“This is incredible! I have to show this to my higher-ups! Sorry, gotta go!” Mars yelled as he ran out of the room and held a small green crystal while saying weird Magic-stuff. “Oh, by the way, enjoy your night of debauchery!” he called back.

“Nonono…. You don’t understand! I just made a FUCKING BLACK HOLE. Imagine one of those in combat! Suck up your enemies in a black hole! AWESOME!” Mars continued to ramble about physics, oblivious to the situation.

Why is it that its always up to me to solve everyone’s problems? Mars questioned. With a snap of his fingers, he teleported the black hole into a faraway place. “That…” he said quietly… “WAS BEAUTIFIL!” He quickly rushed to the only other people he knew the location of on campus to explain the new fear, Tony and Ren. “GUYS!” he said. “GUESS WHAT I DID?!?”

Unable to find Takra, Mars returns to his house in the sky. “Oh well, I’ll find him later. Guess I better try this out without him…” Mars said to no one in particular. “Although…” He snapped his fingers, and he was in a training room at the school. Several straw old-fashioned dummies were strewn about. “This will work.” he said, again, to himself. He looked into the air, and focused himself. This would be awesome to pull off. If he could detach hydrogen atoms in the air, or better yet something else, and collie them against each other with tremendous speed, he calculated, it was within reason that with 3.1e47 joules of energy he could create a reasonable kugelblitz, or a black hole made entirely from energy as opposed to mass. He focused his mind, and a second later, all hell broke loose. Almost instantly the dummies were sucked in, and although he tried to stifle the pull with, magic, the force was too massive. He lost control, screaming “OH SHIIIIIIIII-” as he was thrown about the room.

Gosh, no one ever notices me. Why I’m not an assassin I don’t know…. Mars thinks to himself. “Anyway, you two seem busy, so I better go.” He vanishes without time for a response, off to go talk to Takra.

Mars walked out of the shadows he had been lurking in in Tony’s room. “Boo!” he says with a laugh. “Am I interrupting something?”

After recieving directions, bashing a few heads in, and generally usurping the entire new American government ((like it needed any help there)) Mars was able to find the area perfect for performing a ritual to send him back to the school. He lay 5 candles in a pentagon, and drew a number of strange runes on the ground. He stood in the middle with everything he brought back, but he wasn’t quite ready to go yet. In his time here, he had managed to retrieve a pet very dear to him, and also a friend he knew, a shapeshifter, who had come here with him. As a final symbol, he summoned his owl onto his shoulder and the shapeshifter next to him. Finally ready to come home, Mars vanished through the portal he had opened seconds earlier, excited to be back with his friends.

“Uh-oh. These guys seem like bad news.” Mars was correct in his assumption, they quickly realized, as three men with large stick-like devices burst into the room. “I can handle this.” Mars said to the nervous man. He pulled a small deck of cards out of his pocket. “This is a spell I’ve been wanting to try for a while.” Mars pulled a card out of the deck, and threw it onto the ground. “YOU HAVE BEEN DEEMED UNWORTHY.” a large voice bellowed. “ENTER THE VOID!” The three men instantly writhed and squirmed before falling to the floor. “W-w-what did you do?” said the man. “Just banished their souls away. They are weak minded, and serve no purpose.” Mars picked up his bag, asked for directions, and calmly set out for the nearest town.

((For anyone worried, the card thing only works on really weak NPCs. It’s not really OP. Although I hope to add some more cards in the future.))

As far as Mars could tell, he was still in Iowa. Unfortunately, he couldn’t just snap his fingers and open up a portal on his own to get home. Teleportation here for long distances was risky, as who knows what it might attract. He flew across the sky, looking for civilizations, when he felt a strong force pulling on his very existence. “What the he-” he managed to yell before disappearing out of the air with a poof of black smoke.

“What on earth were you THINKING!? Flying up there with them out?” Mars was jolted back to reality. He looked to his side and saw a young man glaring at him. “Sorry.” he replied. “I haven’t been here before.” “WELL APPARENTLY NOT!” the young man countered indignantly. “Listen, we have to get you out of here before THEY come!” Now it was Mars’ turn to be confused. “Who?..” he questioned, but he would get no answer. Just then, there came a banging on a door a short distance away. “Them.” the man said, distraught.

Mars was unsure of where he was. Last he recalled, he had been flying above earth, when something went wrong. But where was he now? He reached into his bag and pulled out a sleek black tome. He flipped it open, and began to chant as the air around him turned cold. The sky nearby turned a rich shade of pomegranate. Once the air returned to normal, Mars was no longer there. In his place, there was a large black raven. He looked to the sky and took off, hoping to get a better view of the area.

Mars slowly awakens in a field somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Dazed, he slowly gets up. He looks around, and sees no immediate danger. For some inexplicable reason, he looks to the stars as some unknown force takes him over. “Guess who?!” he maniacally screams to no one in particular. “Now, to get out of here…”

Mars’ eyes went wide in realization, but suddenly they were back to normal again. He raised his hand up to his head and hit it twice. “I don’t…. remember. I left when I was very young. They….. sent me away. They said… I shouldn’t exist. I don’t know, it’s all so confusing.” Mars said. “Who’s memories are these?” Mars thought. “I don’t think this ever happened to me… But suddenly I remember… Spring, flowers, and…. her.”

“Yeah, just….” Mars says. “You don’t know what it likes. Hearing their screams in my head. Every night I go to sleep, I remember them. The ones I’ve killed to save myself. It hurts me thinking about it. And that’s why we need to stop that demon. Because I have to avenge their deaths. I have to do this for them. And for her.”
