“Y-yeah…” Nagisa stands up and takes Fang’s hand, glancing back to the man chasing him, he takes his hand and runs into the music shop.
-
Okarin sighs, trained smile still on his face. He reaches deep into his pocket, touching a different syringe, one filled with sedative that all hospital staff are required to carry whenever in the wing with the unstable patients, however he was reluctant to use it. “Do you mind moving a little? There’s other patients I need to attend to.”
-
Okarin manages to force a small laugh, he steps away a little, “Ah, sorry buddy, that’s not really something I can do right now.”
-
Nagisa fell to the ground under Fang’s weight. For a second, he was completely disoriented. After a few seconds, he managed to regain his bearings somewhat, “Huh… Fang?” He startles a little bit, sitting up a little, “A-are you alright?! What happened?”
-
“Eh? Sure, what do you want?” Okarin turns back to look at Cobalt, digging through the pockets of his lab coat, finding enough loose change to probably be able to buy something from a vending machine.
-
Nagisa follows a few feet behind Koharu, holding his arm across his chest, still looking down.
-
Snidely frowns and crosses his wings, deciding not to give Fern the satisfaction of a response. He puts up his wing, hailing the waitress, “I’ll take a scotch on the rocks.” Leo lifts his head up from the paper, “Ah, and I’ll take a Guinness and a cheeseburger.”
-
Nagisa nods and puts the strap over the shoulder, “Yeah, I guess so…”
-
Okarin gives a relieved sigh and a kind smile, picking up and uncapping the syringe, “Thank you! You shouldn’t feel a thing…” He presses the needle into the muscular part of Cobalt’s arm, then he stands up, putting his hands in his lab coat pocket, “I need to finish my job now, but I’ll check in on you in the morning.
-
Okarin crosses his legs and flips over one of the sheets of paper on his clipboard, “well… Yes, that’s going to happen… But let me explain.” He pulls out a pen from his lab coat pocket and draws a quick sketch of a brain, it didn’t look good but it was accurate. He points to an area of the brain, “You see, in your brain, there are receptors here, and certain chemicals that go here, but yours are out of whack. What we’re trying to do is fix it with a trial drug regiment.” He picks up the needle again, “but with this, it should recalibrate that, but while it does that, it has a sort of numbing quality.” He turns the page on the clipboard again, pointing to a spot on the chart, “we’re switching your meds in about too weeks, and that should help too, but you’ll need to take this.” He gives Cobalt an expression with just a touch of desperation in his expression, “So please, can you take it?”
-
Okarin sits up a little bit, “it’s alright, no one here blames you, alright? You don’t need to beat yourself up over it.” He slowly reaches for the syringe, “This’ll help clear your head, will you let me give it to you?”
-
“Ah…” Okarin frowns sympathetically, “You’re classified as potentially dangerous to personell here,” he glances down towards his chart again, “I’m not generally on your case, so I don’t know much save for what medicine you need, but the other doctors are afraid you might hurt them.”
-
Okarin caps the syringe and places it on the ground next to him, taking a seat in front of Cobalt. He had somewhat expected this to happen, late-night med rounds were never easy in his experience. “Alright, I won’t touch you.” he gives a tired, wry smile, leaning on one hand, “you wanna talk then?”
-
Okarin glances down at his chart, 2 cc of Cerabelladryl, it read. He runs his hand through his hair, pulling a syringe from kit by his shoulder, “Says here you can’t take medicine orally…” He pulls out a small vial of clear liquid looking to be slightly thinner than water and measures out the proper ammount, double-checking there’s no air bubbles in the needle, “…sorry about this, but you shouldn’t feel a thing, this chemical has a side-effect of numbing the nerves it comes directly in contact with, pretty cool, huh?” He kneels down on one knee, slowly approaching Cobalt in a non-threatening way.
-
“I-I guess…” Nagisa nervously stutters, “um… B-but would the guitar be safe though?”
