Leo blinks once, then takes off his mask. He had a somewhat round beak for a male chicken and facial features that were vaguely cute if not for the mischievous, slightly malignant smile he wore”I’ll tell you for free… but only if you let me have her for the night.” He addressed to Snidely, who scowled then glanced at Fern with an expression that said ‘your call.’
-
After they finish, Nagisa smiles, “Your voice is good.” He lays the guitar across his lap and hunches forward a little, leaning his chin on his interlocked fingers in a contemplative looking position, “…You said you wanted to sing as a job, right?” He leaned back again, “I, um, know some people and might be able to help.”
-
“Leo…” The other chicken answers, rubbing his arm where Snidely grabbed him, “What do you guys want from me anyway?” Leo says, sounding a little ticked off. Snidely leans against a wall and sighs, “We just need to find out about Morphine, alright? If you would help, I’ll make it worth your while.”
-
Nagisa nods and begins to play a rendition of the piano part on the guitar, it sounded correct but a little different. He simplified the melody a little so it would lend itself to guitar a little better.
-
“He wasn’t running.” Snidely says and pulls the chickens wing above his head, twisting him around to look him in the eye, “You didn’t answer me, are you in Morphine?” The other chicken looked to be a little younger than Snidely, his feathers were a light chestnut brown and he wore a black jacket and a dark purple paint mask with red accents. His crest feathers where kinda long and a little droopy, he used a green bandana to keep them off his eyes. “Yeah, ok, I am– ow! Fuck, man, that hurts!” Snidely sighs and drops the guys wing.
-
Nagisa nods, “I… um, my voice is no good, not for singing at least…”
-
Snidely catches up to the guy then grabs him by the wing and twists it behind his head. The chicken lets out a short yelp of pain, dropping his bag, a can of deep crimson colored spray paint falls out, the same color as Morphine’s tag. Snidely smirks ever so slightly, feeling accomplished at having made progress,”Ah! You… You’re part of Morphine, correct?”
-
“Um… No, but if I hear it I can probably… probably manage something.” Nagisa says, looking down to his fingerboard, timidly plucking false harmonics.
-
Snidely slows down for a second, then notices a suspicious-looking chicken wearing a black hoodie and carrying a small overnight bag across the street, “Hey!” Snidely calls out to him and recklessly runs across the street.
-
“Aright, then follow my lead.” Snidely jumps onto the dumpster then back over the fence. After landing on the other side of the wall, he looks around and chooses a direction, “Probably went this way…” he begins to jog down the street.
-
“Whatever you want.” Nagisa says as he warms up with some scales, “I can play anything.”
-
“…You sing?” Nagisa puts his palm over the strings to mute the noise, “Do you wanna go now? I can back you up.” He unplugs the bass and switches to an electric guitar, playing a couple cords and adjusting the tuning.
-
Snidely pockets his phone again, “Don’t get to exited, we didnt find Morphine yet.” He stepped back, putting his wings in his pockets, “So what next, miss detective?”
-
“Oh… that’s why you’re here?” Nagisa changes his melody to a somewhat swanky bassline, “Are you doing well?”
