“Heyhey!” Leppu says, instinctively jumping into the river, “But we’re friends now, right? And how do you make water anyway?” He said, head beginning to go under the water slightly, “I-forgot I cant swim…” He said, water filling his mouth. He frantically scuttled to the river bank and clung onto it for dear life, “This was a bad idea… h-how do I get up?” he said with a panicked voice.

“Yes, finally!” He stretched out his arms, “Whulp, here I go!” He saluted again, trying to salvage his moment of glory. Leppu jumped through the portal, only to land painfully on the floor, “Ow…owowowow….. that was underwhelming… What the hell, ethereal gate! I though we where friends…” Leppu does an orz (sorry, don’t know how else to describe it) and sniffles, beginning to tear up slightly, “my life is meaningless…” he shoots up and leans his head up with his arms behind his neck, “You guys wanna get sodas? On me!”

“Im completely 100% with all my heart sure! …I think” He reaches his arm out, trying to reach the portal, “Its totally fine, alright? I’m so exited to see it cause I didn’t think it was real! So lemme at it!” He squirms around more vigorously with excitement as well as frustration.

“Its the ethereal gate… I think!” He says confidently and begins squirming around again, “Now lemme go! I need to jump in the thing!!”

Leppu looks at him with the slightest race of anger on his face, “Hey! Theres a portal here, whats the point of it if we’re not supposed to jump in? Hence…” Leppu struggles unsuccessfully to escape Barnaby’s grip, “Uh, this is the point when you let go and I heroically leap into the portal?” He started kicking around and pouting like a child, unable to escape, “This is no fair! You’re cheating by being taller than me…”

Leppu, hearing Skylar mutter that leaps up and runs through the waterfall, almost drowning in the process, and stands next to her and staring at the portal, “What…? Its real?” He murmurs barely audibly, then grins, “Whulp! Nice work team!” He puts pout his hand to no one in particular for a fistbump, “Nowhere to go but up! Or in I guess… whatever words are stupid, Ill see you on the flipside!” He says, gives a salute and prepares to jump into the portal.

Leppu stops i n his tracks, “Sorry, sorry! Uh, have you seen a girl with an archaic style dress run by here? She’s an organization spy and we need to keep her from killing again.”

“Whoa!! This is so cool!! I’ve never flown before.” Leppu says, floating over the river, then lets go of the backscratcher and lands rather ungracefully, “Im gonna go find that girl, she has to clean this up before someone without a floaty friend comes along.” He begins to run down the hallway the girl went, his metal boots clanging loudly on the floor as he went.

“Am I supposed to grab this or something?” Leppu says, poking at the end of the backscratcher. “it looks kinda flimsy.”

“H-hey! Thats cheating!!!” Leppu puts his hand on the back of his head, “I cant swim…” He look around, seeing no hallways, “Why did she have to block of the hall… so mean… I guess I could just go back and around, where were we going anyway?”

“wat?” Leppu bends down and touches the water from the river, “I’ve never seen anything like this before…. she must be an organization spy trying to keep us from finding the gate. What a dirty trick, creating a river.” Â He stands up and puts his hands in his pockets, “How does that even happen anyway? I don’t get it.”

“Well, its kinda whiteish and swirly I guess, about this big, ” Â He says, drawing a large rectangle with his hands, “And its kinda smokey and goes out, and its all like ‘woosh’ you know.” Leppu scratches the back of his head, “Its…uh, really hard to describe”

“Nope!” Leppu says, “we just gotta look till we find it. I used to have a thing that detected etheral waves emitted from the portal, but I lost it”

“Whoa, someone finally believes me…” Leppu muttered to himself, then ran a few steps to catch up to Lawrence, his metal shoes clanging on the floor. “Yeah!!! Lets go find it!!” He said exitedly.

“Well do you normally fall asleep snuggling with your sketchbook? I mean I usually don’t, that would be wierd, but, I mean to each their own and all…” Windy shrugs and rummages around in her pockets looking to see if there happened to be a spare piece of gum, but only finding a box empty of everything but the smell of chemical strawberry and disappointment.
