Makoto brought up the back of the group, holding his staff in front of him as a casual defensive gesture, still walking with a fairly relaxed gait despite the gravity of the situation. He looks at the sheep with a smile, jogging a couple steps to catch up with Elis, “Whoa~ nice summon!” He commended, looking over the sheep with an approving nod, “Rarely get to see spells like that. I’m happy to work with such a talented mage as yourself!” He said with a grin.

Theon nods empathetically with her story. He placed the pearls on a small table in front of the saleswoman with an expression calculated to be the perfect balance of sadness and desperation to tug at the heart strings, “Please, Miss, help me and Milady.” He said in a pathetic voice. The woman seemed to be touched by their performances, putting a hand up to his chest, “I’ll buy some!” She seemed to say almost on impulse, “How much are they?” Theon gave her a price, one inflated quite a deal for such cheap pearls as those ones. By the end of the negotiation, most of the pearls were sold and Theon got a fairly hefty bag of silver. As they swam out of eyesight from the shopkeeper, he dropped his facade, face taking on a self-satisfied smile, twirling one of the coins between his fingers with a chuckle, “That went well~ I should be able to buy a nice weapon with this!” he said in a prideful tone.
Dante nodded at Gully, putting one hand in his pockets and leaning the other on his sword, “Okay, lead the way!”

Makio shrugs, “I’m not good with words.” He said softly yet bluntly in a somewhat awkward way that seemed to suggest social ineptitude. He lifted his camera up to his face, looking around the room through the viewfinder for a moment.

Makio glances between the two of them briefly, then meets Gunther’s eyes for a moment. “Nice to meet you.” He said with a deep bow, holding his camera close to his chest “Please treat me kindly.”

Makio nods to him and slips into the room silently, picking up his camera again and absentmindedly paging through the pictures he currently had saved on his SD card.

Makoto jogged a few seconds to catch up with the others. He looked into the woods then the other two. “So are you guys ready?” He asked, holding his staff with both hands behind his back.

    Name: Tyr

    Age: 15

    WRY: Folk, Changeling.

Personality: Most noticeably, he’s insanely timid and shy, less so in owl form. He’s extremely easy to get scared an often times when he’s afraid, he winds up crying. He’s socially awkward, however finds it difficult to live without others. He’s not very strong at all, physically or mentally, however he makes up for that with intelligence.

Looks: Short at only 4’10”, white hair with some grey-brown locks and large yellow eyes. He’s never without his thick, circular glasses, he can barely see a foot in front of himself without them. His usual style is a argyle sweater-vest with a collared shirt under it and black slacks. Although he’s a changeling, he can only shift into a snowy owl.

Background: Tyr was born to a group of changelings, however as the runt of the litter, he was left in the woods to die. A kindly woods nymph named Seydr took pity on him and picked him up, somewhat sympathizing with him due to being outcast by the other nymphs for his interest in humans. Together, Tyr and Seydr lived isolated in a small cottage on the outskirts of a village and on the edge of the forest. Seydr raised Tyr to be clever, constantly reading to him, teaching him math and history, writing essays and even playing piano, thus Tyr wound up talented in most subjects, save for the ones that would actually be useful to Folk, thus after his 15th birthday, he made Tyr leave home to make him learn to survive by himself an handle himself around other Folk.

Extra: He loves cold weather, especially when it snows and his favorite subjects are history and classics.

Caligula scratched his beard, “Ah, a hardcore skeptic then, I see.” He said with a nod, “It certainly is a pragmatic way to live life, but I don’t think the world is free of nuance.” He pushed up his glasses with a soft chuckle, “If that was the case, I’d probably be out of a job after a while, so I guess I don’t really have much of a choice than to believe that.”

Theon paused for a minute, considering an idea, then his face slowly took on a sly grin, “Yes… that’s good…” He murmured, holding his chin thoughtfully, “Okay! I have an idea, just follow my lead, alright?” He said, beginning to swim off again. By now, their presence began attracting the attention of the people around, shoppers and merchants alike. Theon chose someone that he thought to be a suitable target, a young woman with and timid-looking, naive face. He leans against the bank of the canal, “Miss… please, would you buy some pearls?” He asked, his face changing from its usual arrogant expression to a sad face as if subtly trying to draw sympathy, his voice also changing to mask the taste of nobility in his speech, “You see… Milady here, after the death of her husband,” He looked down with a face of remorse, “We were kicked outta the kingdom,” He took a couple of pearls out of his pouch, “These were the last things that Milady’s husband left her, but now we can’t even afford food.” He looked back up at the woman with a look of desperation, “Please, Miss! You have to buy some!”

Theon nodded, “I haven’t either actually.” He said, resurfacing at the edge of the shore. There seemed to be a canal carved into the island leading to the harbor marketplace. He swam through the canal inspecting each of the shop stalls that they passed, “Do you know what kind of shop will buy these? Maybe a jewelry store, but it would be harder to scam them out of more money…” He glanced at Asona, “Do you have any ideas? You’ve been abroad more than I.”
Dante watched Gully hop around with a smile of sympathetic happiness, “Are the berries edible?” He asked, cocking his head slightly, “I could probably go for a snack now that I think about it.”

Caligula sighed, “If we’re being frank, I haven’t read the whole thing to date.” He ran a hand through his hair, “The entire process was hell and I know that made it reflect my emotion more than I originally intended.” He explained, putting his hands in his pockets and letting his shoulders hunch forward in an expression of melancholy, “I believe my editor enjoyed it, but I’ll have to wait for the reviews to come in.” He sighed again, shaking his head slightly, “I bet the tonal change throughout the book is gonna be off-putting… aah my career…” He murmured in despair.

Dante turned back to Gully, cocking his head slightly, “You wanna come with me?” He asked halfway rhetorically, “You’ve been around? Anything cool around?” he asked, his chipper voice combined with Italian accent almost made it sound like he was singing.

Theon smiled at her before glancing upward in thought, “I wonder if I should tell my friend… He might get mad…” he murmured, scratching his cheek in contemplation, “…Maybe that would be more interesting.” He seemed to briefly zone out, suppressing a grin at whatever thought crossed his mind, “Ah- never mind that,” He chuckled, “Lets just get going, yes?”
Dante watches Vasanistis turn away and relaxes, standing up and brushing the leaves and sand off his clothes. “Hiding.” He responded bluntly, “Guess it doesn’t really matter anymore, so I’ll just go explore a little.” He said, giving a little nod and smile to Gully.

Makio snapped a picture of Arrenadd in the brief moment both his eyes were exposed, his photographer’s instincts kicking in before his mind could. He blinked and quickly looked down, “…Sorry.” He looked down at his camera’s screen, looking over the photo. He let his camera drop around his neck again without deleting the photo despite his apology.

Caligula nodded sympathetically to Astelis’ story, “It worked out in almost the same way for me.” He said, pushing himself out from the wall, beginning to walk back toward the house, “Prior to this, was working intensely on the longest novel in my career… I won’t bore you with the details, but it was fairly intense work that wore me down.” His tall lazily swayed demotivatedly, “I mentioned I’m taking this as a vacation, that’s why.” He sighed, then glanced at the front page of his notebook, “In fact, I’m fairly sure the book goes on sale about a week from now.”
