“I know, now be quiet.” Odysseus’ irises flash red, then white, as he presses a button on the monitor. The room begins to shake slightly, and the slab vibrates beneath Jack. “Ok. SAL, monitor his vitals, and increase power and frequency gradually.” The whole room, and the air inside it seems to pulse, and the effects reach the others above.

Odysseus grabs Jack by the shoulder and lifts him to his feet. “Get up, Superman. Come with me.” Odysseus leads Jack to the center of the dome, and presses a button at the central of the floor. Rooms rise up from the floor in a honeycomb pattern, containing all sorts of device and technology, and Odysseus yells to the group, “Don’t touch anything unless you know what it is. This place is dangerous, and we don’t need anyone altering local physics!” The floor then begins to recede beneath Odysseus and Jack, as they are lowered into a large chamber covered in various wires, and filled with an eery glow. In the middle is an array of computer and holographic monitors, as well as an angled, smooth black slab. It resonates slightly with the room. “That Kubrite. Immense harmonic sensitivity. Lay down.” Odysseus lays Jack down on the slab, and Odusseus’ hands shake slightly. “This shouldn’t hurt… Too much.” Odysseus goes to the monitors, and glances at some data.

Odysseus sits in the cockpit of the Andros, sipping a cup of tea, and begins the descent to his Chiron facility. He pulls through the icy clouds, crossing speedily over the relatively tranquil water, until he reaches a point where the water is completely still. He then allows the ship to hover, before slowly descending beneath the surface, and as his ship touches the water no ripples are sent across its surface. The place gives an uneasy feeling to the entire crew. Eventually, they enter a large circular honeycomb-glass dome, moving into an airlock and then a landing pad. Odysseus speaks over the ship-wide intercom, “Thank you for flying Air Odysseus. We hope you enjoyed your time here with us, and look forward to serving you again. Now get out. Sorry, that was rude of me. Please. Get out.” Odysseus lowers the boarding ramp for the others, and sits in the ship for a moment, finishing his tea. He then steps off the ramp, and the LED lights come on lightly throughout the facility, as the entire place still has that… wrong feeling, as though it were unnatural. “Jack, come with me to the MedBay! I need to check your vitals.”

Odysseus returns from the Annabelle, disconnects the docking tube, and navigates the ship rapidly away as the Annabelle suddenly explodes from Geralt’s planned self-destruct sequence. Odysseus then finds Jack in the medbay, and his eyes flash red for a moment. “Time to go back to bed, buddy.” Odysseus punches Jack in the face, electrocutes him with his batons, knocking him out, and straps him into a medpod. “You’re not quite healed yet. I’m sorry, but we’re almost to my facility.” Odysseus seals Jack safely into the pod, and goes to individually find the others.

Odysseus avoids Andaluza’s warning shot, and slams the lever down, reversing and then spinning the polarity of the artificial gravitational field. As the ships spin, everyone inside is thrown into the nearest wall, as all concepts of up and down are gone. “Haha!” Odysseus pulls out his electrified batons, and electrocutes Andaluza across the face, running and leaping onto him from the ceiling above, knocking into him, and sending both of them flying into the Annabelle on account of the shifting gravity.

Odysseus glances at the monitor, and sees that Andaluza has boarded the Annabelle. “Kika, strap in Jack! Things are about to get bumpy.” Odysseus reroutes some wiring between the Annabelle and his ship, and then grabs the artificial gravity gyroscopic functions, holding the lever hesitantly.

Odysseus pulls alongside Geralt’s ship, and docks with it. “Geralt, you need to manually push the shields to full capacity on your ship! I’ve always wanted to do this!” Odysseus runs to the cockpit of his ship, and grabs the wheel, searching for Andaluza’s ship on the monitors. Odysseus then sends the two attached ships into a corkscrew, spinning Geralt’s ship on the outer arc.

Odysseus hears Geralt signaling him, and opens a channel. He looks at the sensors, seeing Andaluza’s ship. ”Ok. Geralt, we are dropping out of hyperspeed. You do the same.” Odysseus considers his weapons systems, and decided that Andaluza’s ship is too quick to attempt to fire at. “Hey, Geralt… How do you feel about dangerously stupid plans?”

(Apollo, didn’t I teleport you to Geralt’s ship?)

“Honestly? Jack was a reckless idiot who tried to invade Midzog’s base with a person whom he could barely and shouldn’t trust.” Odysseus looks up at Faye and mouths ‘No offense’. “He got captured, and experimented on.”

“Technically, Geralt shot Jack in the head… But Midzog was the one who brainwashed Jack and removed his immortality before he sent him to kill us. So Midzog is to blame. But don’t worry. We are getting Jack back.”

Odysseus opens a communication to Geralt’s ship, which Apollo is now on, and speaks to Apollo. “Would you like the technical or the right answer to that question?”

(Funny that you do the O thing, because that was what we did in the former RP for a while too.) Ozymandias turns to Apollo, his red eyes fading, and Odysseus sees Apollo and smiles. ”Hello, old friend. When did you get here? No matter… Jack is dying. Well, dead. But we are going to bring him back… We flying to one of my secret facilities to aid in that effort. Now, Geralt needs some company.” Odysseus attaches a pin to Apollo and suddenly Apollo is teleported between ships, standing besides Geralt. “We will arrive there in three hours.” Odysseus returns to Jack’s body, tending to it.

“Because we need him. I’ve lived for millions of years my dear, and it all gives a person one thjng. Perspective. Jack is a tool, just like Midzog is now a broken tool. Midzog wishes to do this to people.” Ozymandias gestures to the tendrils. “To manufacture a world based upon power. Absolute control. To sway the masses. But his vision is insufficient. He has no concept of the true nature of the Universe, and how trivial even a million years of reign are. Because eventually, he must fall. It is the spur of necessity, the weaving of inevitability. He doesn’t know who is to blame. That is why we must fight the gods. They are the cruel tyrants of us, enslaving us to death and tragedy and LOSS!” Ozymandias is overcome by rage for a moment, as small sparks flash across his armor. He stops for a moment, and then resumes, “I want a better world. A fair world. Fundamentally, Midzog can never do that. He can only perpetuate the evils of this one.”

Ozymandias forcibly removes the transceiver from his suit, and throws it into the engine dispenser, destroying it in the radioactive exhaust. “Interesting that he said Odysseus, but of course he would over a deep-space communication… Those are always scanned. Odysseus will be very confused when he wakes up… Midzog knows that he can’t place a bounty on my head directly, or the men would turn on him. But Odysseus is a viable target, since none of them know our dual natures. And if he gets rid of him, he hopes to get rid of me. Genius…” Ozymandias returns to Jack, filling a strange metallic liquid into the gaping hole in his head.
