The man sighed, before stepping aside. “Everyone is looking for that these days, it seems, come in.” He said to the man, motioning him to follow. “What’s wrong with just being a grocery bagger or something normal?” He asked aloud, leading him down the hall to a room guarded.
-
A servant came to the door dressed in black slacks and loafers, his gray hair slicked back and spectacles straight on his nose. “Yes, sir?” He asked the man who had ended up on the Zimbalti’s door step. “How may I help you?”
Bonnie turned to leave the room, yawning a bit. “I will have to guard myself against my body guard. How amusing.” She did smile a bit before slipping out the door without a good bye.
-
“Did you really think you were going to be sleeping the same room as me?” She asked, amusement in her voice but face bare.
-
“This way.” She led him upstairs to where the rooms were and into a guest bedroom. It was nice. Large and simple. “Here you are.”
-
She clicked off the light before yawning a bit. “A bath and some tea before heading to bed.” She decided before moving to go to her room. “Oh.” She turned around and looked at him. “Would you like me to lead you to the guards barracks?”
-
She frowned, “What have I been doing wrong? Last week was just a coincidence.” She looked up at him, sighing, “Consider this a dismal by me.” She nodded curtly, moving to usher him out. “Come. My work is done for the night.
-
She blinked, surprised. “Oh. That position is not needed, I am perfectly fine of protecting myself.”
-
Bonnie looked over at him, “What position has my mother assigned you as body guard?”
-
Bonnie said nothing, continuing to scrub her hands. “Clean up the mess.”
-
“Your wish.” She shrugged, a few strands of hair falling over her shoulder. “Once again, not my decision.” She walked over to the sink to clean up.
-
“Who is it?” She asked quietly, and the man sputtered some words out desperately and faintly. A few moments later she seemed pleased of his answer and looked over to Jack. “Get him down from the chair and leave him for the guards outside.” The man looked up fearfully. “You said you would stop! You would make it stop!” He shouted like a maniac. “I did. No more pain will come to you from me.” She looked over to Jack again. “Come on now, this is not my job. Put him outside for the guards to deal with. Their choice to let him live or not.” She motioned him forward, and her sleeve fell back revealing a large white scar.
-
“He’s a…personal proeject.” She said finally, looking her mother in the eye. “Mother, if I could speak with Jack alone? I don’t think your lovely radiance is helping the man’s consciousness.” Her mother smirked at her before turning up the stairs, waving a hand. “Don’t play with too many of theses kinky toys, kids,” She smiled before banging the door shut. Bonnie looked at Jack before trotting over to the wheel and raising the man up. “I’ll tell you everything.” He gasped.
-
“Oh, hopefully they are good? Bonnie! Pay attention to what you’re doing.” Snapped Mary and Bonnie turned over to throw the wheel back, causing the man to come sputtering and blue in the face from the lack of oxygen. “Please! Please, I’ll tell you!” He said once he got a few breaths in, but she shook her head before dunking him once more. Crossing her arms she looked to her mother. “He’s almost broken.” She elbowed the tank where the man thrashed and screamed through mists of bubbles.
-
She giggled like a school girl before taking his arm. “We shall.” Though she had the image of a delicate creature she nearly dragged him to a door that led down into the darkness. “Please follow me.” She smiled, tugging him down the stairs into a chamber of many devices; stretchers and mace’s, a chair of spikes, and a man sat upside down strapped into a chair. And there was Bonnie, beside him, whirling a wheel that let slack go to a chain. The man screamed bloody murder as he went back under water. “Bonnie dear!” Her mother cooed, and Bonnie looked over her shoulder, turning to look at her mother. “Oh. I see Jack has passed.” She said, wiping her hands onto a towel, seemingly not caring or noticing the blood splashed across her button up shirt.
-
She clapped her hands together. “What ambition! Very well. Go to Bonnie, she should be wandering around the house. Probably in the basement. Here, *I* will take you there.” She flounced over to the door waiting expectantly for him to do a gesture.
