“Liv!” Piper’s voice was muffled from where she was somewhere tangled in her duvet and comforter. “It’s…too…early..” Her pale hand flopped out of her mess of a bed.
-
Another groan came to Piper at the sound of the morning announcement. “Good morning, students~! If you had not heard the announcement last night of our two first student and familiar being bonded, then please note it today! The first day we have the only 2015 bonded within our school! Woo-hoo! Also today’s specialty breakfast is a fruit salad and yogurt. Please enjoy.”
-
“Coffee…nice..” He murmured, losing conciseness rather quickly. “Coffee it is.” He yawned, and fell asleep.

(Day 2?) -
“Nice. It’d be cool to do something…Have anything in mind?” He pulled out his cell phone–Yes, he was allowed such luxuries at the Academy. “Its around 3:25…In the morning. We should sleep.” Fang snatched up his pillow, curling his arms around the softness, chin creasing the top before he let himself fall onto his side with a audible thump.
~~
Piper stirred a bit from where she laid at the sound of bear claws against the floor. Grumbling something in her sleep she pulled her pillow over her head although her dark hair pooled out.
-
“Oh. Nice.” He sat back, “I have the academy to worry about…But no problem. How does Saturday sound for you?” He rose a brow, crossing his arms.

“…Best friends already, it would seem,” She murmured into Genie’s fur, stroking back the shaggy locks. “Do you suppose they’ll be that type that are just all sugar and rainbows?” Genie’s soft, high voice, whispered out  a laugh. “I doubt it…It’s unrealistic, unless…” Ms. Vine’s eyebrows rose at the thought. “I certainly hope that is not the case.”
~~
Piper drifted back to sleep slowly.

Aurora was busy icing the stairs boredly.~~
The blue maned wolf was no where to be seen on campus.

Piper rolled over in her bed, yawning at the announcement. “Jeesh…What time is it?” She murmured quietly, staring at the clock that said 3 AM. “Jeesh, at least wait until the breakfast room opens.” She whined, rolling over onto her face to shove her head into the pillow some more, letting out a low moan.
~~
“Ah…yes, I suggest you students get to bed.” She looked at her watch, 3AM. “Clearly that ritual took more time than I had originally thought. For tonight, it would be better if you stayed in your own separate rooms but if you would like to arrange later on to move into a room together that is open for you. However, Goldmyth, I understand that your room already has four members in it. I am sorry to say but we would be unable to squeeze a bear in there, so that means you would be leaving your roommates behind.”
~~
“Aww, come on don’t be shy. You can’t just ask me something like that and then simply pass it off as nothing.” He poked at her side, smirking a bit. “But…I won’t pressure you.” The blood thrived through his veins seemed to get more quick, pulsing throughout his body. The upcoming moon made him feel his inner wolf pacing.

“And lady’s and gentleman!” Her voice boomed across the hallways, all the rooms, to every crevice in the school over the unseen loud-speaker. “We have our first bonded of the year!” Though muffled, clapping could be heard throughout the whole school, and Ms. Vine snapped her fingers, causing the blue mist around her lips to fade, and the candles surronding the newly bonded to blow out with a swirl of smoke around the golden ones. “I am so very proud…Oh, Genie! Hold me!” Ms. Vine had tears running down her face though she smiled, and beckoned her familiar to leap into her arms. Genie did not hesitate for a moment, and wiped the tears away from her partner’s eyes. “Oh, Goldmyth! Orsin! The first bonded of twenty-fifteen! It is said those who bond first of the year are blessed to have a well-made relationship.” She took the hanckerchif Genie dug out of Ms. Vin’s pocket, and blew her nose. “Okay…I need to calm down. You two for the most part, as of today, will begin the main course of bonded training. That means you can have three other classes from the orignal list you chose from, but for the most part–as this is a school of binding–your energy and most of your grades will come from your progress with your bonded. Yes?” She cleared her throat, “After the first bonded others soon bond as well–dont ask me why, but once one bonds they all start popping up until late June! However, the first 1,000 to bond will be a part of the Early Bloomers Bonding Ceremony. 1,000 seems a lot, but in reality it will only take a month or so after the first bonded.” She cleared her throat, “Goldmyth, Orsin, understand that as being the first bonded of this year other students of your year will look up to you for guidance–whether they choose to show it or not. It is your job to set a good example for them!” She said excitedly.

Blaise looked over the DNA samples she had on slides on her telescope, although hopelessly the little germ-like things didn’t make sense. I guess I’m just as useless as my sword in the science… She should have known, but the need to scientifically place the Hybrid in her mind. Science was hard to understand, but if she could place the girl somewhere… “I need someone to test on this…but with the results of this, fire and ice, there’s no telling what someone will do with this information.”
-
“Nope.” Fang said immediately and tugged gently at one of the sacks of herbs over their heads, realizing what she said slowly. “Why do you ask?” He raised  brow, digging in his pocket for a pack of red-hot gum. “Want a stick?” He held it out to her.
~~
“…Very well done.” It was clear, however, Orsin would be the strong-point between the bonded. That concerned Ms. Vine for later, but Goldmyth was able to complete the course, she was able to make his fear evaporate after a long stretch of time, leaving the fire path open to two ropes leading into the center of the circle. Ms. Vine knew, from personal experience, that once he stepped foot in the circle a vision–something she herself could not see–would occur while their auras melded together. Ms. Vine remembered her vision as a whirl and mixing of the most beautiful colors of her life, like the aurora lights swarmed around her with the sounds of nature. Birds, woodchucks, wolves howling, beautiful sounds.
However bonding was a different experience for everyone, but never something they would forget or experience again.

“Well, safe for now it seems.” He dropped her hand reluctantly, looking around the wide cavern. “Alright. Let’s get working.” He spread out the blanket and tossed the pillow on top, putting the snacks nearby.
-
The fire wall blocked Orsin’s path to the circle, sealing his fear before him. “Goldmyth…See what he sees, understand his fear, and help him from it.” Ms. Vine held her breath at the sight…if she could not calm the familiar then all of her pain from before would be lost.
-
“Crap, you okay?” He turned maneuvered himself to face her in the darkness, steadying her by the arms. “Careful down here, the roof is low and there might be potholes…” Concern was quite apparent in his voice and he shook his head, “Here. Give me your hand and follow where my feet go.” He moved all the stuff he had to his other arm and clasped his hand firmly around her. The werewolf was glad she couldn’t see his face in the darkness, as the expression came at the thought of how intimate this could be. “…We shouldn’t get separated down here with the ghosts.”Â
~~
“Very well done, Orsin, it appears you have calmed her to the point that she controlled her fear to the point of vanishing. If only all fears could be dealt so easily, but in a way your fears will be easier to deal with someone bonded to you.” Ms. Vine looked down at her beloved Genie who’s golden fur glinted in the candlelight, her dark eyes taking in the sight of bonding process. Who knows how many times they’d watched this familiar scene? “Goldmyth Commers, if you would please step into the center of the circle and prepare yourself to comfort Orsin in his time of need?”
-
“Yeah. Unusual, huh?” He shook his head, stumbling along to let his fingers run across the brick wall alongside him, nearly falling into the gaping openings that would appear everyonce in a while underneath his fingertips. “Ah…There is our cavern.” He pointed ahead to the faint gold light emitting from a tunnel, however for the most part was swallowed up by darkness.

Blaise waved after the hybrid, “Have fun kidnapping people wreaking havoc…or whatever you do.” She shrugged before turning to climb down the rungs of the ladder again, nearly kicking the side door open to the house. A mousy girl with brown hair–Corina, the cook since no one here could really make food–was blabbering something excitedly about a fight in the streets. “Well…” Blaise didn’t really know what to say to the paid woman, so eventually the brunette flounced off in a shimmer of sparks and laughter out the back door. “She is quite odd.” Blaise rolled her eyes, grabbing an apple from the bowl on the island before retreating up to her room, “Yeah but she makes the best meatloaf in town, so let her place her bets on street fights if she wants.” Biting into the apple Blaise found herself quite pleased that the hybrid had awoken her. Now the firekin girl could test the demi-goddess-demoness DNA. “Alright.” She jogged up the stairs, to her room, finding the swab she’d taken from the white haired girl’s mouth. “Ew…This is boring. I suppose I’ll call it a night.” Pyralis murmured, and his energy died down to a soft humming on her back, throbbing with her heart.

“Auras are energy. Every creature has a an aura…however smaller or lesser creatures–mice, frogs, they have fainter and smaller auras. Since witches are more hyper  aware of their auras they tend to strengthen it, making it last longer and be stronger.” He shrugged. “Also, you have witch blood in you right? That all in itself makes your aura a bit more stronger.” Though the door never appeared to be there, it seemed to shift into focus right before their eyes, that it had always been there but just in a way they couldn’t see it. It made Fang’s eyes hurt witnessing that phenomenon, so he squeezed them shut. “Witchy stuff…Huh. C’mon, the moon isn’t getting any lower.” He opened the door first and slid into the darkness, a sloped walk-way going downward.Â
