    Tom:

Tom walked walked to the front of the school and saw all the new students, eager to meet them. He was able to find her in the forest, but he hadn’t yet discovered Bryne. “Hello, Charlotte? I don’t know if we’re doing secret santa anymore, but I already made your gift,” he said as he handed her a white box. Inside was a gold statue of herself. True, it was illegal for an alchemist to make precious metals, but she wasn’t going to sell it. Well, hopefully not anyway. Just then it hit him. Feeling extremely awkward, he hurried away, afraid that Bryne would take it the wrong way.

    Aena:

Aena knocked on Godal’s door. She had finally gotten to fixing her blush lights, but seeing how they were now she could possibly blow a fuse again.

    Aena:

“Okay, if you insist. If you must, please take a painkiller, and you Ms. Kit?” she said as she produced white pills from a secret compartment in her arm. “I have access to vast collections of medical knowledge if anyone needs help. I suggest applying antiseptics.”

    Aena:

Aena was able to trace the gunshot. When she got to the dormitories she saw the injured Germany. By the time she arrived (she could move surprisingly fast), she found that all save the leader had been defeated, or at least knocked down. “Mr. Ludwig, I am learned in first aid. Although I disagree, I also have combat capability, and will aid If anyone is in dire need. Now, would you like your wound dressed or cauterized,” she said as she started to work on it.

    Tom:

Hmph, I was completely wrong about that kid.

Tom straightened his tie and his coat and strolled to the gym, his hands in his pockets.

    Aena:

Aena faltered. She had never meant to insult Ludwig, much less send him out.

I didn’t know that humans valued the privacy of such trivial things. Anyway, I wonder if I even count as a student. I’ve been taking shelter here for quite some time, and I’ve been reading the school’s books, so I guess it applies to me too. Can someone like me even act normal for one conversation? I miss Kuze, I felt he understood me. I hope he comes back safely one day.

I can never be human, and no amount of learning can change that.

    Aena:

“Yes, I can take you there.” She looked in the direction but saw that the office lacked any heat signatures. “Instead, perhaps you’d rather go to the front, where you can meet with the principal, unless of course you have business with the main office.”

Aena was unsure about the existence of the staff of the school. All paperwork and cleaning occurred without Aena seeing any workers.

“That aside, I would like to introduce myself as Aena Schwarz. I am also a psychology and sociology student.”

    Tom:

Tom jumped, shocked at what the hunter had done. He thought at first the griffin attacked him first, but no, he had actively hunted it. He had killed it, a rare, relatively peaceful creature, not for sport, but for a prize. He hadn’t done anything to the body.

He is no comrade, he’s a villain, who kills not for reason, but instead for personal gain. This was no demon, not even an angel, but rather an animal. For how long have I lived here without the threat of monster attacks. And he collects money in exchange of killing it?

    Aena:

Aena decided to to draw a name, but instead her linked databases had notified her of two new students. She walked towards the front of the school but instead ran into Ludwig, who looked a little familiar to her. “I am quite sorry. Please pardon me,” she said, her language program not working properly.

    Tom:

Tom heard a gun go off and walked to the location. He saw both the grandiose beast and the killer. He saw through the civilian clothing. He saw all the concealed weapon, which was very easily made clear using a little concentration.

A fellow slayer. No, he’s far from a comrade. He’s certainly not a Deux, but rather a human. In fact, he’s the only human I’ve yet seen. His bullets are unlike mine, not coated with silver, at least on primary chemo-analysis. That suggests that their targets can be more than just monsters and demons. Still, I can’t judge based on appearances. Any company would be reassuring at this point.

Tom had heard of certain humans who hunted angels, or even species who resembled them. Tom was lucky; if his ancestry was even a little more pure, he would’ve showed non-human physical characteristics, he himself being very much human.

“Hello,” he said to Miwa as he passed her. “Take care.”

She, on the other hand, is very much in danger. Or maybe not, didn’t Mr. Godal have a rule against murder. Oh, and Takra and Kurama, I wonder how they’ll react.

    Tom waved slightly at Andrew.

While Tom thought Of what gift to get Charlotte, his mind wandered off. As he wandered the expansive campus he thought mostly of useless things. But also things of great importance.

Psions are magic particles that explain its properties. Chakra, mana, chi, aether. All the same. All sentient beings produce them, and at least for people, they are unique like snowflakes. Miwa’s was powdery and silvery, but there was something about them that made it painful to wield as he did. What had she gone through?

Although he isn’t the most adapt at seeing them, he could just grasp the basic nature of others’ too. Takra’s and Kurama’s was as one, and it was warm and passionate. Mr. Godal’s was heavy and enigmatic. His descendant’s were like that, but softer, and almost like the we’re envious. Dova’s was also warm, but it was different than the others. Tom figured it was because he was Alternian. Although he hadn’t seeen them in a while, Mr. Ken’s were golden and inviting, and Ash’s were verdant and powerful though it looked like the later couldn’t harness them properly. Lucifer’s were dark and rich, and it greatly frightened Tom. However she hadn’t done anything dangerous yet. The devil child’s were fun-loving and disrupting. Tom didn’t produce psions, not since the accident. In all effectiveness, he was a breathing corpse.

    Tom:

Tom blanked out for a second and then greeted the new kid. “Hello. My name is Tom.” That aside, Tom motherfucking loves secret Santa. He drew Charlotte, whom he hadn’t even met yet. He tried to remember and was able to narrow it down to the two new girls from the party a while back.

    Aena:

Aena smiled slightly, only understanding the santa part of it all. “Can I draw next?” she said with her still confused voice. ”

Hmm, it’s a good thing my language program hasn’t messed up in a while. I don’t want to jinx it though.

(I may have internet, but not hot water)

    Tom:

Tom turned, immediately heading for the gym. As he entered he bowed  slightly in Godal’s direction. Tom did have a little time to tidy up, and he was good as new.

    Aena:

Aena was still assimilating knowledge, but when the heard the announcement she placed the books down and contemplated the message.

I’m here to take shelter, but does that mean that I’m a student? Can a nonperson even be a student?

She decided to go anyway. She noticed Kuze was absent. Her emotional status read as ‘sad’. She couldn’t tell why.

It can’t possibly be because he’s gone. After all, all I did was share a single dance.

    Aena:

Aena walked slowly to a library. In order to become more human, she decided to read up as much literature as possible. Indiscriminately, she grabbed plenty. Using a program that parses images into information, she quickly read stack after stack. She moved so fast that she had to be careful, otherwise her sleeves would rip and her dress would have to be fixed again. In the end, fiction was hard for her to understand, but she liked it over nonfiction. Like all the tragic heroes and dastardly villains, that was what she wanted to become. Human, with emotion.

    Tom:

Tom finished up and felt refreshed. He noticed the absent of Kuze’s bio-signature, but also the presence of another one. He went towards it and hoped to meet with it’s owner.

That’s a shame. I wanted to test my metal against his. I hope he comes back safe.

    Tom:

Tom worked until his body was in complete pain. He could always restore himself, but then the force would be put on his mind instead. “I’m sorry,Sis. You threw away your life for mine, but I’m wasting it. I’m not getting any stronger. I can’t carry out your dream,” he muttured to himself.

He reminisced of all the times he would spar with her. Being beaten consistently by a younger sister kept was the only thing that kept his pride in check, and now when she is gone Tom felt like trash. Being in the company of so many strong people didn’t help. He thought about Miwa, who didn’t realize her power yet, Takra and Kurama, who somehow cooperate, the hot-blooded ones who blow away at each other without harm, and Jerrel with his gale-force wind. He thought of the new students, what might they think of him. Tom wanted to spar with someone again; to find someone to trust in the tides of everyday.

He pulled himself back together and made himself some tea. Out of habit, he made enough tea for two. Cup in hand, he returned to the library, reading about forbidden knowledge he might never use.

    Aena:

Aena decided not to go look for Jerrel. Instead (Without permission) she accessed and stored all data about administrators and students. That way, she wouldn’t have to introduce herself to everyone the met. While doing so, she felt a large amount of information on a private specialized network system. She wasn’t able to access it.  She inferred the only one to do that would be Kuze with his nanobots.

She found herself an empty room and started charging and maintenance. She washed and restored her ruined dress, and started working on her blush lights. She opened a way towards them but found it extremely hard. To appear more human, she was hard-programmed to have a certain degree on clumsiness. It was a major disadvantage during combat and self-maintenance, but she did find it important to her personality.

    Tom:

Tom sat in his room, and then moved into the library to study. He studied quantum physics and moved on to an empty gymnasium to practice his marksmanship and swordplay. He carefully inscribed basic alchemy circles on both his word and gun. He sensed the superhuman with a new carbon fiber weapon, probably a sword judging from its dimension.

Rather peculiar, this sword has a ridiculous amount of impurities. No, knowing him, there’s some sort of nanotechnology. It doesn’t matter, once find a stable power source I’ll be able to do the same with my weapons.

Tom continued to practice and study till his mind and body was exhausted. The last thing he read was about using distant power sources for alchemy.

    Aena:

Aena was finally able to charge up and walked into the largest office. She found a somewhat busy Godal, “Sir, are you the owner of this school? If so, i would like to stay here as a student.”

    Tom:

Tom felt disgusted at whatever he just witnessed.  His ear was still seriously hurt and the loud music and yelling didn’t help. No one approached him so he left.

    Aena:

Aena remembered her time when she was held captive,  forced to perform military operations. She was uneasy watching the strangers fight,  especially at a supposedly peaceful ball. She still danced, but as the pace heated up, she was afraid of going to fast. “Do people normally fight like that? I don’t sense hostility,  just mutual annoyance,” She laughed at her own misunderstanding.

    Tom:

Tom looked to find Jerrel and Takra.

Guess, I’m not the only one. Maybe I’ll annoy them if I approach.

He decided to leave them alone. In all honesty, Tom felt that parties were rarely fun and were social obligations more than anything else. Still, it has been quite some time since he held a conversation, not including the small talk with Miwa and Dova.

    Aena:

Aena’s access to the internet was disrupted by Kuze’s nanobots. She didn’t mind, because she was able to focus more on Kuze. “I am happy, I am really happy,” She said repeatedly. The bulbs that made her blush both sparked, much to her dismay. “I’ll fix that later. Anyway, could you tell me about this place. By architectural analysis and by the fact that there’s a ball, this must be a school. Do you think the owner would let me stay here?”
