((wow that’s really cool looking! We should have a place for all these face claims))“You three then.” Stein hands me the envelope brusquely as he wheels over to his desk, ignoring me and Ram entirely now. “Thanks Ram.” I say, walking over to the corner and kneeling down in front of the shaking girl. “I’m glad you’re going to be with me.” I smile, brushing a longer lock of sand colored hair behind my ear as I hold out a hand to help her up. She reminds me of the farm I grew up on, with her messy hair and clothes, it’s pretty, I think she looks more real than some other girls here. But I would never say that outloud. Tossy bleats gratefully and nuzzles her leg, though I know that all he’s grateful for is not getting dissected. Hesitantly, I then approach the other person on our team, Ison. He’s so tall and dark and mysterious, I never had the chance to talk to him before. But I’ve heard from numerous girls that he’s incredibly dreamy because of his mystery. I guess he’s pretty hot. If you like that kind of thing, I just find him a little scary. “Hello.” I say softly as I stand by his desk. “Thank you for volunteering. I’m not a very good fighter…. Uh,” I stutter, opening the letter and reading it. “I-it says that someone’s been using a moral manipulation machine on civilians. Do you know what that means?” It’s not a rhetorical question, I have never heard of a moral manipulation machine before, and I glance back and forth between my new companions, hoping for an answer. I show them the letter so they can read it too, the town it’s from is a long ways away. We’ll have to pack for at least one night.

I was careful to not get involved in the antics about the book, and i couldn’t bring myself to regret it. I didn’t want Stein to turn his anger toward me, or worse, find out that I had a goat under my desk. Tossy had finally laid down at my feet and if everything stayed calm, I would make it through this period with no problems. Just when it was looking like class might actually start though, someone hurried into the classroom, nearly bumping into Ram.
Ram… She sure was nervous, and odd, I’d talked to her a few times and I still had no idea what her problem was. It didn’t look like she would make it into class today. And no one was doing anything to help her. The person handed Stein an envelope and left, quickly. “Well,” he said, reading it with raised eyebrows. “It seems we have a special project for a few of you to do. Who’s up for the challenge?” He looked around the classroom expectantly, and I took the opportunity to crouch down out of my seat and sneak to the door. Ram clearly needed some moral support, and that was my specialty. A friend in need is a friend of mine, even if we’re not yet friends. I hurried behind Stein’s desk and then to the door, quiet as a mouse. Or so I thought
“Tartarus. Thank you for being our first volunteer.” Even though I could run for it, I freeze beside the door when he says my name, and give a furtive look out the hallway as I stand up and nod. Stein smirks and I wonder why until I hear the all too familiar sound of hooves on the floor and Tossy trots right past our teacher to stand by my side, an entire chair leg clamped in his mouth. “So… Now that we’ve got such a… interesting line up, any more volunteers?” Tossy stays beside me but I stare at the floor, wishing i could run away too, im acutely aware of my lack of fighting abilities even before he says anything more “he certainly can’t do it on his own, you know”

It was still early morning, the sun not yet reaching over the walls, but Armin was wide awake. He was currently lying slumped against the side of the stable, staring at the still dark sky blankly. He didn’t feel well. After all the casualties yesterday it seemed likely that they’d take it easier today, perhaps they’d even do nothing at all. That would be good. Doing nothing. He hoped they’d do nothing. The cool air blew a feet stray bits of straw across his face and as he sat up and brushed them off, he heard the sound of footsteps across the stones.

“Hi Conner!” I say, leaning back in my chair and smiling at him. “Hi!” I say again, in case he didn’t hear me over the music. Just then, Professor Stein came into the class room. I hurry to shoo Tossy under my desk and sit forward again, crossing my hands on my desk and smiling innocently. “Good morning Professor!”
((Also, I drew my character for this. If you want to see him it’s right here)) http://s5.postimg.org/vq73rkyk7/image.jpg
((Is not anime style but oh well)) -
Well the settings seem a little over used to me, but with intriguing likable characters and a strong storyline you could probably make them feel new enough. If you told us what will actually happen in the story instead of just where it will happen, it might be easier to see where you’re going.

I had a lot of geeky, rather lame guys that liked me a few years ago. Like, those really awkward ones that have absolutely no game. At one point, there was six at once that were trying to woo me. So I told all of them that I’d meet them after this football game, (I wear the mascot costume) and when they all showed up they just found eachother and the football team. I heard they got pummeled pretty bad but hey, I wasn’t there so I can’t say for sure. 😉

“Ha! Take that you scourge!” Toby exclaimed dramatically, thrusting the dull wooden sword at Milo, who of course cowered back. “What can’t Oliver play the beast?” The petite blonde whimpered, peeking out from under the blanket they’d used as a costume. “Miloooo! Stop breaking character!” Anna whined. “You’re supposed to jump at him!” Reenacting the battles from the arena was one of the princess’s favorite games, and she was very strict about accuracy. “Besides,” Toby added “Oliver’s on braiding duty.” The stoic doll nodded, not looking up from plaiting Anna’s long golden locks. Of the three boys, he was the best at girlish things like hairstyling and nail painting.
“Now kill him.” She said excitedly, bouncing up and down on her bed and almost messing up the dark lavender ribbon that Oliver was trying to lace through her hair. Toby nodded and dove under the smaller boy, whacking him on the chest with the sword. Milo gave a half genuine moan of pain and flopped over to play dead. “Aaaaguuuhh, my leg! My arm!” Toby cried, pulling the limbs out from under his motionless brother. “I’ll never walk again! Aaauu- Oh hi Mrs. Bloomden!”
The princess’s nanny smiled as she walked into the room, Anastasia wasn’t allowed to have friends from lower classes, so as the highest class in the city, she would have been very lonely without her toys. “Your highness, it’s time for dinner.” Oliver had just enough time to tie the ribbon around her braid before Anastasia skipped across the room, jumping over each of the other two dolls consecutively. Milo sighed tiredly once the door had closed behind her. “Is your stomach ok?” Toby asked, helping him up. “Huh? Oh. Yes, I’m fine…. It just seems wrong, making a game out of that.” Oliver nodded wordlessly as he put the brush and hair ribbons away.

((Guys, to make things easier, this is going to go down in sections. The next one is up, it’s set all over the city so just try to use it for both plot and character development. Feel free to finish up whatever you’re doing either here or there. I dunno. I’m new here too))

Toby frowned. There was something weird about this man, beyond just the fangs and assumed blood sucking. He already distrusted him. “What would the princess want with a creep like y- mmpph!” One of the royal guards had snapped his gloved hand over the boy’s mouth, giving the vampire an apologetic smile. “Sorry about that. Girls don’t like to share their toys, toys don’t like to share their girls.” The man chuckled. “Her highness wishes to speak to you. Perhaps later this evening?” Toby pushed the hand away to cut in with disbelief “what?! You’re inviting HIM to the castle?!!” The warlock impatiently grabbed him by the neck and muttered ‘inanimati’. A flash of light echoed in the doll’s eyes and he went limp as the man continued nonchalantly, barely catching Toby before he hit the ground. “It’s up to you of course. I’ll tell the watchmen to let you pass.” With that, the guard threw Toby over his shoulder and followed the princess and her other escorts out of the arena. She was still complaining about the early cancellation, and continued to do so even as she was helped into the carriage.
-
Fear flickered in Toby’s eyes for a moment before they returned to their usual unfocused, half lifeless state as he smiled, tilting his head cutely. He couldn’t afford to forget how breakable he really was, but he also couldn’t afford to show weakness like that. “are you a vampire then? I’ve never seen one up close.” The shorter stranger leaned up on tiptoe to brush the hair from Matthew’s eyes for a closer look, he was free to act as forward as he wanted when the princess couldn’t see. Anastasia was back in her section and nearly breaking, or perhaps actually breaking, Oliver’s neck as she bounced up and down watching the fight, still tearing happily at the candy apple with her small dainty teeth. Toby couldn’t understand her yelling since her mouth was full and she was several yards away, but if Milo and Oliver’s facial expressions were anything to go by, it was probably pretty unladylike. By now the warlocks had hurried over to their fallen creation, and the dome was receeding. “Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve just received word that the arena will be closing early this afternoon for… maintenance.” The announcer said pleasantly. Certainly it would take some time to remove that rotting flesh. Though the princess seemed very dissappointed and ordered the warlocks to make them continue the show, they ignored her.

((Yeah I’m lost too. But if you don’t mind just killing him real quick then We’ll be able to clean this up a bit without backtracking))

((Hello and welcome to: “tartarus tries desperately to segue all of the running plots together into one scene”))
((Also, ice demon guy, i guess that the lion you’re fighting is a NPC now, so you can describe his actions and fate in the fight))
So they really were going to wait until someone was sent out from the audience. The warlocks guarding the dragon girl in the main field stood watching the audience like hawks, ready to grab anyone that happened to be pushed forward. Not a human of course, but everyone knew that plenty of feral strangers came to these events. The humans would definitely give them away if they knew it would mean a death match, and it would.
The battles were continuing in the other fields of the arena, a brutal girl slaughtered an equally brutal man, much to Anna’s amusement, and was led away. A bigger, stronger looking lion was dragged in once the man’s corpse was removed, accompanied by some sort of demon, and that fight began.
But the warlocks made no move to bring out a new opponent for the dragon. That girl who ran in might have saved her, actually. By mercy killing that lion, she’d more or less guaranteed that some untrained street rat would take it’s place. The people a few rows below the royal were trying to push an older man down into the field, accompanied by a few shouts of “move it vampire!”
“Is that man a vampire?” Anna asked, looking at Toby. “Well, I guess he is… Or he just looks like one.” He was adamantly denying his vampirism right now, but Toby guessed that he was probably lying. “You should go down.” The princess said cheerfully, as if it wasn’t a clear death sentence. Toby shook his head “I… Um. Are you sure, princess? I’m not really built for that…” He couldn’t argue with royalty, but a dragon against a doll? He’d be dead in half a second and the guards wouldn’t even have any blood to mop up. Fortunately the audience seemed to have several other strangers lined up for the sacrifice already.
