“Is that–um–so?” Barnaby looks at Leppu, half smiling. “I’ve never really moved–uh–around these parts so much before.” he says quietly, looking around.

Barnaby follows Kylie and Leppu. He looks over Kylie’s shoulder, raising an eyebrow slightly at the pad. “Huh,” he rests his hands in his front pant pockets. “Very–interesting…yes…very.”

Barnaby crosses his arms during the conversation, he chomps down on the inside of his cheeks and leans against a wall to keep himself from saying anything stupid. Practically all the things they’ve said made almost no sense to him. It didn’t really matter anyways, he’ll forget almost everything tomorrow. He can barely keep up with their names for heaven’s sake. He quietly mumbles all their names, including his, under his breath. His slightly moves his pointer finger back and forth.

Barnaby stands up from the table. Â He walks over to Kylie, sticking out his hand. “Um–hello there.” he looks down at her, his lips curl to form something sort of a smile.

Barnaby nods. “Uh-huh.”

“Well,” Barnaby starts. “There was once a happy little boy and he–uh–lived with his happy family. One day he and–uh–um–his father, yes, his–uh–father went out for lunch. Now–uh–the father was a manly man, very tall and strong. And–uhh–the son looked up to him. Anyways, they–uh–went to lunch one day and–uh–the father got some uncooked cow brains. The father–uh–loved them and he wanted his young son to eat them too. And–uh–the son did eat them. But, something happened to the son. One day he–uh–started having some really bad depression. And–uh–it seemed that everything was wrong with the son. The father and mother took him to the hospital, and guess what?” Barnaby stops, looking at the two. “The boy wasn’t right up at the brain. A–uh–um–horrible thing happened in his brain. They called it Mad Cow Disease. And while they–uh–were lookin’ around in his brain, they found he had another horrible disease! And he was soon to die in a few 13 months. But–uh–with the help of doctors and lots and lots of pills, this boy is still alive today. Now–uh–don’t eat cow brains, or anything raw from a cow, ever. Don’t–uh–even eat cow. Because you don’t wanna end up like me.” Barnaby takes a sip of his soda. “Yes I’m–uh–the boy.”

Jasmine looks back at Windy, smiling. “Ooh, awesome!” she says, moving her hands around.

Barnaby leans back, taking a sip of his soda. “Figures,” he says under his breath. “H-Hey, you guys wanna–uh–hear a story?”

Jasmine looks at Kate, smiling softly. “It’s nothing much really, just electricity-like powers. Almost like a little lightning in my hands. Don’t get me wrong, it’s cool, but pretty painful.” she shrugs, looking up at the sky.

Barnaby smiles at Leppu, closing his eyes. “Awe, you’re so cute!” he reaches across the table and ruffles Leppu’s hair.

Barnaby sits down, taking a can of soda. He nods at Luppu and Lawrence. “Thanks–um–thanks.” Barnaby shakes his head and opens the can, he digs in his pockets and takes out a small plastic container. He opens the container, there’s a bunch of pills of different colors and sizes. He takes them all out and stuffs them in his mouth, he takes a huge swig of soda, swallowing them all.

Jasmine looks around. “Do you guys think that there are any animals around here, maybe?! Hey, that would be really cool!” Jasmine rests her hands behind her head and starts to take long strides.

Barnaby closes his eyes, rubbing the bridge of his nose. “I knew something like this was going to happen.” he says quietly, sighing. “Are you–uh–alright?” he looks Leppu.

Barnaby looks Skylar straight in the eyes. “Now there’s no–uh–need to get feisty.” his head tilts to the side, he rests his hands on his hips.
