Theon grins widely, waving the knife back and fourth, twirling it between his fingers casually, “Am I annoying you, Capt’n?” He asked, cocking his head slightly to the side, “You didn’t answer my question either, how mean,” He frowned falsely and exaggeratedly “I still want to know~” He said, smile returning, “How will you kill me?”

Caligula put his hands in his pockets with a sigh, “Ah, it’s fine, don’t worry about me.” He said, letting his head fall back to look up at the tree canopy, “Whenever any creature is thrust out of their natural environment, there’s always an adverse reaction.” He said, voice growing slightly distant as he seemed to slip into deeper thought, “It seems that only now that reaction registered.” His hand again drifted to the notebook in his pocket, slipping it out and jotting a quick note.

Theon gave a short laugh at Asona, but otherwise ignored her. He tilted his head backwards more to look at Vanaistis, “Oh~ The scary Mousier captain has drawn a knife.” He said teasingly, “Are you gonna kill me with that knife? I think I deserve at least a better knife than that.” He pushed himself up by the edge of the boat and swiped the knife out of his hand and began twirling the knife between his fingers, “How’re you gonna do it, then? Gut me like a fish? Cut off my head? Well, what do you think?” He asked, miming the different deaths with the knife.

“I won’t be much help strung out either.” He murmured somewhat defeatedly, but conceded and began walking towards the woods, quickly writing some more notes in his book.
-
Theon scoffed, “Good for you.” he said, refusing to look her in the eye, extending his tail and allowing himself to float at the surface of the water.

Caligula took a deep inhale and then dropped the cigarette butt to the ground, “I’ll do whatever I need to do.” He put a hand in his pockets and murmured something about being an idiot for not bringing anything, seeming to be rather irritated, mostly with himself, but trying to suppress it, “I’m gonna find somewhere to sleep in the meantime…”
-
Theon scowled slightly as Asona approached, “Nothing that involves someone like you.” He murmured under his breath then let his head fall backwards again, staring up at the sky without further acknowledging the other mermaids presence.
-
Caligula sighed again, “…I see…” He said and threaded his fingers together, leaning his brow against his knuckles and slowly exhaled the smoke from his lungs, “I should’ve prepared better… I doubt I’ll be able to run back and fourth between here and hell for however long I was here…” He said mostly to himself, voice trailing off at the end as if slipping into deep thought.

Theon ducked underwater briefly, combing out his hair with his hands. He resurfaced, leaning his shoulders over the edges sides of the boats. He lets his head fall back and looked up at the captain, “Hey, monsieur pirate~” he said in a singsongy voice, “You said you wanted to kill me, when’s that gonna happen?” He teased, “I wanna know when I should get scared.” He said with a grin and picked his head up, looking over the ocean, then scowled, “…great, another one…” He murmured to himself.
-
Caligula sighed and ran a hand through his hair, “…Great…” He murmured, sounding properly annoyed for the first time. He sat down on a nearby rock and pulled a lighter out of his pocket and flicked it, raising it to his cigarette. He took a deep puff of the cigarette and allowed himself to relax, “This’ll end up being a headache…” He sighed, deeply exhaling the smoke, “…I’m not really an outdoorsy sort of person…”

Caligula reached into his breast pocket and pulled out a cigarette, holding it in the corner of his mouth, “I think I should have some money, probably enough to sustain us.” He murmured, then raised his hand and touched the tip of a horn, “I can tuck my tail into my pants, but cant get rid of these.” He sighed gently, “I can say it’s prosthetic and and my eyes are contacts. Humans don’t question things out of their understanding, I’m sure they’ll believe it.”
-
Caligula glances up and scratches his beard, “I may have deposited some years ago… but I’m not sure how much.” He said, then gave a small, somewhat awkward smile and put his hands in his pockets, “Although you may have gotten something a little wrong about me, my addictions are caffeine and cigarettes, alcohol isn’t a daily occurrence.” He said with a chuckle, “Although, I suppose I can see why you would think that.”
-
“I never claimed to be one of you.” Theon said with a slight scowl, “And whether you’re a part of the crew or not, it doesn’t change the fact that your annoying flapping messes up my hair.” He said with a trace of vitriol in his voice.

Caligula sighed and ran a hand through his hair, opening up his book once again and beginning to page through it, “We are in Australia,” he said without breaking eye-contact with the paper, “It is a civilized country, correct? We aren’t in the middle of the desert either, we should be near the coast. I’m sure there’s a city or town somewhere nearby.” He said, then shut his book again, “I’m not sure about you, but I’d rather not live like an animal. Let me see the map.” He approached Aureoline, extending a hand.

Caligula sighed and pushed up his glasses, tail slowly swinging back and fourth near the ground, “Alright now kids, break it up.” He said halfway sarcastically with a sigh, “Getting hostile isn’t a good way to set the foundations of peace.”
