Connor seemed concerned. Maybe I’ll tell him about the cafeteria later, I thought, after all I don’t want to ruin the niceness of it all. But, i was kinda glad he didn’t ask about it in the first place. I’m not that into talking about feelings, so it worked out nicely. I nodded to show him I wanted to go out to lunch. I didn’t really like hot dogs to begin with ,but it was better than the cafeteria or eating alone. Quickly and impulsively, I hugged him. “Thank you” I whispered, Then I let go. Half a second later, As If nothing happened, I got back to my normal self and began to talk loudly. “Let’s go!” I hollered, then dragged him outside. I honestly didn’t know where we were going, so I walked slightly behind him and he guided us there. On the way I talked, my mouth moving as fast as ever, “so you listen to any music?” I asked.

I entered the cafeteria alone. Looking down, I walked to the closest empty table I could find. I threw my book bag on the seat next to me, so people would know I was saving a spot. I looked around anxiously to make sure no one was coming towards me to kick me out of the table. Then, I opened my book bag, and pulled out my sack lunch. I’d packed myself some soup, and It tasted rotten. Looks like I shouldn’t pack my own lunch ever again. So much for trying to be independent. After deciding I wasn’t hungry anymore, I pulled out my phone and plugged into into my compact speakers and started to play my music. People began to stare, it was pretty loud after all. But then, people started to whisper, I couldn’t hear it over the music, but it made me nervous. People just made me nervous. I was fine in class, but in the cafeteria I felt worried and stressed. It felt like everyone was against me then, telling their friends about my lame music and how uncool I was. I immediately stood up as if to yell something like,”quit staring!” Or maybe, “you never hear good music before?” But I couldn’t say anything, my mind drew a blanket and my face turned bright red. All eyes were still on me. I couldn’t take the uneasiness of it all, so I picked up my things and ran to go find Connor. I rushed through the hallways until I bumped into him, literally. “Hey,” I said looking down, “sorry about bumping into you.”

Looks like I have a partner now. The thought of no longer being alone made me happy. Maybe he’d even let me sit with him in class, or eat lunch with me, or help me study for exams. I was no longer alone. I had a friend now, I had a partner. Obviously, This was turning out to be a pretty good day. It got even better once the bell rang.
Like most of the students lunch was next, it was the period where I migrated to a nearby empty hall way and ate my lunch while listening to my music. Occasionally I would dance after eating or study, but usually I would just sit there, listen to my music and daydream. But, maybe today I’d eat in the cafeteria. I was feeling rather confident after all, so I’d thought I’d try it out.
As the students pushed and showed through the crowds of people in the halls, I looked down at Connor and saw his face in the blades reflection. Knowing he was there, I asked, “do you want to turn back into your human form now? cause I’m relatively hungry and would like to go eat lunch.” I slightly smiled as my stomach growled.

I held the glaive in my hands, it almost felt natural. Not to heavy, and not to light. The way it should feel when the wave lengths are compatible. Though it was slightly awkward at first. I was a bit apprehensive, and nervous. That’s probably what messed me up. I had never held a glaive before, let alone use one. So, for a bit, I just waved it around some. Jabbing at the air, and trying to spin it. But, in an attempt to look cool by twirling the glaive like a baton, I dropped him. Quickly, I picked him up to try again. “I’m so sorry,” I whispered. And as If nothing had happened I continued fighting the air once more.
This was awesome. It made me excited for the future. Because, if this worked out, I’d be able to go on missions and help collect Kishin souls. My heart raced in excitement. “I think it’s working.” I said as I continued swinging Connor around. “So, What do you think?”
-
I smiled, and grabbed my book bag. “C’mon, pick up you stuff,
And we’ll go out into the hallway” I watched as Connor carefully picked up his things and placed them in his bag. Once he was ready to go, I grabbed his hand and dragged him outside. Much like Tartarus, stein had noticed us leaving. “You two,” he said, “how about you help out as well.” I didn’t want anything to do with it or stein, so I just continued walking with Connor dragged along.Out in the hallway we both just stood there for a minute. I was a bit nervous, although I’d been the the DWMA for so long I’ve never actually had a real weapon partner. But Connor was nice, and seemed to have a good heart. I liked him. A lot. I was really hoping this worked out, I didn’t want another failed partnership. So, as kindly as I could, I asked. “Are you ready?” I slightly smiles and finally let go of his hand.
-
“I know.” I said to Connor with a sly smile. I wiped a bit of blood of my face with my sleeve, the colors seemed to blend so it wasn’t that noticeable. “Bein’ crazy helps make my life interesting.” That was entirely true. Being reckless was my way of keeping myself entertained with life.
After a minute of awkward silence, I leaned towards Connor. “So, in the past ten minute we have been friends, I was thinking that maybe we could be partners.” I smiled. He was the only friend I’ve managed to make in my entire life, so I thought I’d make him useful. “I mean we obviously care for each other, and anyone who willingly carries me to my seat is more than likely a good friend.” I pause for a minute. “Plus I don’t want my whole taking back to stein thing to go to waste.” I them waited pantiently for his response.
-
I looked at Connor quickly, then back at stein. “I’m standing up for you.” I said still looking stein right in eyes. “If you’re not going to fight back, I will.” Me, being as reckless as ever, didn’t care about the outcome. As much as I enjoyed standing up for Connor, this also did shorten the lecture. “are you just going to sit there stein, or are you going to defend yourself. If not, I’m going to waltz right up to you and take Connor’s book back.” Stein didn’t respond, so I did what I said I would. I calmly walked up to steins desk and placed one hand on the book. But, surprisingly, he let me take it. Just like that, I started to to walk back up to my seat.
Moments later, I found myself bleeding on the ground. Stein had struck me down right before I could get to the stair that led to the seating. Most of my peers were laughing at me. It was worth it though, at least I tried to help.

“Well aside from a few graphic novels, I haven’t read anything that great. But, I’d really like to barrow storms of the soul if that’s ok.” I politely smile back. It’s nice to think I may actually have a real friendship forming. Plus, I’m almost positive he’s a weapon, maybe we could partner up if things go well.
Samantha later called Connor out for reading in class. Stein rolled his chair to the edge of the stairs, and walked towards Connor. He simply took his book, then hit him upside the head with it. “What the hell was that for?!” I yelled at stein. Yeah, maybe we’re not suppose to read in class. But, was it really nesesary to hit the kid. Stein didn’t respond, he just walked back to his chair, and rolled back to his desk. Just like that he continued to teach, but I still didn’t think it was fair. So, enraged at steins unfair actions towards my almost new friend, I yelled again. “You can’t just hit kids with books and continue class like that. It’s not right!”

Name: Aki Sato (I’ll post the photo of my wall)
Birthday: January 15
I attend iwatobi high school.
One of my best childhood friends is makoto. I’m not the best swimmer although I’m working on it. I’m a crazed otaku and a fanfic god. My passion is music, it’s full of beauty and grace. Plus, I look pretty cute in the orchestra uniform. I’m pretty good in most of my classes, except gym, considering I’m a bit clumsy. That’s all for now! -
I turned the music down as class began. I looked over and saw Connor, kid was pretty smart so I figured I’d ask him what was going on. “Hey, Connor,” I whispered as I turned back in my chair. “What’s…” I drew a blank, and immediately regained focus on him. His book is what caught my eye though. “…that you’re reading?” I asked. He normally read, his book poorly concealed from the view of our peers. But, this was the only time I actually bothered to ask.

Mathew awoke in a dark alley. The street lights eerily glowing, and the cool breeze giving Matt a slight chill. He groaned, “Where the hell am I?” Mathew could normally recognize the alley ways, but this one was strangely unfamiliar. The slightly glowing collar still bonded onto his neck continued to aggravate him. He clawed at it, but it wouldn’t budge. Mathew hissed and yelled, he moaned in agony. Nothing happened, and Mathew was hungry, so he walked through the alley looking for a fresh body to sink his teeth into.
He wondered the softly lit streets for hours upon hours, until he saw a shadow, one not much bigger than a young boy. Mathew aproached the boy carefully, not wanting him to run off. Or worse, call the warlocks. “Seems I’m in quite the predicament” Matt said to the boy with the most convincing smile he could make on his face, “looks like, yet again, I’ve managed to get lava stuck onto my neck. Can you come a little closer and help me get it off?” The boy, still young and unaware of the monsters that roamed this town, did as Mathew asked and came over and started to pull at the collar. Matt’s hunger grew second by second, and not before long, Mathew grabbed the boy by his waist and dug his jagged fangs into the boys neck. The boy screamed as loud as he could, but it was no use. Mathew has drained the boy of most of his blood, and he was no to weak to live and died. His screaming did do something though, after Mathew took the time to pay attention to his soundings, he heard the sound of warlocks rapidly gaining on him. Mathew then did what he does best, he ran.
-
“I haven’t been running,” Mathew mumbled as the collar pressed against his neck making it hard for him to speak, “Picking fights with you isn’t running. All it is is a plead for attention, nothing more. I can’t help it that I just tend to kill people to obtain that attention.” The blast of electricity weakened him momentarily, giving Rasputin the time he needed to lecture Matt about his sins. This surprised Matthew though, because Rasputin had never been much for words, more for action and death. Matt let him fangs out and hissed at the guards, “What is it you want with all of us anyways? I mean, I know you want me for murder and god know what else. But what about the innocent strangers you put in the arena, huh? Are you scared of their power, their strength? Or are you just ignorant like everybody else in the crap city of ours?” Mathew’s enraged attitude had clearly upset Rasputin, he could see the anger growing in his eyes, a kind of anger Matthew had felt before. When he used to go out on killing sprees that anger would consume him whole, nowadays it doesn’t even matter to him any more. But Rasputin wasn’t the only enraged one, the feeling Mathew saw in his eyes was growing in his own. That uncontrollable rage and blood lust was returning to him, no one was safe now. Not even Matt.

Matthew was escorted into the castle by about four warlocks. A bit extravagant, Matt thought, but after all Mathew was a bit of a criminal and the warlocks were hired to protect the princess at all costs. After climbing up an overwhelming amount of stairs, he was finally only a couple feet away from the graceful castle that you could see from miles away. The warlocks mumbled a few words, and the gigantic stone doors opened. Still being watched like and hawk, Matt walked into the castle. The elegant interior amazed him, he hadn’t seen anything this amazing since he was alive. The cream colored tiled floors shined like diamonds. The chandeliers brightened up the room, admittedly making Mathew’s skin slightly burn, but it was still magnificent. He was led into a dinning hall where the princess sat eating. She took sloppy, big, bites that amused Matt.
“What is a creature like that doing here?!” An elderly lady scolded him, “Get him out of here now!” The warlock said nothing back to her, the just pushed Mathew closer to the princess. Anna’s hair was braided beautifully, and the ribbon at the bottom shined almost as bright as the blonde hair it was tied to. Mathew stood there awkwardly for a few minutes before the princess looked up from eating. She cocked her head, and Matt smiled to the best of his ability. “Hello,” He said as politely as he could, “I’m Mathew.”
-
Mathew flashed his fangs at Toby, and The boy jumped back startled. “I am a vampire,” Matt said in a low voice, “was that all you wanted then?” Mathew shuck his head to move his hair back in his face. He figured scaring the boy into getting him close to Anna wouldn’t be the greatest plan, but it could work. Plus, with the arena closing early for maintenance, Mathew could try to win her over by continuing the cruel battles. As much as he hated them he knew, from his constant stalking, that the princess would do anything to continue watching these battles. So, with the scaring Toby plan in motion, Matt crouched down and got as close as he could to the boy. “I’m a busy man,” Mathew said softly as he let his fangs drop down once more, “so it’d be in your best intrest if you let me know now what you want with me asides from asking if I was in fact a vampire. Because, I know how this little government works, if the princess had you come check me out she must want something more with me. Am I right?”
