-Karkat looked right into her eyes and said, “When the blood touched in my veins… All I wanted to do was rip apart every living thing that moved… It was horrible… When I saw Dave’s face… I wanted to kill him… Just because he was there… When I saw Gamzee… When I saw Sollux… When… When I saw Jake…. I wanted to rip them apart… and the more they got hurt in the fight… the more I wanted up to tear apart all of them… Carolus included… I wanted everything to die…” He had tears coming out and he shivered a bit, “I don’t want to ever feel that again… but I’d of chosen that over Jake dying…” He dug his nails into the palms of his hands, the red going down over them.-

-Karkat came out of his curled up heap as she spoke and seemed to want to talk. “He offered him power… Didn’t say how… didn’t say about the blood. He just strapped him down and did it…” He was choking up, “Then he found me and did the same… He put Fuchsia in me… But… Dave… Jake… Gamzee… They overexerted themselves just to change it back… I would have given up my blood if I could have… just so they wouldn’t have gotten so hurt… The pain though… The different blood.. to come so close to death and be brought back by different blood… it… really burned… it still does… I think there might still be a few drops in my system… I don’t see how he can live with himself… or why he doesn’t get it changed back…”-

-Karkat shook his head and said, “No, I just… I felt horrible things when we were there… I know what happened and between everything… I can’t make any sense of it…” He tried to tuck his head into his little ball then, his nubby horns poking his arms.-

-Gamzee nodded but checked it again anyways. The depth appeared to be the same but he didn’t feel the internal pain anymore. Karkat looked at her and smiled a little, “for what?” He curled up into a tight little ball, bristles tickling his shoulder.-

-Jane stepped in and used her healing for all of a couple of seconds before leaving again. Gamzee chuckled a bit at that and smiled while she was there. The second Jane left, the smile faded and he tried to scoot himself back down, still in pain. He moved to place his finger in the wound again, wanting to see if it patched up any.-

-Gamzee looked at his finger and saw purple up to his first knuckle. He decided when she went to go seek healing to put his finger back in the whole way to the bottom of the wound, grunting at the pain then pulled it back up. He looked at his blood nearly reaching the knuckle on his hand. He wiped it off on one of the towels to make it look like he didn’t place it back in again, so he left the blood from the first knuckle to the tip of his finger. Jane looked at her and said, “He should be healing fine, he is a clown. But if you insist I will do a little more. Which is his room?”-

-Gamzee looked at her and said, “I didn’t smile in the fight… I tried to save him… I should have died instead… Or with even… but… Do you know how deep?” His mind was foggy, hiding a cough from what little of the gas he inhaled. Despite hiding the cough, a small trickle of purple blood flowed from the corner of his mouth. He again forced himself to smile but it was feeling too bad, leaving him straight faced as he placed his hand onto his wound, sticking his finger into one of the marks just to judge its depth.-

-Gamzee gritted a bit at the being cleaned up. He was patient though, keeping his rage from the pain down and away. He looked at her and said, “We are all a motherfuckin mess. Have you noticed something, Casi?” He pointed to himself forcing a smile. “The second I lose this, the moment I am not a clown, that will be my death.” He chuckled a bit and said, “It’s mortherfuckin fun to laugh at death, so why ever stop?”-

-Gamzee heard the knock and said, “Come right on in. I can’t exactly move too motherfuckin well.” He tried to sit up but it hurt his eventually to be scars a little, causing him to grunt. “Only need one thing to be alright, that’d be a motherfuckin miracle.” He smiled honestly.-

-Dirk moved to gently place a hand on her shoulder and said, “Why don’t you check on the others that went on that mission? I will go figure out what to do with the body. Then meet me back here.” He got up and went to go deal with Jake’s body, maybe take the wraps off it because they weren’t really needed now. He also wanted to examine the wound.-

-Dirk took a deep breath and said, “Sollux should be able to. I could ask him to do something rash but I don’t know if it would work. So, just ask him to preserve it. If he can’t, probably Jane.” He couldn’t lock his mind onto which would be better. “If anything… a freezer if they can’t.” He was still computing the options.-

-Dirk smiled and felt accomplished. He held her close and couldn’t stop smiling. He’d completely forgot he didn’t have his shades still. He just wanted to hold his precious daughter and keep her safe forever.-

-Dirk smiled to her and said, “I would love to spend the rest of my life making up for leaving you all alone, just so we don’t have to be anymore. Just know… I will have to head out from time to time to kill Cherubs. I am the second in command in the human groupings…” He gently kissed her forehead in a fatherly fashion. He wanted to make her feel wanted.-

-Dirk held her tight and fought back tears. He didn’t want to cry anymore about it. It hurt but he wanted to be a father for her now. He stroked her hair and just let her cry. She needed to get it out and he knew it.-

-Dirk just kept holding her tight and whispered, “We’ve lived for a long time… It is time to face what comes. I should have seen it coming. But I thought I would be your guardian. I wanted to be. But, it’s alright.. He will be an amazing sprite for you… You will never be lost. He will always be with you even.” He gripped her tight, not wanting to say what came into his mind next. He wanted to keep happy thoughts.-
