Yea so, this is my first time doing something like this as well. The basis for the story seemed so interesting though that i thought i should give it a try.

Nickname: Starch/Starchy (whichever feels more comfortable or natural to the person saying it.)

Race: Human & Demi-human mix.

(I say demi-human so that it’s flexible to say either half-elf or he’s mutated. It all depends on if other people want elves or not.)

BIO:

Those who call him Starchy do so because of his background and his appearance. Living inside the education district means that most people expect you to behave yourself and act prim and proper.

Physically, Jacob is lacking in motor coordination, strength, and fitness. Mentally though, he has a sharp wit, quick mind, and mildly courageous heart. Having demi-human DNA, he is slightly more in-tune with magic and magical properties.

He has no formal self-defense training and has no fighting experience aside from the stupid rumbles he used to get into with his older brother.

At a young age he was bullied for his pointy ears and abnormal skin color. Because of this harassment he tried to cut off the tips of his ears in an attempt to look normal but only succeeded in cutting the top of his right ear before passing out from pain.

Has a bad habit of doing the opposite of what he’s ordered to do whether he likes the idea or not. Even if what he is told to do doesn’t conflict with any of his moral ideologies, if he didn’t come up with it or give himself his part, he doesn’t wanna do it.

Usually wears a zip-up hoodie, it’s a small way to show his rebellious nature. He wishes he could change his ears so that they weren’t so pointy, this is always a sore spot for him.

Even if he hasn’t ever met his father, he holds no strong desire to meet the man. As far as he is family relationships go, Jacob has known no other way to look at families so he has no standards on what a normal family should be like. While his mother has been out of the house most of the time since the magical incident in Wessel, returning only ever to sleep or grab some materials from her study.

His brother, Grigory, now 24 years of age, had always had a strong sense of responsibility and held in high esteem by his teachers due to his brothers intelligence. While Grigory is rather shy and humble and attributes his good scores to his heightened sensibilities to magic, Jacob knows better than that and knows just how hard his brother works. Grigory is one of the few people Jacob allows to give him any orders.

His mother and older brother earn income from one of the many new institutes researching the properties of magic and their applications.

He reads books in his free time if he is stuck in the apartment. If he finds a way to slip past everyone without them noticing though, he’ll venture out into the other districts.

Pet Peeves: He can’t stand people who attack the weak. But he also can’t stand it when the weak don’t stand up for themselves. Hates the sound of grinding teeth.

Loves spicy foods and likes the occasional oriental and mexican style dish. Doesn’t like traditional Peterman or Ques cuisine. Likes coffee with no creamer or sugar. Doesn’t like carbonated drinks. Abhors the taste of alcohol.
