“Hmm, Mr. Takra. I guess this is one fault in my logic. I made a list of students who actively attended the classes, and I decided to punish those. Miwa was part of only the first list but I couldn’t differentiate. Still, for now, I’m off to find a pair of mean truants. Please excuse me.”

    Tom:

“My compliments Takra, for some reason my passive chemical sight didn’t detect you, making it a first since I got here. I want so badly a sparring partner but I know that I wouldn’t be challenge right now, at all. I’m going to take a jog, maybe take a book with me, adieu.”

    Aena:

“Hmm. I’m not very good at visual queues. Mr. Tom, are you the only one here? You’ve been mean to me, but at least you listened to my commands. I should advise you to cover your ears.”

Aena connected her audio output into the intercom once again and found the scariest and most threatening voice in her files. She blasted over the speakers:

“HOW DARE YOU? YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. NOT ONLY DID YOU IGNORE YOUR STUDENT TEACHER’S LESSON, BUT SOME OF YOU HAD THE AUDACITY TO SHOW UP AND LEAVE. EVERYONE SHALL RUN LAPS AROUND THE SCHOOL. EVERYONE WHO DOESN’T COMPLY WILL BE SEEKED OUT AND BE DISCIPLINED”

Her voice became soft and almost childlike again, “Audacity. Audacity. That’s a strange word. I would have never thought of that before. I hope I wasn’t too strange. I wonder if my taser still works?”

    Tom:

“Coffee tastes awful. How can anyone drink this instead of tea?”, He muttered quietly to himself.

    Aena:

“Um, put it wherever you need. I think there’s enough to cover the back board, Thank you Mr. Ludwig.”

    Aena:

“We’ll then, Mr. Ludwig. I guess you can do as you please. But for now, I want you help me hang these posters.”

She gestured towards a few things she had printed out earlier. On them were all the things that were edible or otherwise useful and also poisonous things, as well as various medical procedures, like CPR, etc.

    Tom:

Tom grumbled into the classroom with a thermos full of tea. He wanted to apologize to Ren, but he didn’t know quite how. He was going to wake up a little first before then.

    Aena:

Hmm, that might be everyone. I should start now, she thought to herself.

“Oh, Mr. Ludwig, I didn’t know you were still here. I’m sorry about before.

Anyway class, it comes to my attention that our learning environment is more dangerous than the average school. So, I want everyone to learn some precautions. While I can’t teach anyone any alchemy or healing magic, I want everyone to learn how to use a first-aid kit. And afterwards, since everyone thinks that’s boring, I’ll teach everyone some self-defense.”

    Aena:

When Q tapped her, it made a small clinking sound. “Would you please excuse me? I have to patch up a rip in my arm. I’ll make the announcement then.”

On the speakers, Aena said in her a flat voice, “All students are to report for class within fifteen minutes. I will briefly explain the lesson. I can assure it won’t take long.”

When she was fixing her arm in her room, she verbally complained to herself how even a stray twig or branch could rend her skin. She absently put a band-aid on it; she was positive she wouldn’t have done that a few months ago. She took it off, but that only broke her skin yet again. This process consumed all of her fifteen minutes, before she returned and took a seat.
