Taren looked over. “A way for machines to interface with each other. …Oh, wait! I never properly introduced myself, did I?”
-
Taren raised an eyebrow. “Hmm. It seems I have a new question to ask. Does anyone know if this robot has a USB port?”
-
((Okay then. I have the perfect way to introduce my characters.))
Entering the library were two jackals and… an odd orange creature. They were all humanoid, and wearing clothing. They immediately found the group. The blue jackal spoke in a somewhat deep, almost growling, voice. “Ahem. Sorry to interrupt, but you wouldn’t happen to know where the ‘World Of Anomaly’ series might be located, would you?”
-
((Is there a way I can get a recap of what’s happening?))

I’m currently working on a series called World of Anomaly, about a genius scientist (who just so happens to be the heir to the throne of the Egyptian god of death, Anubis), his brother, and his sister-in-law. They live in a universe similar to ours, but with fantastical creatures, which they just so happen to be. The scientist, Taren, discovers plans for a scrapped planet using his godly powers. He writes a book-within-a-book about this planet, bringing it into existence. He writes copies of his friends into the book, to protect the world. The characters here will be the versions from Taren’s universe, since how else would they know of our copyrights?
Name: Chris “Trigger” Flamesoul
Age: 18
From: World of Anomaly (book 1 still in progress IRL, finished in-RP)
Appearance: A red jackal with a blue jacket, orange scarf, somewhat round glasses, and a tan hat. https://images-1.discordapp.net/.eJwVyDsOwyAMANC7cADMr6mdc3SvEEEOUhKQcaeqd2-7vOG9zUsOs5pddcwVYGuzdNns1C6Zq-Xe-ah5tGlLPyGr5rKf9dIJISakkPyCeA_kyaV_kcPovMflJ90iPKQxV3kGOy42ny9K8iMy.xFbG7MGCML-tYVqPq3wpo5G4jw8I (Image is… pretty large.)
Personality: Trigger is a bit of a punsmith and a memelord. He makes friends fairly easily.
Abilities: Able to freely control fire, due to his brother altering his DNA with that of a phoenix.
Name: Alyssa Flamesoul
Age: 18
From: World of Anomaly
Appearance: An orange wingless humanoid dragon with fur. She has her “hair” in a short ponytail. She usually wears a white shirt with a Pokemon, Latias, on it, and a pair of jean shorts. https://images-1.discordapp.net/.eJwVyMENwyAMAMBdGAAHGyWQXyepEEEEicQIu6-qu7e9573Na3azm1N1yA5wNMk8DyvKM9ViK3PtJY0mNvMFSTXl8yq3CiD5ENG7NYQNo4uL_9dvKKyeFkQk2uDRWy5PZ8ddzecLAk0iPA.N2FFIlrjq-6plV4GAaV7ABGy5Tw (also too big)
Personality: Similar to Trigger. A bit more of a prankster, but can be a bit more easily frightened.
Abilities: Able to use psychic powers. These are levitation, telekinesis, healing magic, and telepathy. Alyssa is also able to bend light to her will, letting her change how she looks. She is mentally linked to Trigger, after an accident.
Name: Anubis “Taren” Flamesoul IV
Age: 25
From: World of Anomaly
Appearance: A blue jackal with square glasses and a lab coat. https://images-2.discordapp.net/.eJwVyFEOwiAMANC7cADKCirdObxAwwhbslFC65fx7ur7fG_3mqdb3W42dAXYDi0yN68mk1v1TaSdlcehvsgFbMZlv2o3BYwpE6blnvMDaaGQ_vUbQrrlFCPmEODJc9buR2_u8wXjoyJE.Bv2SLAT_L20GKNdfdyNfeZrnGqQ (also large)
Personality: He can appear a bit scary, since he’s about 7’7″ and has a voice similar to Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z, but is actually a friendly and helpful guy. He is quite self-aware about being in a book. He is a genius, and very polite. Another thing most don’t know is that he’s not straight.
Abilities: Any souls around Taren become visible as glowing orbs. He can judge these souls, sending them to a redesigned Egyptian afterlife which features heaven and hell. He can also look into a person’s soul, and read their feelings and karma. Taren is a genius inventor, and modified his own DNA to give himself electric powers. Taren may be a god of death, but he is not invulnerable. He is able to be killed through normal means.

Now I remember why I went in a circle back then. “Oh yeah, I saw that couch. It was blocking my way when I was patrolling. Thanks for the help!”
-
Well, now, this was getting ridiculous. I decided to see if Leppu was telling the truth, so I heightened my senses and… well… he had a believable aura around him. I still don’t know how he managed to do that to this very day. “I can’t seem to sense anything that would give away a lie, so your story checks out. I do quite like the name Warriors of Anubis, as well… Although, I may be a little biased since I was biologically engineered with what is essentially an interdimensional Anubis.” I quickly questioned whether or not that was something I usuallly said. I quickly shrugged it off when the hovering guy mentioned a request. “What request?”
-
I returned the handshake. “Nice to meet you, Leppu. I’m not exactly sure what my name is, but I go by ‘Trigger.’ Recently, I’ve heard rumors of assassins and some sort of organization, but they’ve traveled from person to person so much that I can’t figure out who started them. I guess since you mentioned them, you might know something.” I have no clue why I didn’t try to use my genetically modified “sixth sense” to see if he was lying at the time. Maybe because of the fact that I finally met someone who I might possibly be able to befriend. As a member of the guard crew, I found it very hard to make friends, as I only ever interacted with my fellow guard members.
(A conversation occurs between Trigger and his author, Corey, after the post is finished.)
Corey: I guess you’re doing good at writing this so far.
Trigger: Well, who experienced it? You or me?
Corey: Neither of us.
Trigger: That’s right. Wait, huh?
Corey: This is all experienced by an alternate dimension version of you, y’know.
Trigger: …Shut up.
Corey: You can’t win against your crea-
Trigger: I said shut up.
Corey: It’s true.
Trigger: It’s time to SHUT UP! It’s time to SHUT UP, OKAY?! NO MORE. -
I tumbled forward a little, caught off guard by the guy that had just crashed into me. “Real good first impression there, buddy,” I said. He looked a bit afraid. “Don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you, unless you’re a member of those assassins I’ve heard talk about. In that case, ignore what I said about not being afraid.”
-
Somewhere upstairs, a young man stood guard. He had heard talk of assassins on the ship, and was unsure if the rumors were true or not. Ah, well, what did he care. He-berdgsynwcpahl

;lxjkflfjl
kjdtsuzv-2;7jdgeu,g egSorry about that, I was… um… “convincing” the narrator to try to let me tell the story from my point of view. It isn’t easy when you’re the alternate version of yourself without the augmentations that the roleplay version of you has. Anyways, yeah. I was watching upstairs for assassins. (Gotta be careful of even rumors, y’know. Word spreads quickly around here, and pretty soon truth gets mangled with fiction. If even someone untrustworthy says something, well, it circulates. It’s like a big ol’ game of Telephone. Now where was I? Ah, yes, standing guard.) I’m not too familiar with the ship’s design, so I had taken the exact set of paths and hallways that would lead me in a circle. (How this happened, I still have no clue.) I ended up back at the elevator, and the sign next to it said that whoever was using it was on their way up to the exact floor I was on. So I waited.
((Note: I’ve always been a fan of first-person, as it shows the character’s personality a bit more, so I decided to stick some in here. I also kinda like the idea of more regular versions of the characters watching as their creator types.))
