“Oh dear. Your parents have been missing for seven years…that must have been extremely stressful. Well, then, I’m sorry it took you so long to get here and I may be able to help your predicament, Miss. Hartfeld, but it will take time. Even if your parents were transformed to werewolves the main tower of witches and wizardry should have some information of their magic usage type on file every other year. Until I can get that information, I will need you to stay at the school as you have become my responsibility. I was fond much of your father and mother, and I’m positive they would not approve of me letting their only daughter out of supervision again.” She tilted her head, “You are the only child, correct? I imagine if you had any siblings they’d be here staring me down with those bright eyes as well.”

“Fantabulous! Now, for mental issues the base ingerdient dragon’s eye, the most insightful ingredient there is for mental issues…” She grabbed twine off the table, running her finger’s across it. “Perfect, here’s the orge’s skin, which will bring strength and power to the block…” She slipped the shiny, green changing to red dragon’s eye on, before moving on to smaller teeth. “And the block will be the tight, mist wolf teeth as you know, they never let go of their pray once snagging it…” She strung the teeth onto the troll skin rope-twine, “And now pixie wings to have a lasting effect…” She strung those on, as well. “Oh! And lavander to bring relief at night.” Daisy slid stud sized pouches of lavender on before tying the bracelet around Lilianne’s wrist. Surpriingly, the dragon’s eye and mistwolf teeth were smooth, and the pixie’s wings like paper. “Now we seal it.” She murmured, powering energy into the bracelet with her eyes closed to help hold the bracelet together for a long time, and also dumping her peace of mind–of not hearing voices constantly–into the bracelet. “Okay!” She smiled, opening her dark eyes again, and when she finished a tingling feeling should have run up Lillianne’s arm, to her head where it would have numbed the voices down to nothing. “Now look at this every time you hear voices–which it should wear off every half an hour when conscious, and the effects should take place again of being free of other’s thoughts.”

Blaise looked at the Cold-one blankly, and as if Pyralis saw the wheels turning in her head he grunted, “Don’t even try it, Blaise. He’s protected by the Hybrid. Besides, our main objective here is to get this damned thing off your wrist. It’s aura is starting to interfere with my connection with you, and is pissing me off.” Blaise looked down at her wrist and frowned. She never did like jewelry, and this piece especially was not her favorite. “Right.” She looked back at the cold one, quite frustrated at the predicament of being caught. And shamelessly, mockingly, stuck her tongue out at him making a face before spinning on her heel and huffing off grumbling.

(How about Aurora? She’s not that big either although I cannot remember her room number for the life of me.)

Claude laughed, patting the girl’s back sympathetically. “Well, you can finally kiss those days good-bye, Lilianne.” She frowned, “And I never seen the point in shrinks. If you ask me, it’s just humans subconciously trying to take the place of medics of witches’ potions, charms, and other healing tonics. ” They stopped at a room that had a gate instead of a door with vines with pretty flowers woven around the iron bars. Ms. Claude pushed the small gate open to a classroom with rows of long brown tables rather than seperate desks, and a few steps up a fancy caldrun that looked like a dragon’s hand and a work bench painted bright yellow. Miss. Daisy hummed as she came from the back room, holding a cardboard box of bottles filled with…things. The younger, almost teen-looking, woman smiled brightly at the sight of Ms. Claude and Lilianne. “Come in, come iiin! What’s shaking, ladies? Here for a beauty charm? Oh, but why might I ask? Your both already so beautiful.” She sat the box down, flipping her wavy ginger hair to show off her doe brown eyes.
“Actually, Miss. Daisy, we’re hear for a charm that will stop voices from entering this young student’s head. I know you have something for illusionists accidentally manifesting things, I imagine you have something that can help her?” Miss. Daisy tilted her head before looking at Lillianne. “Come here, fair girl! Together you and I will make this.” She giggled, opening her arms toward Lilianne and squeezing her hands open and shut as if the most excited to be of help.

“Name? Board?” Her interest peaked when she heard ‘witch and wizard’. One of mine, then, she thought referring to her race. Now things were personal. “Julia and Quinn, was it? Ah…Let me see here, she beckoned to one of the scrolls and had it drift into her open awaiting hand. “Julia…and Quinn…There’s Julia Blackmore and Quinn Blackmore, both graduated at different years, but…um…Julia Redwood and Quinn Redwood. Oh, but that was a long time ago I doubt they have any children. Julia Hartfeld and Quinn Hartfeld attended here, I’ll have to look deeper to see if they graduated…”

Ms. Claude smiles, “Well that’s what we call ‘wild powers’. You’ll need to learn how to control them, I can put you into tutoring with someone, although I need to find someone who masters the subject…Pleas follow me. For now, we’ll need to find an alternative so you won’t go bonkers.” She laughed. “We’ll take you down to Miss. Daisy to get a charm for you. I’m sure she will have something that will ease your mind and block the voices out. You know, I understand how you feel a bit. I am an illusionist, so there were times when I would manifest my own nightmares accidentally. It gets better, don’t worry, you just need to stop ignoring these powers and dominant them.”

(Familiar rooms will be shared with other familiars unless they’re very large animals and require the space. However, when bonded they have the option to move in with their bonded.)

Ms. Claude looked over her shoulder where Ms. Vine had taken the girl in. “…No, all of my students problems are important. Ms. Vine as the headmistress should know all needed for her. I just work as the co-headmistress. The replacement, if you will.” The dark haired woman sat her coffee down. “Now what’s this of voices? Have you always heard voices, or is this something new?”
~~
“In the natural realm you have every reason to startle. But within these walls, things are different. Now, your name is up there and across from it your room number.” She said, referring to the scroll. “It’s all blurry for me since I’m far-sighted, so what does it say?”
-
“I dunno. He seems to be enjoying it quite a bit.” She smiled, at Zebain. “Come over and see. Ooh! That flower is actually pretty in your hair. Maybe for the winter ball you could wear flowers in your hair. Silver ones, maybe…” She pondered, plucking another dandelion and huffing at it.

The headmistress opened the door to her office to see a shorter silvery-gray haired in front of her, looking defiant. Ms. Vine immediately noticed that the features and aura this girl gave off were not that of a witch’s. So what was she doing here? “Your parents? Miss, unless your parents are witches and wizards they shouldn’t be here.” She said doubtfully, but Genie, her gold-haired monkey familiar, hopped off her shoulder and landed on the ground between the two. “Come on, Clarissa, hear the child out. With good reason we can both see she is quite distressed.” Ms. Vine’s eyes scanned the girl before she smiled a bit, “I’m sorry dear. Today’s been a long day with the excitement of students choosing classes. Come in,”

She pulled the hybrid girl up, and could feel Pyralis’ judgment, even if she never could see him. “You always were someone who gave in too easily to the guilt. Where did I ever go wrong?” Blaise promptly ignored her blade and rolled her shoulders back. “So there you have it. Firekin are out there that want to be a part of your…Community…” She looked around at the houses, her gold-red eyes lingering on the Cold-kin’s, before bringing them back to the hybrid’s identical golden eyes. “…But I’m not one of them. In my world, there is no peace that you look for. In my world there is the Firekin and the Cold-ones and the differences we have. We’re as different as night and day, ice and fire, the moon and the sun, good and evil. Firekin and Cold-ones will always duke it out, like the laws of nature tells us to do. So in a way, there is a peace in this.” She tilted her head, examining Eni. “I Wonder where you fit in.” The redhead shrugged, turning to walk off. “Not that it matters. If you’re real then its natural, I guess,” She held up the arm-warmer ice bracelet thing. “Thanks for the gift, but I’ll find and elder’s fire to zap it off.”

Ms. Claude opened her door, a cup of coffee in hand and her hair pulled back highly into a bun. She looked surprised at first at the sight of Lilianne but immediately stepped aside with a smile. “You don’t look so good. Want some coffee or something?”

Delilah shook her head at both familiars. “Come night, snake, and you will be ready for bed and seeking my services…” She huffed out a sigh before looking up to Ignis fluttering wildly about. “Be calm. It is strictly against the rules here for familiars to eat one another. If I had wanted to, I could have just very well eaten you myself. Now come down, please, Mr. Swift.”

“He says he likes to be patted on the head and a few good scratches. I don’t think he cares who does them…” She edged over, a smile coming to her face as she smoothed the fur back from Zebain’s neck and across his back. Not too far back, though, as she remembered her cat’s sensitive hips at home. “So soft…especially for someone who lights their hair on fire. Come on, that can’t be good for split ends.” She looked up at Goldmyth and smiling. “You know you want to pet him.”

“The arctic fox from last night, now the wolf we’re really on a roll here.” She said under her breath, “Mr. Wolf–is it okay if I call you that? I mean I don’t know your name, but–Ok! Staying focused here. Could me and my friend here interest you in some meat from the cafeteria? To say sorry?”
-
“We’re really sorry, Mr. Wolf! My friend here is just having magical difficulties.” She laughed nervously, standing up and waving her hands.
-
“Goldmyyth!” Piper hissed between her gritted teeth. “Don’t make Mr. Wolf upset. He could eat us as like, a appetizer or something, you’re so risky-” She cut herself off, her eyes narrowing at the gold haired girl and a smile forming on the darker haired girl’s lips. “You’re a risk taker. Perfect.”

“Just as expected. England and Scotland aren’t too far apart, weather is prone to be the same.” She leaned over and plucked a dandelion, loosing her balance in doing so and landing on her stomach. Giggling a bit, she blew away the seeds and watched them float off, where they drifted on the wind and danced across a wolf’s nose. “…Oooh. A grey wolf. They are pretty, deadly, creatures. Shame I don’t know much about them.” She said, propping her head by her elbow and examining the oblivious asleep wolf shamelessly.
-
(By now, yeah.) “Ooor we can just sit here and enjoy the nice weather. Back in England it’s always so foggy, ya know? You ought to know what I mean, Liv. You came from Scotland yeah?” She hopped down in front of the bench, folding her legs off to the side of her. “What’s it like there? Foggy too?”
-
“I’ll go.” Piper shrugged. She would be excited for classes tomorrow, when they’d actually be able to sharpen their skills like a blade. “Have something in mind?”

The bonded ceremony is more so of an announcement that two are bonded (which is almost physically noticeable for witches as they’re hyper sensitive to auras and so on). To actually bind yourself to someone can happen 3 different ways.
The Old fashioned way when a familiar and student are very connected and spend so much time together they ’accidentally’ bond. They can tell, however, that they’ve bonded by feeling an astral connection between them. Bonded’s auras also tend to overlap or mesh together and stretch between the space they’re apart (hence as to why telepathy works long distances with bonded).
2. The familiar and student consciously decide they want to be bonded and go to the headmistress who will bind them. However, binding does not always work as ”the old fashioned way” was how binding happens naturally. If two are not compatible in binding, their auras will reject each other and the process will be broken. (Just to make it lore friendly that witches or familiars dont choose their bonded. I think a lot of people will go the old fashioned way, though.)
3. The witch or familiar independently bind themselves together through an ancient, unknown spell shared between them. This usually occurs in souls of witches and familiars that have been bonded in past lives.
NOTE: When a witch and Familiar binds its not uncommon for the familiar or witch to see lights, the astral plains, have tingly body parts, or witness their auras melding together.
