I hurry into the classroom a little while after my classmate. I would have gotten here sooner but the carpet bag I use to carry my books and supplies is a lot heavier than usual today. Finally though I get to my seat, right up front and center, a little out of breath. Tossy bleats angrily and jumps out as soon as I open the suitcase. He doesn’t like being smuggled in like this, but I was supposed to leave him outside since he keeps chewing the desks. “Shhh! wait, what did you-” I notice the notebook hanging out of his mouth and yank it away. I knew it, last week’s lecture, completely shredded. “Stay here.” I say, bonking him on the head with the half eaten book. I’ll have to find someone to copy these from before class starts. I’ve never talked to that girl much, but….

H: *looks at the weapon, trying to figure out how one would ever decide the situation that was important enough to use the one bullet for.* thanks… Uh, *looks around* how long have you been here anyway?

“Famous?” Karkat repeated dubiously. Why was it everyone has such ridiculous jobs? He’d never even heard of a cosplay cafe.

L backed up as quick as he could as Dai tumbled out of the computer. This just got stranger and stranger. As he stepped back, he accidentally bumped the newcomer reclining a few feet away. “Sorry about that” he said sheepishly, turning back to look at the person who had just managed to wriggle his way out of the fairly small screen.

“Now that Lady Elizabeth is here, the dancing should start quite soon. As for the hearts and happiness…” Sebastian looked backwards toward his sulking master “I’m afraid the master’s fiancée has her work cut out for her tonight.” With that, he went to the door and greeted the blonde girl with a slight bow, smiling. “We are honored that you’re able to attend, dear lady, please do come inside.” He stepped back and gestured to the hall, ignoring Grell’s antics. “My young master is brooding in the ballroom, perhaps you’ll be able to shake him out of it.”

“You mean house? You actually bought one of those human buildings?” Karkat was impressed. “Where’d you get that kind of money?” He narrowed his eyes suspiciously

“You can call me L, or Ryuzaki.” He smiled, taking another sip of coffee “It’s nice to meet you. I haven’t had the chance to talk to many people lately, it’s pretty lonely.”

H: *follows Ava to the building and guards the entrance, backing up as the little girl ran inside too* That was close. Are you alright? ((Sorry. I would hAve helped you but I didn’t see the message in time))

“Yes, my lord.” Sebastian bowed politely before turning and leaving the ballroom. Upon reaching the foyer however, he stopped, the calm expression slipping into one of irritation. This was the last thing he needed right now, and even worse, it was wearing a dress. “The party hasn’t even started and you’re dancing already? You wouldn’t want to get tired before the other guests arrive, surely.” He kept a rueful smirk as he approached the energetic shinigami.

Horatio: Well… I’m trying to find my hometown, Wickenburg, eventually… but right now I was just going to try to find somewhere to bunk down, none of the houses around here seem to have working door locks though and I-” *stops, realizing he was rambling, and rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.* “I’m Horatio by the way. Private Horatio Giovanni. Whats your name?” *she was really pretty, even in the dark, he wanted to keep talking to her*

Horatio: *hoists backpack up farther on back and looks around the area before leaving the house and continuing on his journey, pulls out a worn map from his pocket and looks at it intently. not noticing the girl* Oh! no, sorry, it was my fault *blushes despite himself*

H: I know, a friend of mine was killed by one. *glances outside* it’s getting dark, you’d better head home.
