Eh, nah, it’s alright to ask. I wondered why myself, too, until I came across Mary-Sueish type fantrolls, THEN I understood.
The reason as of yet to why this is so complicated is because A LOTTA PEOPLE IN HOMESTUCK DON’T LIKE MARY-SUE OR GARY-STU FANTROLLS OR FANCHARACTERS. It’s a major problem in the fanbase.
Not to mention, anything NOT following the guidelines of fantroll/fancharacter and canon character/troll stuff is known to be “not right”, “retarded”, and even, “shouldn’t have existed”. People in the fanbase are VERY strict when it comes to creating fantrolls/fancharacters, even suggesting to NOT make fantrolls/fancharacters, for the sake of trying to keep the uniqueness of the canon characters alive and well, although sadly failing in attempts.
Plus, all the canon characters of Homestuck have actual research and meanings behind them, and if a fantroll or fancharacter doesn’t exactly APPLY to these rules of meaning, research, and recreation, it is shunned and known as a “failed OC”.
But, people of the fanbase STILL create these fancharacters, mainly because they feel as if they need to be part of the fandom in their own way as some part or another, even inserting themselves in the storyline JUST TO FEEL INCLUDED out of self-purpose.
Even as Hussie himself stated, “All fancharacters are canon”, in which is usually used to emphasize as of why people feel they WANT or NEED to create their own character, despite some of the fandoms own whims.

I was also planning on making someone who is more active than I a mod, and help me out with this. That’s really the only requirement, is to just be more active than myself until this phase of my life passes over, and even THEN they can stay a mod. So sorry about the delay!

Welp, it’s totes past November 20, the roleplay will begin in 3 Days from today, basically meaning everyone has from December 2 to December 5 to prepare yourselfs!

I’ve been doing research on finding Homestucks in my area, and I’ve found a little site that’s TOTALLY LEGIT and shows where Homestucks are in your area! It’s AMAZING. I found that there’s a homestuck near me in Bloomfield, New Mexico, and I can easily meetup with them soon if I just asked!
Use this site to your advantage, and add where you are as well so Homestuck fans can make sure to know that they are not alone! 😀

Well, you sign up your character FIRST in the Oc/Canon character topic of the forum, THEN you can go ahead and RP. I just need more of the votes from everyone else in the group so that way we can start the first one.

I once had a huge hateful relationship with a girl in middle school, and would get in fists fights with her all the time.
Once, after school, we got into another fight, but at the time I had my super sharp pair of scissors in my hand to cut some paper into different shapes. She started to diss me again, cursing at me, but once she said the word that rubbed me the wrong way, I tried to stab her with my scissors in her side. I kinda missed, but left a pretty deep gash, and it left her shirt red in the same spot.
Luckily, my mom pulled up suddenly, and I ran towards the car, flew in, slammed the door, and we sped off. She DID ask me why I got in so fast, so I just told her that I was excited to get home.
I’m so glad my mom doesn’t question some things that I do.
BTW, this was in a park near my school, so no teachers or parents were around, really. And she NEVER, EVER reported it to the school, strangely. I still don’t know why.

Ryllin fumbled slightly with her coffee, before finally getting a good grip and walking out the door with Callie. She waved a small good-bye to everyone in the shop, then stepped out into the warm sunlight, blinking from the brightness.
“*It’s kinda BRIGHT~ out here, don’t you think, CALLIE????~” Ryllin said, stopping to rub her left eye.
