she was surprised that the man’s head didn’t detached and even more when he showed sighs of resurrecting, she quickly jumped away from the man and looked at her blade, it was dull not human at all

she could hear the strange metal horse approaching, and see the man going away..FLYING?! that couldn’t be, she caught herself wondering if the man was some kind of god or if the whole fight was just a delusion

she inhaled and waited for a couple of seconds before exhaling so she could let go of the tension

She lands ably and seeing the man’s opening she quickly turns and connects two hits at the man’s leg joints cutting down his leg tendons and making him fall down instantly, the man was now lay down on the floor unable to get up, she simply thrust her blade at the back of his head ( precisely the weakest part of the human’s skull) and turns her blade, unless the man was capable to withstand severe brain damage he would be dead or at least out of combat by now

If any of those where the case she proceeds into slashing the man’s neck to cut down his head and use it like a trophy, as the samurai rule dictates as a way to honor a worthy opponent

Alexia quickly press forward, rolling under the giant rock, she pick up speed and jumps towards the man, sword in hand, she aims a clean cut at the man’s neck

The samurai spin to the right to dodge the man’s thrust and unstuck her blade from his arm at the same time, taking a few steps backwards in a defensive position to increase the distance between her and the man

not human if the man had anything human he would probably bleed to dead in no time, Alexia however was not counting on that, she straightened her position and got ready to defend from his next attack

Alexia was already in position to hit the man’s arm so when he tried to hit her face she simply tried cut off his hand instead

her knowledge in sword combat, along with her already favorable position, enhanced agility, reflexes and the long range of the sword should put her on the advantage in a test like that

a couple of seconds later she landed gracefully at the man’s right flank, lowered knees, hand at the hilt of her sword she was going to take the man right forearm off but was also in position to defend herself from almost any kind of attack

too loud, too imprudent the enhanced hearing allowed Alexia to hear the man approximation from meters away, she could also see the satisfaction in his eyes when he toked the woman’s head away bloodlust, probably not educated in the ways of warrior

however she never saw anything like that before so she straightened her defensive position while wavering the chain and scythe above her head, she was surprised when the sword at the man’s hand changed its format but even more surprised when he simply jumped ignoring stance/weapon of choice

she did what she did many times before with warriors just as that man, she threw the chain and scythe at the man’s weapon while dodging a little to the side, out of his attack range, and pushed, there was no possibility for her to miss and if the man wasn’t at least a seasoned warrior or his weapon didn’t have any special abilities (stronger than Prototerra-55 tech level) the chain would constrain the sword which would be simply taked away from him before he even reached the ground

Baylet was at the corner of the library reading a book how to deal with magical artifacts she stopped when the magic girl reached for her shoulder

“but of course, i will help ya out!” she said still with the same smile she had when discovered her whole bookshelf was organized in a blink of eyes “my powers may be sealed now but i still can try to help a fellow out, you were the only one who gave me food here so yes, i am still in a your debt”

After a brief course under the tatics and the a couple of arrow volleys fired from both sides the armies clashed on the battlefield

After cutting off a man’s arm, another man’s leg and opening the belly of a armored woman Alexia found herself far advanced into the enemy lines, she does not hesitate and instead of retreating she picked her Scythe and Chain and started spinning it above her head, hitting the people who were at range or the warriors who tried to face her

Moments later there was a hole on the enemy side, Alexia was surrounded by at least 15 men all respecting the range of the Scythe and Chain above her head, a range delimited by the at least ten bodies dead or agonizing on the floor around her.

Alexia could hear the sound of battle getting closer and even see some of the enemies fleeing from the battle line, the men surrounding her however where getting too relaxed throwing vain insults at her she responded with a shout “I AM THE DEATH SCYTHE OF THE HIDEKARI, THOSE WHO WISH MY LAND ANY ILL ARE WELCOME TO PRESS FORWARD AND TASTE MY BLADE!” a couple of women threw their weapons at the ground close to Alexia’s feet in respect and leaved the battlefield, the few who charged at her were decimated by the Vibroscythe, most of the people however only increased the range between them and the chain and scythe. Meanwhile, the Hidekari’s army was pressing foward

Baylet looks at the book still at her hand, just to look around and see the whole bookshelf organized, she puts the book back where it should be, open up a big smile “HELL YEAH! I AM FREE FROM THIS SHIT!” she scream and straighten her hat “BAYLET IS BACK IN THE GAME! “Miss Hidekari, what a pleasure to see you still alive, shame that i can’t say the same about your father and brothers…” she noticed the word “shame” and responded quickly “There is no shame in dying in battle Mr. Highfire” she knew the man, he was a minor lord from another kingdom they were currently at war “what brings you to this land My Lord? you came for your fine share of plundering or it’s tittle?” the man snorted “maybe both? i came to see if your family is all that they claim to be, after your father and all their sons being utterly defeated in battle i couldn’t lose my time to have my fun with their daughter could i? if i waited too much you would simply disappear from our society like the rest of your family!” the man laugh and so did his retainers, Alexia expression however was cold as ice

“if you have so much of a desire to teste my skill in battle than we could have a duel right here, there would be no need in involving our armies into this” the man responded with a wave of hands “this wouldn’t be fun at all, but there will be plenty of opportunities for you to show your skill on the battlefield young princess, fare thee well” he said while turning his back and returning to his army “fare thee well My Lord, hope to see you soon on the battlefield” she also said returning to her position

At the library there was nothing much she could do, as she said before, she could only write and read Demonic, what a surprise though it was when she found a whole bookshelf filled with demonic books, she picked up a book and sit on a chair to read

As expected from Demon book the language was exquisite, eccentric and lewd? probably the work of a lust demon…after a few more minutes of reading Baylet knew she already had enough

She analyzed the whole bookshelf and thought she could catalog the books there in a matter of three to five hours, she putted her hands at the sides of her head and started massaging it, this job is going to be more of a pain in the ass than the last ones, she picked another book…

Prototerra technology also includes vibroblades (not enough to pass through concrete walls and reinforced steel but enough to break trough wood structures and light plates of steel, those are very expensive and as such only a small portion of the population can have them), Compound Bows, High Reinforced Mail (stuff capable of protecting against vibroblades to some extent but REALLY heavy and expensive)
