Minato nods and raises his glass to Elis with a warm smile, “Yeah, come along if you want! It’ll be more fun and probably safer with more people.” He said, taking a sip of his mead, “It’ll be easier on me if you guys don’t get hurt anyway.”
-
Minato tilts his head slightly, “Are you gonna hunt them tonight?” he asked, looking just a little surprised, “Then… I guess now isn’t the best time to drink, is it…?” He sighed and placed his glass back on the bar with a slightly heavy hand.

Minato nods, hailing the bartender with a hand, then turns around to face Arenadd, “Will you be going now, then?” He asks in response to him standing up.
-
Minato nods, “If you’ve got some coin, there’s an armory a bit down the road.” He says, downing the last of his mead, “I hear they’re pretty good.”

Kou put his hands in his pockets, clenching and releasing his fists as he silently watched his food cooking. He continuously sent sidelong glances at Takeo over his shoulder, somehow he felt suspicious of him. The suspicion within him gradually turned to paranoia. Without turning around, he asked with a quiet, low voice, “you… are you following me?”
-
Minato watched their exchange, quietly sipping his drink in slight boredom. Similar acts of mild aggression were typical in the pub, he’d been completely desensitized to it. It took him a second to reply to Arenadd as he’d begun to zone out, “Huh? Oh, yeah.” He turns back to the bar table, then looks up at Arenadd with a smile, his eyes returning to their usual brightness, “If you’d like, we could go into the woods to find the goblin village, they aren’t particularly sneaky so they shouldn’t be hard to track, especially for a hunter like you.”
-
“Really?” He asks, looking towards Arenadd and tilting his head slightly to the side, “You’re strong, then? All we’ve got here is weak knights, usually cant take out more than a couple in a trip and half the time come back full of scratch and broken bones.”
-
As Kou hears someone behind him, he stiffens, clenching his fist in his pocket. He turns around, briefly facing Takeo, “…Please pardon me…” He murmured, walking a large around him, heading toward the boiling water to cook his food.

The barkeeper returns, putting a of mead in front of each of them. Minato picked his up and took a long swig from it, “Yeah…” He sighs, putting his glass back down on the table and leaning back in his chair, “A few townspeople have been hurt recently… it’s disconcerting. The priest’s guild’s practically overflowing with injured in the past weeks, really it’s a headache.” He runs a hand through his his hair and leans forward against the bar.
-
Minato smiles, “I suppose we’re the same in that sense.” He says, waving his hand to attract the barkeeper, then simply holding up two fingers to order, “This is a pretty good place to find people that need help, at least if you’re the type to like killing things. Lately goblins have been spotted getting closer and closer, y’know?”

The cashier hands Kou his change, he casually takes it then pulls out a disinfectant wipe to cleanse it before pocketing the money. The cashier only gives him a slightly weird look as he’d been o the shop enough times for them to become more or less desensitized to each others presence.

Minato crosses his legs casually, “Hey, you should take a seat before someone else does. First round’s on me, if that’s alright.” He leans his elbow on the bar, hunching over slightly, “Anyway, you mentioned you’re passing through, but this town is as far west before monster territory, so where are you headed?”
-
Minato nods and and puts a hand to his chest and bows slightly in an almost princely manor, “Then, please follow me!” He walks past Arenadd into town. After a short walk, they reach a largeish wooden building a few stories high. The first floor seemed to be a lively pub, crowded with all sorts of people, from knights to farmers. As Minato entered, a several people greeted him, calling his name and raising their glasses to him. He simply smiled and waved to them before finding a couple empty seats at the bar.

Koh opens the door to the convenience store quickly, wanting to remain in contact with the handle for as short a time as possible. Once inside, he walked toward the back of the store and picked up his favorite flavor of instant udon and brought it to the register, handing the cashier a 500-yen note and some odd change.

Minato nods and slides down from the tree branch, landing gracefully in front of Arenadd. “If you want, I could show you to the inn?” He offers, holding his hands behind his back, “This town is famous for it’s honey mead, y’know?”
