Alina shook Thomas’ hand “Nice to meet ya.” She gave a smile “So, excited for classes in… Two days?”

“Water did that..? Wow…” Alina took a step away from the group, now seeing first hand what she thought was once harmless can do “Remind me not to go scaring people.”

“Wow. All bandaged up like that the first day? This magic stuff IS crazy… Im Alina by the way. Fire… Thing. Fire user sounds like a drug… Heh… Yo, want some fire? I got da good stuff.” She went into a small giggle fit before earning another spark from her fingers “Wait, is that a thing?”

“Ah.” Alina took a moment to try and process what Aubrey may be like based on what shes seen so far and her magic. She quickly drew a blank, then went back to talking “I can only do the fire thing.”

“Oh thats cool. I now have an incentive to bug people other than to not be bored now.” Alina smiled “Anyway, i think all my school ish related questions are out of the way. So… Whats your thing?”

“Oh. So, is some magic more dangerous than other kinds? I imagine a bit of water wont exactly be scarier than a raging fire. Or can they like compress water into spikes? Ohhhmygosh thatd be cool.” Alina giggled a bit, then cleared her throat to try and compose herself “Hehe… Sorry… Im a bit hyper.”

“Oh. Cool.” Alina smiled softly as her mind wandered around what could be possible with her magic. She quickly got back to the current situation and asked “You said you were a permanent resident, right? Is the whole magic thing fun to you?”

After a second of processing what Aubrey said, she managed to piece together the question “Yeah. I was just a little late and didnt quite get the school’s hallways down.” Alina gave a smile
