Caligula gave a soft chuckle, “It’s always been both a strength and a weakness,” he replied, glancing at Astelis, “Can’t say it’s the most interesting thing, but I enjoy my work.” He said in reference to the notes he took earlier, offering Astelis a cigarette. He too glanced over the house, “I suppose it is rather cute. Can’t say I had any part to play in this. My sense of aesthetic is far less welcoming.”

Also I made his expression suuuper weird for some reason
Not really sure why, it just kinda felt right -
Makio glances up at Shino and snaps a picture of him quickly, fast enough that he wouldn’t be able to react. He glances down at the screen on his camera with a small smile, giving a small nod of approval, “It looks cute.” He said in a somewhat monotone voice.

Makio nodded somewhat stiffly, “I see…” he murmured in response, allowing his gaze to drift off around the room before refocusing on Arrenadd, “Erm… so…” He mumbled, wracking his brain for any conversation topic, staring as the printer slowly spat out his pictures, “Canon’s releasing a new DSLR lens later this week,” he said awkwardly, softly and quickly, “It looks pretty neat…” His voice trailed off as he glanced from the printer to Arrenadd, scanning his face for any trace of interest before becoming demotivated into silence.

Makio stood from his desk and walked over to the corner of the office to retrieve his newly finished set of photos. He stood with his hands in his pockets and his back against the wall, waiting for the printer to spit out all of the pictures. He glanced over at Arrenadd. He stayed awkwardly silent for a moment before awkwardly trying to begin a conversation, “Hey… erm… Whats up?” he said stiffly, fidgeting with his hands in his pockets.

Bai Longma gave a small nod. pleased with their diplomacy, then closed his eyes with a faint chuckle, “Though, it’s quite interesting, no?” He began, crossing his arms in his sleeves and glancing at Kongming, “Out of everyone present, you seem to be the only one who isn’t divine. Perhaps it’s fated.” The latter half of his words trailed off thoughtfully.

“There’s always work to do…” Caligula muttered in response, biting the end of his pen for a second before suddenly snapping out of his thoughts, “A new one, eh? Welcome to our home.” he said, politely nodding to Astelis before standing up and glancing around, “Ah…? Where did the other one’s go…?” He murmured under his breath, only now present enough to realize that they left. He let out a gentle sigh and turned back to the angel, running a hand through his hair, “Come along, they’re probably around somewhere.” He flicked a cigarette out of the carton and placed it in his mouth, beginning to walk toward the center of the house.

Makio glanced first to Arrenadd, then to the mostly empty office before burying his head back into the tablet he’d been scribbling on. “Welcome back.” He murmured slightly awkwardly as Arrenadd passed.

Bai Longma glances down at Yi, “You can relax, no one here is gonna hurt you.” He said in a soft voice, then looked toward Kongming, “However, you should ask before touching someone next time.”

Caligula didn’t move from his spot, listening to the other’s conversation with half of his attention, but remained where he sat, still scribbling in his notebook.

Theon gawked at this new revelation, “Whoa… an alien impervious to the timestream?!?” he said, recoiling slightly and putting his arms up in a flashy defensive gesture, “You really are a formidable enemy… the coming battles will be difficult…” As Milli addressed Sayuri, Leppu’s attention was drawn behind him. He startled slightly as he looked at her, “Whoa!” He squeaked, “So many people today!”

Theon let his head fall to the side, “Interestingly depressing for someone like you.” he said with a dull voice, raising an eyebrow, “Guess that makes you quite the hedonist, doesn’t it?” He crossed his arms on the dock, laying down his head to face Asona, “Well, whatever, ‘s not like I’m one to talk.” He said, eyes shifting from her to a strand of his hair he’d begun twirling between his fingers.

*Somewhat timidly walks into the Cafe, glancing around before greeting the hosts and hostesses with a nod.* Hey, I’m Wake. I’m new to this part of town, so I thought it would be good to greet the neighbors and hanging around here would do the trick, “scratches the back of his neck and glances down* er, at least that’s what I thought. Overhearing some of the conversation around, I guess I should specify that I’m a normal human *chuckles awkwardly and runs a hand through his hair* that came out a little weirdly… Anyway, while I’m here, I’ll probably be spending most of my time drawing in the corner, so lets get along! *Gives a small, somewhat stiff bow.*

Bai Longma gave a small nod, “Indeed, you’re quite the perceptive one.” He said, brushing a lock of hair behind his ear, “I’ve been around practically as long as China itself.”

Bai Longma smiled faintly, glancing down at the persimmon he cut for a moment before taking another bite of it, “Indeed he was.” he said in a soft voice, then looked back up at Ai, his expression reverting to its usual emotionlessly serene state. “However, it would be an honor to teach you.” he said, putting a hand to his chest and giving a small bow.
