Cool, okay. Then how about we’re apprenticed to a mage in some large city? Or one of us could be the mage the other’s apprenticed to?

Whichever way you prefer, though we should probably decide on a setting, first. Would you like doing something Tolkien-esque or maybe modern+magic?

A befuddled look crossed her face as she turned to look at Rage. He shrugged again before leaning against the wall. “He’s a bit odd, huh?” Rage joked, though J.C. was unaware the words fell from her own lips in a distinctly lower voice.
She rolled her eyes at him. “Play nice,” she chastised, her voice her own once again.
-
“Yeah, he’s been with me for ages. He’s the one standing next to me.” She waved her hand to the seemingly empty air beside her.
-
She shook her head. “They all died years ago. Bandits.” Another drink of the sweet soda and she continued. “I still had my dad do awhile, but he got sick and now it’s just me and Rage.”

Hi, Max! My name’s Jace and I thought maybe we could do an RP, though im not sure what sorts of things you’re into. I, myself, mostly enjoy fantasy and sci-fi. If you’re interested, it could be fun.

Jace breathed a heavy sigh, jogging after the teacher. It seemed like they had all been running for ages now and they would rather like to try sparring, even if they weren’t all that skilled in combat. Well, that just meant they could only get better!
-
Still dubious of the drink presented to her, she sipped lightly at it. It was sweeter than she expected, but she found she liked it. “I do have a name, though. It’s J.C.”
-
“Don’t treat me like a kid. You don’t even know me.” She took the drink and tried to take a drink, but could barely hold it back, her eyes widening in alarm. “How do you drink this?” She set the cup down as though it had personally offended her, while Rage laughed beside her. She leveled a glare at him.
-
She eyed the man with suspicion, glancing to Rage who simply shrugged, unfazed by the man ignoring him. “I know the danger,” she answered him. “And I can handle myself just fine.” Their drinks arrive and she takes the metal cup in hand, studying it.

Rage touched J.C.’s shoulder, making her turn and see a motorbike parked in front of a building that seemed to have persons inside. She frowned deeply and looked to her companion. “Do you want to stay there, or something? It looks crowded…”
He smiled. “Yeah, let’s crash there for the night. I’m sure it’s a helluva lot safer than some random building.”
She nodded and turned towards it. “Alright, but if this goes south, I’m taking your lunch tomorrow.”
The figure just laughed. J.C. mumbled a bit to the owner of the hotel, asking for a room. It had been much to long since she had spoken to an actual human. The key was handed to her and she took a seat at the end of the bar away from the other patrons.

Jace handed the bottle to Panic for him to set on the cooler as instructed before following behind the teacher. They honestly enjoyed jogging, though they liked it best when there was someone to talk with as they ran.
-
Jace waved to the other students who had just arrived. “Hi,” they greeted. “I’m Jace, and this is Panic, my guide sprite.” The cat-like being looked over each of them with slight disdain.
-
Jace accepted the bottle, letting the teacher place it in their hand. They twisted off the lid and brought it slowly to their lips before chugging it rather haphazardly.
-
Jace nodded and they ran in silence for awhile, Panic telling Jace of a rock that was in their way that they sidestepped just in time.
