Quick note: This rp wasn’t idea alone. Ceder had proposed an idea like this to me a while ago, yet he wasn’t able to work on it much due to other obligations. I feel he has just as much claim to this idea as I do.

My name is Robert Maximilian. Before the civil war broke out, I was a inventor of sorts. I created plasmids in the underground, unknown to Andrew Ryan and his thugs. I had found a way to create an unlimited supply of atom without the need of the little sisters. It seems that if one were to place the slugs in a damp environment with a special mixture of my own creation, they would reproduce like jack rabbits. Unfortunately, when the civil war broke out, many of my customers became aggressive splicers and raided my shop. I lost the recipe for the slug solution, but was able to get away with two plasmids I had been working on: Electrokinesis and a special self generating Eve plasmid. Now I how a new objective in this war torn utopia, survive.

The sword sinks into Grulorn’s neck, yet instead of spewing a fountain of blood, a stream of darkness started to exit the wound. “Watch out, if you are exposed to that you’ll be infected” I yelled.

Grulorn, after seeing his army fall into disarray, yells at the top of his lungs and charges towards me. I throw a couple of acid vials at him hoping to slow him down. As soon as they hit his skin, the acid started to eat away at his flesh bit by bit. Believing that he had been defeated I head over to the mysterious stranger to introduce myself and to thank him or her for helping me. Right when I’m about to talk I hear a deranged yell coming from Grulorn’s vicinity. I turn around to find a new horror awaiting me. Grulorn had slowly been integrating the surrounding infected into his body in order for him to survive the acid. The beast that now stood before bared no resemblance to any creature found on Earth, a visage of the Darkness’s true form.

I wake up bright and early hoping to get a jump on my training, yet I then notice the letter on the floor. I read it to my self and then get a brilliant idea. I search through my stuff and pull out a flask of rose tinted liquid. The liquid was created through mashing the petals of the rainbow flower when the petals turned pink. The only reason I thought of this was that when I happened upon a grove of these flowers, injured animals would wait til the petals turned pink and would ingest them. Soon after their wounds would begin to heal rapidly. I had tested the liquid a few times on myself, only with minor injuries of course, yet I had a hunch that this could help Melody with her malady. I walk up to Melody’s door and knock saying “Melody, I have something that might help your cold.

(Out of character, sorry about the grammar mistakes in my last post. I was a bit tried when I typed it.)
I noticed the mysterious stranger knocking out fallen one by one, and decide to use pacifying techniques as well. I grab a flask out of my pouch. In it contained a slurry of herbs and crushed fungal spores that when exposed to air created a powerful knockout gas. “Cover your mouth” I yelled. I then threw the flask onto the ground knowing that while this would work on the infected, Grulorn would just blow it off as it were no more than a petty fog. -
I avoided the forest route for fear of feral animals infected with the Darkness, yet in doing so I inadvertently cut through a town brimming to the teeth with humans infected with it. Their bodies mangled and twisted, what once were human figures were now corrupt piles of writhing flesh trying to survive. The first of their pack notices me, a scout that at one time was most likely a young girl at one time, yet was now a feral beast with sharp teeth, purple skin, and pure white. The scout lets out a loud screech alerting others of my presence. More of her kind appear, those who have completely fallen, yet then I see the very thing I did not wish to see on this journey, a Medium. While on the surface a Medium my appear to be human being, it is an infected that has learned to control the Darkness for its own purposes. Some are benign and have greatly helped with your research, yet this one appears to be a cutthroat, a brutish man with animal skins and knives adorning his muscular body, who was lucky enough to have the magical heritage to be resilient to the full affects of the Darkness. What’s worse is that it appears that will he may have control of his body, his mind appears to have fallen to the Darkness’s whims. ” I am Grulorn, and you are our dinner.” Grulorn then bares his rotten teeth and releases a fierce battle cry to signal the Fallen to attack. This isn’t going to be an easy fight.

As Crystal Kerrase begins her journey, a young man begins his journey to the capital. His name is Xavier Cryptix, an aspiring alchemist trying to find a way to cure those infected with the Darkness. He is entering the tournament to receive the money needed to begin his research. He is a master with potions, elixirs, poisons, acids, and other combative alchemy forms.

I walk over to where Miku and luka are talking after noticing there looks of duress after Melody’s amazing displays of magic. I ask them “Is there something with Melody and does it have to deal with all the magic she has been using? I then point to the meter Miku is trying to hid from me. “Does that have something to do with it?”

“I’ll have some rice balls and shrimp with cherry cola if you have it please.”

“NO WAIT” I try to warn the stranger, but it was too late. Borong had charged fast in appearing to want to rip apart the stranger, however mid flight he shifted his form and placed a relic on his target. He then muttered in the dark tongue a spell of stealing. “Your power shall now be mine, hahahahaha” the crazed warlock uttered. I watch in horror as the stranger’s form is slowly stripped from him and given to Borong. “Soon, all you are shall belong to me” Knowing the situation is getting out of hand, I begin uttering an advance lightning spell. The crafty druid notices me and says “If you kill me, the spellslinger dies as well.” “You’re wrong” I finish my spell and it is then the druid realizes what it truly is. “It can’t be, it can’t be” Those were the last words he uttered as the spell Ragnarok, spell of divine lightning, obliterated him.
Being a spell of divinity, the dark magic resides and the relic shatters. I walk over to the stranger to see if he is ok, but I’m left with a shocked spectacle. The man, while having all his powers still, had been changed to a human visage with a few exceptions. He still had dog ears and a tail. -
Overhead, I, a young man by the name of Gregory, wait for the battle to subside. I know that while the soldiers merely kill the beast out of revenge they do not know that wolf itself is one of Jared’s old followers. The story from what I have heard is that a seer forsaw the end of Jared’s forces, yet only let the inner council know about this. Before she could tell the others about her vision, the warlock Zazik cut out her vocal chords as decision through the council. Zazik then forced the young seer to leave the group, thus assuring others of her “guilty” for wronging the council. The forces attacked the kingdom and were slain as foretold, however, the five members of the inner council withdrew from the battle before it even began. They then went their separate ways to stake out their own place in the world. The only reason I know this story is that my mother was the seer in the story. While she could not tell anyone directly about the story, she could communicate with me through a sort of blood line telepathy. Through it, she was able to help me with my magical training. After she died, I vowed to hunt down Zazik and put him through the same pain that he endured onto my mother. Killing the dire wolf will be a start for he is the lowest of the inner council. Borong was a master in the druid arts when he was in Jared’s armies, a benefit to his injured allies, but a soul less beast to his enemies. It seems that beast part has taken over him now. I sit in wait to see if my help is needed.

After I study the ancient tomes for a bit, I hear the dinner bell, head to my room to get change, and rush to the dining room. All of the excitement of the day had left me famished. Once in the dining room, I thank Melody for the wonderful meal. I then remembered something important. I quickly return to my room, scarfing a sushi roll on the way up, and grab one of the plant containers. I then rush back down to the dining room and apologize for my rude behavior, but I remembered that I had a gift for Melody. I hold out the plant container. Inside it was a lone flower which at first glance wouldn’t seem special, yet when observed closely it slowly changes colors from red to orange to yellow and so on and so forth until it rotates through the entire light spectrum. “It’s a flower I found on one of my travels. It appears to change which types of light it absorbs and reflects to change its color. Furthermore, it’s petals have different properties based on which color they are plucked and they are easily replaced when plucked. I haven’t messed around with it much, but maybe you can figure out its secrets.”

Since it appears Melody is still cooking dinner, I decide to test out this new sword. Before I came here, I believed that magic was just fictional nonsense. However, ever since I stepped through the doors of the castle, I knew that there were things I didn’t even know about. While walking to the weapons room, I start to think about all the new types of weapons I could make. The possibilities are enough to make my head to explode, metaphorically. Once in the training room, I slice a couple dummies in half and watch as they turn into piles of blossoms. Satisfied I have mastered this weapon, I head back to see if dinner is ready and to see if their is a library with books on enchanting.
