“Yes, it shouldn’t be a problem so long as I can hear it. The dance is two weeks from now, so have it prepared for me before the week after next week. Okay?” Ms. Vine smiled, and pointed to the calander. “And remember, Goldmyth, Bracelet on Monday.” The blond looked at her stack of papers along the table. “Ah…more work…I have a celebration to plan for tonight…First bonded of twenty-fifteen.” She grinned. “I imagine for this event a nice boat ride to town would be nessicary.” She smiled, “Yes, yes, I do like the sound of that.” Almost as if forgetting her two students were even there Ms. Vine picked up her phone and dialed a number. “Uhh yes, Doyle? I was wondering if I could rent out a hall…”

A dark blur slicked below the surface of the water, emerging along the bank of the lake his feathers slightly ruffled. The small dragon shook his sopping wings before raising his temperature finally causing the water to go up in steam. A smoke filled sneeze caused his sight to blur a bit and slowly drifted landing on a shorter boy near the forest with a owl near his side. “Wizard…And familiar? Bonded, I presume?” He echoed out in a low voice, settling his wings along his side to watch the school. The light out was golden and lovely though it was quite deceivingly cold out, but brought nice color to the leaves that fell orange and yellow.

Ms. Vine moved over to the desk, picking up a brown wooden box with viney carvings along it. “Your bracelet.” She cracked open the box’s lid to reveal the bangle mineral bracelet. “Here, this will restrain your powers when your emotions become too high. It is required you wear it during hours of school.” She put it back in the thin wood box before handing it over to the gold-haired girl. “And a song I hear of? I’d like to hear it first…I’m guessing you plan on performing it?”

“I’m mostly black with dark red markings.” He shrugged, “gold eyes look far more intense, that sort of thing…” Fang grinned a bit. “Since I’m already large normally on the full moon my claws, ears, and teeth just tend to get bigger. I look like something out of a werewolf  Hollywood human movie.”
-
Ms. Vine opened the door to her office smiling at the sight of Goldmyth, “Ah, Goldmyth, fortunate of me to have you come here! I have your bracelet ready to go. Please come right in.”Â

The forest, even in the light of morning, somehow managed to keep its darkness within the trunks of trees and thick leafy branches here. The darkness gave off the uncanny feeling of someone watching…like a lioness coiled lowly staring at their prey from the shadows…the prey inching closer and closer until the lioness was ready to pounce. Of course, one should not feel as so self-conscious about this feeling, as Stephanie Blanc and her familiar had gone missing in those woods, never seen again. That being said it was made quite clear from the beginning of school these woods were warded off from the students of both schools except on planned events, so truly there was nothing to be afraid of.

“I last on my own about 2 days. Although, if others around me don’t shift until like the last day of the cycle I can go a bit longer…I guess it depends on your surroundings.” He shrugged, “When outside with the OTHER forest I don’t make it out the doors of the academy.” He finished the bag off before folding it nicely into a small square. “…What does your wolf look like anyhow?”
-
“Oh, you are a amazing.” He smiled, nodding thankfully before popping the bag open. “Oh? The intercoms? Well…” He sat the bag down on his leg, “They say this school is ‘alive’ and that Ms. Vine as the headmistress is able to bend it’s magic to make announcements and stuff like that.” He popped another one in his mouth, “have you ever notice how you dont get cell-phone reception here, even with a data plan? This school doesn’t like electronics as it supposedly interferes with true magic…You could say the school is a person all in itself.” He shrugged, “On friday the 13th the school really acts up, and doesn’t some crazy stuff. One time the students of this school had to go to the Academy it was acting so weird here.”

“Alright.” Piper shrugged, and stood to throw her plate away and head on out of the Breakfast room. There was a time when familiars and students had sat on the other sides of the room from each other, the tension and shyness nearly throbbing. Now it seemed everyone was talking with one of the well-spoken animals-familiars…Even Goldmyth who upsetted two familiars was happily chatting with Orsin. “Ugh…I gotta get out of here..”
The unseen intercoms rang out today, “Students! Even though today is Friday, a normal school day, considering Goldmyth Commers and Orsin have bonded we will have the day off for the preparation of a celebration tonight! For today marks the day of a new beginning!”
Fang moaned under the loud noise of the intercom that although was muffled from where they were underground, it was still quite loud. “Ms…Vine….” He murmured, elbowing himself up, “…Too…Noisy..” He yawned. “Sleep well?”
-
“Uh…Okay.” The sudden mood change made Piper’s stomach twist. “I was only kidding.” She shrugged, but wasn’t going to let herself feel bad about it. “Whatever, that fruit salad is calling my name…” She winked at Abilard and Liv before moving over to the salad buffet before returning to Liv’s table again. “It’s been weeks, and I have yet to find a familiar myself.” The dark haired girl sighed quietly.
-
“Nice to see you again, and thank you.” Piper nodded thankfully, and shied away from the brilliant shine the two golden ones. “You guys are totally blinding this necromancer with your bright light.” She joked, holding a hand up like she was burning or something.
-
“Different? Not really?” She smiled grabbing a paper coffee cup to pour some cappuccino from a machine and added some foam. “..Wait…you bonded? You’re kidding me! You just met this bear…! Isn’t there like, stranger-danger rules for bonding?” Piper’s cup coffee fell to the floor, and the brown liquid pooled at their feet.
-
“Goldmyth! Heey!” Piper waved at the taller girl, a small grin on her face. “What were you doing last night? You dissapeared after Dinner, and…Well, we all really dissapred after dinner, but…” She scanned the girl with her newly acquired silver eyes, “…You look different!” Piper snapped her fingers, stepping back a bit.
(I’m not trying to brag about Piper’s outfit, Â but its pretty cute and the price isn’t bad! >_<)

“Well, supposedly students come late…This school isn’t exactly easy to find, you know. Especially if your parents aren’t familiar with magic and you haven’t much skill yourself.” She crossed her arms behind her head, moving toward the bacon and meats section that she presumed Liv would be going to. Piper yawned, “Some kids need to have people guide them here…others receive their letters late due to the distance away from this area…which rouses, where is ‘here’? A portal transports us to this ‘state’…’continent’…Is that even what it is?” Her brows furrowed, “As far as I know, the two schools reside on uncharted territory after the Salem Witch Trials…A warded off, separate area almost.”
-
“It’s the bunny! Heey, good morning.” She wiggled her fingers at the brown furred bunny, her silver eyes shining in the torch light halls. The breakfast room was cozy to say the least, but jam-packed full of people so much so some students sat in the halls in separated clicks.
-
“Hmm, come on,” She nudged Liv forward a bit. “Goldmyth was out playing last night…So we should let her sleep…” The raven haired girl dragged the blond out the door, letting the door shut behind them with a click. “And you realize they have bacon down there, right? That’s how those football players get their protein.”
-
Piper threw herself forward, and pointed directly to the clock near the door. “Looks to be 5:20.” She slipped out of the blankets, gritting her teeth. “Cold! Cold.” She scampered off into the bathroom, and came out thirty minutes later dressed and toweling off her hair to pin back the left side with a triangle hair clip. “Okay~! Shall we go get breakfast?” She smiled happily, today sporting silvery-colored contacts. “Yogurt and salad sounds amazing and its good for your diet.”
